We have used Julio from Big Jacks many times over the years and must say that he is reliable, professional and always tries to do the right thing. The best part is that he is a local repairman, who lives in the community and is a small business owner. I've read some of the comments that others have made and you can easily see that those with negative comments think they are dealing with a huge company with many workers. Julio is the sole repairman which means he is responsible for all aspects of His Business. If you have never been in business, especially the service business where you deal with all sorts of people, you have no idea how difficult it can be. Now add to that the fact that he is doing repairs where anything can happen which may cause him to spend more time than he originally thought, thus possible making him late for his next appointment. People who expect him to drop everything on one job to run over to them are unrealistic. Anyway, he just fixed my old dryer today, he was in and out in 20 minutes and was able to bring the right part with him after just speaking to me on the phone, I think that's pretty good if you ask me.

I would never use him again. He removed our microwave and said he had to take it to his shop to fix it. We were without anything for about 45 days. The oven went out and he said he was dealing with Bosch and said Bosch sent a part and it didn't fit. So, I was without an oven for about six weeks. I ended up negotiating with Bosch about the oven because it was only two years old and they sent me a new one. Towards the end of this, Julio wouldn't even answer his phone. We never knew when he was going to come and bring our microwave back. I did get it back finally and I'm not sure how long it's going to operate because it's already making funny noise again. I would never have him in my house. I didn't have to pay him because I negotiated with Bosch and they paid for it. He could have taken care of our problem instead of disappearing on us and leaving us with nothing. I ended up having to talk with Bosch and telling them that I had a hole in my kitchen where the microwave was supposed to be and I couldn't get hold of him. They ended up having to get hold of him and tell him to bring my microwave back. They told me he should never have removed it from the house.

My washing machine wouldn't start, so I called this person who came out the next day and looked at the back of the washer, called somewhere, that I suppose was a parts supplier, and departed, after giving me the idea that he'd be back in a timely manner to repair the machine. After a week, I had heard nothing from him and my laundry was piling up, so I called him. He said that the part had been ordered and would be in shortly, so I decided I'd be patient and give him a few more days. After another week, I still had not heard nor seen him, so I called him again. At that time I told him he should be ashamed of himself for providing such slovenly service, and I canceled the order and told him I wanted my $80.00 refunded. He began to argue with me, saying that the part had been ordered and he'd have to pay a restocking fee if he sent it back. After a few more angry words, I terminated the call. Still haven't decided what further action to take. I am not an unreasonable person, but two weeks to repair a minor issue on a washer is ridiculous. At this time I'm having to take essential items to a neighbor's house to be laundered. My husband is in extremely poor health and I have to wash about every other day, so this situation is becoming beyond inconvenient.

Ventless dryers are a rare item in Las Cruces. When we were trying to buy this one, not one appliance seller in town even knew they exist so we bought it from LG over the Internet. It has a condenser that pulls the water from the clothes and stores it inj a reservoir as distilled water.. We chose a ventless dryer so we didn't have to cut a big hole through the bricks of our house. <br /> Julio showed up on time. He presents a fine appearance and seemed very confident he could solve the proble,m, which he quickly did, He used his Smartphone to contact the LG factory and followed their instructions. A heat sensor circuit breaker <br /> had tripped. He reset it and the problem was solved. He told me the cost of a motherboard in case it later had to be replaced <br /> but it was not necessary in this case. <br /> He charged me $80 including tax which I consider to be very reasonable. <br /> I will use Julio of Big Jack's if I ever have appliance problems in the future, and I will recommend him to friends and family. <br />

I called Saturday, Steve contacted me Monday morning, came out to my house, and then fixed the problem quickly and smoothly. He'd kept parts in his shop for the older models, so all went very well. <br /> Steve and the young man who came with him were friendly and explained clearly what was wrong, what they planned to do about it, and then they did it. <br /> One of the best repair workmen experiences I've ever had. <br />

The initial visit I gave a $100 deposit towards the cost of the fix, so I didn't have to pay for a service fee twice. Replaced belt as well. Estimate of repairs was exact. <br />

We had to call them out twice. First time went smoothly and problem was fixed. Was charged $175. service call. Second time was a different problem with same appliance. A part had to be ordered and Steve told us when part would be in. We didn't hear from him, and we called and had to leave several message, with no response. He called a few days later, and installed new part. Appliance is working fine now. He did NOT charge for second service call, which was very much appreciated. The only problem I have is having to wait for call back. I am satisfied with the service..

Steve returned my call within 5 minutes and was out to help me within 2 hours. He was very professional and technically competent. My repair will be sceduled and completed when I can work it in with my schedule during the holidays. After two failures with other providers for service help from Angie's , Steve renewed my confidence and I would highly recommend him. Please see my other two reviews of Angie's List providers that did not help me. <br />

The washing machine stopped at the spin cycle and threw a code. He removed the covers from the machine and checked several valves and cleaned a couple of things. It took the better part of an hour and a half. The thing I appreciate was he explained what he found and why the machine was throwing the code. This is much more than the vendor explained in their literature. <br /> I reduced the professionalism a bit because of two things. It was a bit of a hassle to set up the appointment and the invoicing was rudimentary but acceptable. <br /> I was pleased with the service and will feel comfortable calling him again. <br />

My washing machine wasn't working so I called Big Jack's Appliance Company Inc. I have a 15 year old Kenmore washing machine that is built better than the new ones. It is non digital, I don't want one with all the new electronics. This is the first time I needed it repaired. I called and told him what it was doing and he told me what was wrong with it over the phone. The pump went bad and he came out and replaced it. He did a very good job, it only took him 15 minutes to do the repair.

They came as scheduled, diagnosed problem thru on board computer, had to order part. It took about 10 days to get the part from GE. Replaced the motor and cleaned all the junk out from inside the housing ( dyer lint and other junk) works now ok fro 4 months) <br />

This repair required major disassembly. An additional part was required to complete the job which was ordered promptly, there was no way to see this ahead of time. This entire mess was caused by a poorly installed seal allowing water to get into the bearing. I am disappointed with LG quality after this experience. <br />

Big Jack came out promptly when we called on a Saturday. As soon as the part came in he called to arrange an installation time. He came and installed the part and it's worked well ever since. We would definitely use Big Jack again and recommend him highly. He was courteous, knowledgeable, prompt, and honest.
