Bill was easy to work with and did a fantastic job. We had to adjust our schedule to accommodate for some other contractor work and Bill was more than willing to adjust his own schedule to allow our project to move forward easily. I would highly recommend him.

Bishman-Dyer refinished our floors in two stages. Each time the experience was seamless, and the floors looked amazing! We also pulled the carpet from our stairs to the second floor and had them refinished. They came out beautifully! It's been a while since they were done and the floors have held up and still look great! I would definitely recommend Bishman Dyer for all my wood floor needs!

I originally had my kitchen floors refinished (oak) it turned out awesome. I was really happy so I had my office, hallway and bedroom done. Due to allergies I continued to remove carpet from each bedroom room and refinished. I later put the house up for sale! On short notice they refinished the living room floors after carpets were removed. For sale purposes they did a buff and refinish on the remaining floors. Realtor remarked that the real wood floors were awesome and the most commented on feature of the house. These guys did an amazing job and my realtor has referred them to many other sellers.

Excellent. They were the original floors and were restored there natural beauty. Workers were prompt , kind and curious. They cleaned up after themselves. Have recommended to friends and family.

Bill Bishman is a nice guy.  I wanted 2 bedrooms and the connecting hallway sanded, stained and finished.  I also wanted the living room and dining room floors refinished (not sanded or stained, he buffed them and applied a new coat of polyurethane). Overall he did an ok job. He was a little on the messy side. I noticed a large splotch of stain on the inside of a closet door, many stain splotches on the white base boards in the bedrooms, a large smudge of stain on a white doorway, and many large splotches in the bottom of the cold air return. I pointed them out to Bill and he did clean them up as best as he could.  Once the polyurethane was dried, I noticed a few areas where there were drips that weren't worked in and now look like there are drops of water on the floor. There is a 5" or so long scratch in the polyurethane from a piece of tape that was left on the bottom of a door. I was also not happy with the match of the stain in the bedrooms and hallway to the existing stain in the living room and dining room.  <br /> In the end the floors look really nice, "gleaming" one would say, I just have higher expectations. <br />

Bill worked with our schedule. He was communicative, considerate and efficient. The floors look great!

I requested my floors to be refinished.  Received a phone call, was able to text pictures to get an estimate and received prompt scheduling.  Floors look great!

When called, Bill came right over and gave an estimate which I deemed very reasonable.  I gave the o.k. for the job.  He came the next day, removed the carpet, cut in 4 ft strips and placed out by our garbage cans for garbage pick later in the week.  He did some repair work , replacing 2 pieces of plywood that was used under the carpet to cover cold air returns.  He sanded then poly coated.  He returned the next day and applied another poly coat.  He worked around our schedule and did excellent work.

Bill showed up on a Friday and provided me the estimate. I called two other floor refinishers from Angie's List and Bill's price was the best. In addition, he had a trip postponement so he was available starting the following Monday, whereas the others were all 1-2 weeks out. Bill and his team started on Monday, got the sanding and board replacement done, and first two coats of seal. They scheduled me to come out Tuesday morning to inspect before they finished, but the floor was still damp, so couldn't be walked on, and shoe molding was still damp so could not be installed yet. They finished Tuesday late afternoon, and I went over Wednesday to inspect the final results. It was a very good job, including able to sand out water stains in a couple of rooms. The replacement boards blended in perfectly, and they also did a good job on the shoe molding stain and installation. Also added a couple of threshold pieces going into the kitchen to cover the gap between where carpet strip was and kitchen linoleum, at no extra cost. Final result was very good. A handyman I had in hanging some doors was also impressed and asked for the company info so he could recommend them. Bill and his crew did clean up the house pretty well. The only negative, and I'm not sure if I had the right expectation, was that I was left to dispose of three garbage bags of sawdust and wood scrap, and the bucket from the polycoat. The house where the work was done (my parents' house) is unoccupied and doesn't currently have trash service, so I had to haul the stuff to my place and add it to my trash over a several week period. But that was a minor inconvenience compared to good work at a great price.

They were fantastic. We were in the process of putting our house on the market and leaving on vacation, and they worked around our schedules. They even came at 7 am in order to put the last coat of varnish on the floors prior to our mid-morning flight out of Minneapolis. The floors look great, and have worn well so far (it's been about three months).

HE TRIED VERY HARD TO PATCH AN AREA, IT DIDN'T TURN OUT PERFECT, BUT WE KNOW HE TRIED HIS BEST TO PATCH IT.
