Betts Appliance Repair

The owner took our cash payment and then never returned with the parts to finish the job. It's been almost two months since we paid him to repair our refrigerator. He avoids our calls and texts. Stay away from this company!!

Prompt in coming out and diagnosing. Said it would be a couple days for the part to come in. Took over a week for him to come back and repair due to ,”helping other families”. Little communication in that period of time and felt like a burden when asking for updates.

I needed my washer repaired when it wouldn't drain. I chose Mr Zach Betts when he contacted me via Angies List. He came to my house and after numerous attempts determined it wasn't worth repairing. He offered to find a used washer, deliver and install for a reasonable price. I agreed and he installed the next day. I paid him and he left. When I did laundry later I found only hot water was coming out of all wash/rinse settings. I was afraid to wash my colored and delicate clothes. I called Mr Betts and asked to come back and fix th d problem. He said he had already installed correctly and must be machine defect. He said to call the store it was purchased from and they would repair for free because they had 90 day warranty. So I called the store and they said wouldn't repair free because they hadn't delivered it. I called Mr Betts and he said he didn't know that. I asked him to please come back and fix the problem. He agreed to by the end of the week. This was Monday so Thursday I called and left message to let me know when would be here, Fri or Sat? He didn't return my call so I texted him. He didn't respond to my calls or texts by Saturday so I knew he was ignoring me. I called the store and agreed to pay the $55 and made an appointment for the next available time which was 3 days later, Tues. On Tues the store repairman found the water hose hookups were reversed and had been connected wrong by Mr Betts. He unhooked them and connected correctly: hot-left, cold-right. After he made sure everything was working correctly, I paid him $55 and he left. This all happened during the 14 day warranty Mr Betts company website stated for "Customer Satisfaction Guarantee"!!! i still have not heard from Mr Betts. As a senior citizen on a fixed income battling cancer, this was a stressful and disappointing experience. I will Never use Angies List again!!!

It went great. He was great and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend again and again. I will call them every single time I need something done around the house, he was in and out in a flash and very flexible with my schedule. The service tech came in with a smile and left me feeling that he really enjoyed helping people, that was his passion. This is a solid place and I will always come here first when I need something fixed.

After we had talked on the phone, and based on his feedback, I did some more testing of the machine and found the problem was my error. Mr Betts graciously cancelled the service call at no charge.

Zack was great! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He was more than helpful and patient while I had to make a few alterations to the project. I would highly recommend Betts for your home install/repair needs.

Great! Very professional

Overall, the whole thing felt kinda shady. The guy wanted to be paid in cash, didn’t give us an invoice or receipt for the service call. He wasn’t able to repair or find out what was wrong with our refrigerator, and seemed to be watching YouTube videos for help in determining how to proceed. I’m fine paying for a service call that involves a skilled professional, but this guy came across as more of a con artist.
