On 4 June 2019, I paid Better Homes and Services $3,317.32 as deposit for a total bathroom remodel. Work on this project never started. After three months of non-activity, I requested a full refund. Since then, Philip Roberson, owner of Better Homes and Services, and Bruce Rutledge, the sales rep, have not responded to repeated e-mails and phone calls. I want a refund of $3,317.32.

On June 4, 2019, I paid Better Homes and Services $3,317.32 as a deposit for a guest bathroom remodel. Work on this project never started. (Today is September 9, 2019.) My sales rep has left the company and does return my calls. Philip Roberson, owner of Better Homes and Services, has not responded to my repeated e-mails. I requested a total refund of my deposit. Better Homes and Services has not responded to either my calls or my e-mails.

It started out fine. I am working with the BBB organization to get help fixing a list of items not done to my liking. The remodel deal I purchased included painting, but fid not any filling in holes. The paint job was not the best, had roller lint dried into the paint. Purchased a Bluetooth exhaust fan and after using it twice, the exhaust fan (only) has stopped working. I have a leaking shower head when in use, a shower door that does not shut properly, the vanity drawer does not align/close correct, the sink has a small slit in it, and with use, you notice it more. The hardware was put to close together so it's had to clean between the knobs, etc. etc. etc.

I submitted a lengthy review of the guys' work a few days after it was completed. Apparently, that review went nowhere. I just learned it's not on line. It's been awhile so, I'll just write that the work was excellent. I could not have asked for, or gotten more for my investment in this project with this company. I highly, highly recommend them!

Hired to perform a variety of repair jobs connected to a home inspection. Workers were skilled and conscientious. Also later went back to the house and provided us with photographs when the relocation company required proof repairs had been completed.

Samuel and Phillip, with good spirits, walked into this professional carpenter’s nightmare on February 13. They did a great job. They had the ceiling installed in nine hours and the floor installed in another nine hours. Floor and ceiling planks are well aligned, tight. They accommodated a room that is WAY (9 inches) out of square and a floor that is, to be candid, very wavy. They were prompt, friendly, listened well, took minimal breaks, and left no mess and virtually no material waste. They tolerated four curious, grumpy dogs. I was impressed. I certainly will use this company again when I get overwhelmed by one of the many remaining jobs on this place.

It was a great experience from day one. Better Homes and Services assisted with the new design, using some of our ideas as well as their own. When it came to choosing flooring, cabinets and other products, they provided us with the information needed and a point of contact, to make the selection process even easier. The HAAS cabinetry that they offered was far more superior in quality and price than anything we had seen elsewhere. The work was actually completed in less time than anticipated and their technicians cleaned every night to keep dust and debris to a minimum. We could not have been happier with the experience and we highly recommend this company to our friends and family that are looking to do a remodel.

Very well. Work was begun on time. Still awaiting final completion with shower glass and door installation. Some minor finishing that will be completed when glass is installed. Workers were very professional and friendly. Showed up on time and worked hard full days to meet schedule. Good project management.

Did the installation as well as the electrical work, replacing the drywall, mudding and painting. When he was done I realized I had not done a very good job communicating with him as ti the placement. He installed it where a light used to be, which in hindsight makes sense but I wanted it centered. I called the company and they sent someone out within a week. They repositioned it and made the repairs to the ceiling where the it was originally positioned...no charge. I would highly recommend them. I love the work they did.... and I love Better Homes & Services! Thanks guys.

They haven't done anything. I could tell when the guy was out looking at my hiuse, he didn't want the job. I want my money back I put down.

Not well. Tear out, plumbing, and prep was great: tile job was miserable. Tiles are not flat, and grouting was miserable.

It is severely bowed which is a problem at the manufacturer. We tried to explain this. We will be happy to come back and rip it out and put up a new better quality tile if you like? Horrible . We waited about two weeks to get a "plan" that had no measurements, no appliance or cabinet sizes / suggestions. We also had to call him a week after he told us he would be in touch but he didn't . He said that he was ill and then out of town which is fine as long as you pass that on to your customer . We obviously wont be using their services or recommending them.

Price was way over what the Angies deal called for. I paid for ALL items. They did only labor at the cost of 4 ( four) thousand plus dollars. I asked for a three day heads up so I could make the room ready for work. They called me and said the workers are on their way, will be there in twenty minutes. I did not get The deal that I paid for from Angies list. I want my money back that I paid to Angies List because I did not receive the deal that I paid a deposit for.

The cost of the project exceeded the Angie’s List Big Deal as the scope of the project was far larger than what the deal allowed. I’m sure you can understand how increasing the overall scale of your renovation subsequently increases the cost. Still, your new bathroom looks magnificent! Also, you ended up paying approximately $6500 for a remodel that would have cost your $12500 anywhere else. We would say that is a unbelievable deal by anyone’s standards."
