BIRCH TREE SERVICE

The wood was cut , not to firewood size, not moved, not stacked. wood is still in middle of yard. was paid to do that. took money, said he would come back to finish the job never came back. have been calling for two weeks now with no call back. Referred someone else to him before he screwed us over and he did that person's job and got paid all while we have been calling and calling. We are out over $200.00 now and still have to have now pay someone else to fix what we already paid for.

I generously allowed Mr Bertsch to use my driveway to remove a neighbor's tree. With no notice, he showed up on a Saturday with an enormous crane and monopolized the driveway for the entire day. They left logs and "firewood' all over the yard and tree trunk pieces (larger than my car) in the driveway. They also broke a light fixture which is not able to be restored. The logs and wood were left in my driveway and yard for over 10 days - removed only after many conversations with Mr. Bertsch. He has made no attempt to repair/replace the light fixture. My gravel driveway remains littered with inches of sawdust. Perhaps this job was too big for this crew as they seemed to have no way to remove the debris or be responsible for their work. <br />

Quote was considerably cheaper than others I received. However, a job that was supposed to take 1 day ended up taking 3. When they did finally finish, they cleaned the site up well. Overall they did a good job, and performed all work as agreed upon. Low price more than made up for lack of punctuality. <br />

Two men showed up promptly at 8:30 on the first day and got equipment into place.  At 9:00 they were ready to work.  This company doesn't use a bucket truck, so the job took longer than other companies might have.  They actually took two days to complete the entire job.  The owner, Paul, showed up later and worked with the other men throughout the first day and into the second day.  They all worked very hard and took only a few breaks.  The trees look so much better, they really took their time to cut away dead limbs and trim lower limbs to make everything aesthetically pleasing.  Paul asked if we wanted the firewood and his crew left it in neat piles stacked next to the trees.  The yard was cleaned and raked, they did a super job of cleaning up.  The crew was polite and friendly.  I was very happy with the job performed and would definitely hire them again.  <br />

Birch tree service trimmed 5 trees, 6 bushes and totally cut down and ground out the stumps of 4 other trees.  They cut the trees into usable pieces of firewood for me.  Paul is very knowledgeable about what he does.  He and his crew did the work, were friendly and cleaned up like they'd never been at my house.  I did have to call him a couple of times to have him come and finish the last part of the job.  I hadn't paid him yet, so it didn't seem like a big deal.  I'd have given the company an 'A' if I didn't have to call.  So I'd recommend them with that qualification. <br />

Paul came out and gave us an estimate to remove two trees w/ stumps and trim 4 other trees. His crew was able to come out in a couple of days to perform the work. What a great crew!  The trees that were trimmed look so much better, it is amazing how healthy they look. Work was done quickly and cleanup was very thorough. This is the second time we have used this company and would definitely call them again.

They arrived when scheduled and did the work in a professional manner. The owner, Paul Bertsch, is knowledgeable about tree health and answered all my questions. They also cleaned up the debris and left the yard looking good.

They were great. It worked out really well. I really liked how prompt they were. They came out to give me an estimate I think the same day I called them. The estimate was reasonable. Actually I expected to pay probably about $200 for one tree being removed, but yet they did both trees and cleaned up some of the surrounding dead branches. I would say the estimate was better than I expected it to be. They came out the next day after the estimate and they completed the job, and did it completely to my satisfaction. I would definitely use them again in the future.

How do you describe a company that quietly goes about its work competently, cleans up afterwards, and leaves a satisfied customer? I guess that's how.

This was the first time I've used them. When they arrived they even plowed the driveway without my asking them to. They put the wood where I asked them to put it. I asked them for a quote to cut down two of my trees and I haven't engaged them to do the work but they gave me the lowest quote by far of anyone in the area. I will absolutely use them in the future.

Paul talked with us about what was needed for a tree that looked like it had been hit by lightning re:saving or removing. He gave us a good report on the tree. We then asked that it be trimmed and shaped as it was both drooping over a walk and hanging near our roof. He gave us an estimate that we thought was fair. There was a delay of 2 work days because of weather but he kept us informed. When he came to complete the work, he was professional. The work was completed, the area cleaned up and we were very satisfied.

Excellent job, came out that afternoon and removed trees and came back next morning and ground stumps.

My wife called yesterday. Paul was pleasant and explained everything to her. My wife called back and ordered the firewood which he delivered today. We were very impressed. He even helped us to decide to have the wood dumped in front of my sons basketball court so that my son would be motivated to stack it in the backyard! We also had him look at some trees we want removed and will probably have him do that and some other things.

THE BEST - IN A MOST DIFFICULT SITUATION!!! OTHERS (WHO CLAIM TO HANDLE DIFFICULT TREES) SAID IT COULDN'T BE DONE & WE'D HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO FALL!
