They were phenomenal they did the new roof and new ceilings inside because of water damage due to a poor workmanship from a previous contractor the foreman was excellent they were on time and they finished on time they cleaned up beautifully every day and I would not hesitate to use them again

Erik met with me we went over the work I wanted done.   I had a written estimate the next afternoon after discussing we agreed on a price of  about 17k.   Work was scheduled for the end of Feb.   Erik and his crew showed up on the agreed date and proceeded to work.  His crew was fabulous kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned up every night after themselves.   I love my kitchen but the deck is absolutely my favorite.  I let Erik design it and I cannot wait to have my first barbecue to show it off.  This was probably one of the most stress free remodeling jobs I have been through.

Elias was not only an expert in everything but he was courteous and perfect results of all work done. The price was more than fair and the owner Eric was a true gentleman. This job was done solely by his foreman Elias and everything went off without a hitch!! If you need a contractor call Big E, I know I will for any future work needed. No charge for estimates either, they are free!

FABULOUS! No need to look any further. These guys are honest, kind, and dedicated. Hard to come by today. I have used other people to find out that some of the work was not done and that I was grossly overcharged. These guys are the whole package and have done insulation in my home and actually put a trap door in my dining room floor to access the water shut off valve in my crawl space!!

<p>Outstanding. Erik and Maryann were so pleasant and accommodating. Erik, an employee of "Erik" of BigE, did the work himself and did a fabulous job. He was so informative and actually constructed a vent for my crawlspace opening, without asking, which has a thermostat and will close at a certain temperature.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I will use Big E from now on for any carpenter type jobs on my house and am so happy to have found them via Angie's List.</p> <br />

We have been trying to find someone to replace my mother's 3 skylights for 2+ years.  We had an initial contractor who went bankrupt.  We were left with skylights but no way to install them.  We found a second contractor who told us they would not fit.  However, they were leaking so we needed them sealed at the very least.  I contacted Angie list who got us in contact with Big E construction.  They came out to inspect the roof, skylights, and our new skylights.  The owner said the small skylight we had would work  and could seal the other two.  We received an estimate which I believed was fair.  He was honest and said he could not guarantee lifetime sealing on the other 2 lights which I understood.  So, I asked if he could measure so I could possibly buy new skylights and have them installed.  He was so kind and sent his foreman over to measure.  Well, to our pleasant surprise he determined that they skylights we had would work.  The foreman spent over 1 1/2 there measuring to make sure things would run smoothly.  We received a new estimate which was $1250.  We had the work done the next day.  They did an excellent job.  He put down drape cloths to minimize any mess.  They cleaned up after every stage.  The skylights were in the same day.  They look amazing!  I would recommend Big E construction to everyone I know! <br />

We had Big E Construction recommended to us to finish our basement. After 3 estimates we picked them and have no regrets! They did a great job! Dry wall, plumbing, electrical, painting, trim, columns, a full bathroom and small kitchen were all done by Big E. They were extremely friendly to my kids, helped with any questions or ideas i had and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We will def use them again! <br />

Everything went well.  With ceiling opened up,, could observe that leak source was not through pipe, but instead thru fine cracks within the fiberglass deck.  Rework went well and ceiling looks good. <br />

It went perfect. Erik is a great guy and his worker is excellent. <br />

Erik and his crew were there each day, as scheduled. They went out of their way to pick up the materials and offered great advice to help me with colors/patterns.  They cleaned the areas each day as well.  I loved the outcome of their work and professionalism during the project.  They make things that seem unreachable so simple! <br /> <br />

I called Thursday night about a broken slider at one of my properties. Erik was onsite the next morning to measure and provide an estimate. He returned on Saturday morning and had the job done within a few hours. They are respectable of your home by placing paper down over the carpet from the door to the job. <p>During the estimate and leading up to the work start date, Eric was very helpful and punctual in getting back to us with questions, concerns and changes.  The project started on March 4th and almost all aspects of the project went downhill from there.</p> <p>#1 On the second day of work, we lost hot water.  We asked Eric if it could be the work he was doing in the master bath and he said no.  So we had a plumber come in to replace the water heater the next day.  By the end of that day we still did not have hot water.  When we asked Eric about it again, he said he would check on something and before the plumber had arrived to inspect, we had hot water.  </p> <p>The plumber said the hot and cold lines had been crossed causing cold water to run through the hot tap - since this was not something that happened before Eric started on the master bath, we believe he crossed the lines during his installation of the shower fixture.  He never admitted to this nor offered to compensate us for the new hot water heater.</p> <p>#2 Once the shower tiles were installed, there was a 3/4" gap from the top of the tile and the ceiling.  When we asked Eric about how that would be rectified, he said that he thought it would be covered with the sealer and then grout - if not he would cut the tile to go up to the ceiling.  It was never done and we now have shower tiles with a 1/8" grout line and a 3/4" gap at the top by the ceiling.  The shower does look fantastic but the gap at the top really spoils the overall look - very, very disappointing. </p> <p>#3  The master bath was painted before the walls had been sanded.  </p> <p>#4  The toilet was reinstalled and it still wobbles even after we tightened the bolts.</p> <p>#5  The hot water faucet does not work properly after reinstallation. </p> <p>#6  Brought and began to install the wrong bathtub before we noticed the problem. Due to delays and frustrations we told him to move forward with installation.</p> <p>#7  The bottom of our hallway bathroom door was damaged during demo. </p> <p>#8  There was a hole punched into our stairwell hallway during demo.</p> <p>#9  He forgot to caulk/seal the shower door to the shower pan - even after caulking it leaked.</p> <p>#10  The window in the master bath was removed during demo to dump things out the window.  It was not reinstalled correctly and there is now a gap between the sash and the frame.</p> <p>#11  Finally, on day 6 the master bathroom was complete.  When we used the shower at the end of that evening, the shower leaked into the foyer below.  The nut on the drain was not tightened before the shower pan was installed.  We had to have our ceiling in the foyer cut open to access the shower drain and have it repaired.  It was at this point that we terminated Eric.  We came to  mutual agreement on the money that was owed and we hired a new contractor and plumber to inspect the work that had been done and complete the second bathroom.</p> <p>We were very excited to finally be able to have out bathrooms redone and it turned out to be a very stressful and frustrating experience for us.  </p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Mr. Timmons had the whole thing under control.  The job was done neatly and cleanly with as little disruption as possible.   We're all back together and thankful we chose Mr. Timmons,   We had estimates from three Painters/Companies and his was the middle estimate.   I was not looking forward to having the painting done but Mr. Timmons had the whole thing under control.  The job was done neat  P.S. Erik and his assistant are hard workers, friendly, and professional.

He is Eric of Big E Construction was amazing!! He was here bright & early. Extremely dependable & reliable! We are so satisfied with his work that we are telling everyone we know! Our house looks better than we could have ever imagined. The exterior of our home looks beautiful but the inside is what I love the most! He spackled beautifully and replace our trim to perfection! We did not realize how bad the windows were until we saw the finished product! We highly recommend Big E Construction! He is the only one we will ever call when we need work done! <br />

Eric is the best contractor I've ever used, hands down.  I have renovated many many properties and Eric Timmons is the most knowledgeable and professional contractor I have ever met.  He is punctual, professional, knows everything about building and can do everything!   I highly recommend Eric of Big E Construction without reservation. <br />
