Best Plaster & Drywall

I've hired Garth for multiple projects. He's done an excellent job for me each time. He's repaired plaster, drywall, larger and smaller projects in multiple properties. He's my go to guy for ANY plaster and drywall repair. I've hired many contractors for different projects. He's on my best list

Garth really brought my plaster walls back to life. My house is an old parsonage that used to be part of the Russian Art Museum so I needed someone with skill working on old homes with plaster and lathe. It was intricate work trying to match the texture on the walls and he made them look great! He was the perfect fit! He is highly competent and extremely skilled at his job! I would highly recommend!!

Do not hire. Nice man but super disappointed customer. Work done was unskilled, sloppy, and unfinished. Plaster repair not completed. Cracks in the ceiling. Popcorn and patchy spots remain above the picture rail. He said the rail would not be a barrier when he came to give the quote. We now have to pay to have the work re-done. Communication with Garth about the status of the project was poor. And, he left a mess in our home with light fixtures full of popcorn/plaster and plaster mud on our wood floors.

Garth was fantastic to work with (and an all-around awesome guy). He replied super quickly, got an estimate back to us promptly and he did excellent work. We had him remove some popcorn ceiling and repair/paint the plaster in a very precarious spot and it looks brand new. We also had him install an access panel in a hole created by a plumbing issue. Our house was built in 1918, and it gave him some surprises, but the outcome is great.

Our home has unique textured finishes on the walls and ceilings. We sustained some water damage and had to replace a large section of the kitchen ceiling. We also had several ceiling and wall cracks that needed to be repaired. Garth did all of the plaster work and it matched the existing ceilings and walls perfectly. He also did a new rough plaster finish on our breezeway ceiling to match the adjoining office. He is very talented at what he does, and his pricing was very fair. My contractor warned me that I might not find someone who could do this type of plaster work these days. I was glad that I found Garth and proved him wrong. I recommend Garth without reservation. His work is beautiful.

Garth was very quick, professional, thorough and really helped us out in a pinch! We had a large electrical project (completely re-wiring a very old home that had mostly knob & tube wiring) and we also had a tight timeline to complete painting before the arrival of a new baby. Garth was able to fit repairs into a short window, even finishing over the weekend, to ensure our painting project could start on time. The repairs look so smooth!

Garth was great. He was responsive, kept his promised scheduled date, and knocked off the job w/ a minimal amount of fuss, mess or repeat trips. We highly recommend him!

Best Plaster - was just that! Garth communicated well & in a timely fashion. He understood issues with plaster, bead-board & sheet rock. His estimate was spot on with the final bill. He adjusted the bill down as the final project wasn't as involved as the potential projected. He started and completed the 3 day project in the predicted time line. I have worked with many craftspeople over the years and Garth is by far one of best.

Garth did a great job on our bathroom ceiling. He is friendly, punctual, and was a great communicator. He gave us tips to keep the ceiling from peeling. We chose to paint the ceiling ourselves and he suggested what product to use to effectively do so.

Garth was an amazing professional - he was timely, professional, friendy, he did not go over quote, and I think he completed the job even earlier than he had quoted me. I would absolutley hire him again, and he was signifiantly cheaper than the other quote I had gotten from someone else. He was phenomenal, and I can't rave enough about him.

The work was done very well, and for a reasonable price. Mr. Peel was efficient, punctual and polite; and the work area was left clean.

Original work needed a call-back which was handled expeditiously and without additional charge. Some minor repair still needed; area not cleaned up very well.

I was reluctant to hire someone without a reference but it was suggested I try Angie's List. Garth promptly returned my call and a time was set up for him to come by and take a look at what we needed and give us a quote. The price seemed very reasonable and we hired him to do the work. Through no fault of his, what he expected to be a 3-day project became 6 days. Garth arrived on time every day and kept me informed each step of the way. He did a great job with the plaster repair, skim coat, and painting of the walls and ceiling in our sunroom. He is both very personable and professional and we couldn't have been happier with his work. We would most definitely hire him again and would encourage friends or family to do the same.

The plaster repair was on a 1938 house. Garth leveled/ filled in the previous job, and matched the sand texture so the repair is invisible from the rest of the wall.
