BJ Matson is the best real estate agent around in our opinion. Our family has used him twice in the last few years, once for selling a home and later for buying a home. He has been outstanding in looking out for our interests, attending to detail, and being approachable when we had a question. He has helped us above and beyond what we expected from a realtor, such as changing his personal schedule to accommodate the need to view a home, researching questions we had about a property and giving us help in negotiations. He knew the "angles" to help us position ourselves to get the best real estate deal possible. ​His goal was to make sure we were happy with our purchase. ​He made the purchase of our dream house possible. The first time I contacted BJ was online through his website and I got an immediate response.  He referred me to a loan officer for pre-approval and we were looking at homes the same week.  5 years later and he's still on top of his game.  This knowledgeable and experienced real estate agent is dedicated, courteous, very patient, and great to work with.  He keeps the momentum going with everyone he contacts, does follow-ups, and always keeps me up-to-date with what is going on.  I would have to say that the highlight of my experience was me and BJ working to get an offer in the same day that the property was listed...which as it turned out got accepted the very next day.  Thanks to all of his hard work and effort, I made it through settlement smoothly and my mortgage payment is A LOT less than what my rent was (which would have gone up $150 had I renewed...um, no thanks).  So all-in-all I am happy with my purchase and I am glad to have had BJ as my realtor.  If I ever decide to sell my home, I will definitely be back in touch with him. <br />

I decided that I was tired of renting and wanted to purchase a home. I searched on Angie's List and found BJ Matson listed and with very positive reviews. From the very first meeting (on a Saturday afternoon) through the final walk through (on a Sunday morning) he was extremely helpful. BJ was always available when I needed him. On one occasion I had an appointment to view a house in the evening. BJ contacted me to let me know that there were multiple offers already in, and went to see it with me immediately. While I lost the bid on that house, BJ helped me to structure my offer so that it was more appealing and eventually helped me get my new home. He made a stressful process as easy as possible. BJ was great to work with. He's always flexible with looking at properties and comes prepared with print outs of crucial information. We recently purchased our first home, with the help of BJ Matson.  We found BJ on Angie's list, and he had great ratings.  We were not disappointed.  The purchase of our home in many ways was a nightmare, and without BJ, I'm not sure we would have been able to close on our house. <br /> After we initially contacted BJ, he came to our home and spent about an hour going over the process and potential costs of buying a home.  BJ is extremely knowledgable about different types of mortgages, and spent time with us going over the possible financial impact these various options would have.  In addition, he had already found several listings based on the parameters I had sent him, so we could already see what is available in our price range.  It was this initial meeting that convinced us to go with BJ as our realtor.  We had previously met a couple other realtors, and he is the only one who took the time to explain the home buying process with us. <br /> We went out with BJ on 3 separate occasions to look at houses.  Once we decided to make an offer on a house, BJ gave us solid advice on how much was reasonable to offer.  He had quick turnaround on everything he did.  For example, he wrote up the offer on the same day, and was persistent in contacting the seller's realtor to assess progress.  BJ suggested a great home inspector and also someone to run water tests on our well.  He helped us interpret various inspection reports on the house and helped us negotiate on seller help with closing costs.   <br /> Unfortunately, the mortgage lender we were initially working with was horrible.  Although they preapproved us for our loan, they kept pushing the closing date further and further and requesting more paperwork from us.  After a week of this, BJ actually went to the mortgage lender's office and sat in their office to force them to make a final decision.  We ended up having to find a new mortgage lender at the last minute, after our closing had already been delayed.  BJ suggested a new mortgage lender who was able to push our mortgage through in 2 weeks, and really saved our contract on the house.  I'm not sure we would have been able to close on this house with BJ's help. <br /> Overall, BJ is an awesome realtor!  He went above and beyond to help us buy our home and we could not be happier.  I would recommend BJ to anyone looking for a good realtor to help them buy or sell a house. <br />

This was my first home buying experience, so I had a lot of questions and of course I was very nervous. <br /> BJ came very highly recommended and now I know why, BJ was very patient, knowledgeable and made the whole process painless. We started looking for houses at the end of december 2013 and by february 2014 we were signing our closing documents. I would recommend BJ as a realtor without any hesitation,  he is wonderful! <br />

BJ Matson is a great real estate agent. He is knowledgeable and very helpful. One of BJ's strength is understanding and listening to his clients. We are pretty independent minded, sometime we like to go around to look at houses ourselves and other times we wanted BJ to help us out. He was always accommodating and flexible. When we found a house we liked, he helped us negotiate through the hoops and facilitated the successful purchase of the home. We had a few wrinkles crop up in the purchase, and he was always willing to help successfully sort them out. He is selling our current house now and we're happy to refer him to others.

BJ started to help me search and buy my first home in late last December. You can imagine how panic I was at the beginning as a first-time home buyer. BJ explained everything in detail to me with patience, and helped me through the entire process smoothly. It has gone very well. My husband and I have both bought and sold a few houses over the years, so we knew we wanted a really good RE agent. We had worked with agents in the past who weren't as detail oriented as the job really requires. A real estate agent has to manage a lot of details and I always felt confident BJ was on top of everything. He knows a lot about all aspects of the process. <br /> We knew we needed to prepare the house if we wanted a fast & smooth sale, so we got to work a couple months before we even looked for a RE agent. As we got closer to readiness, we found BJ Matson on Angie's List and he came in with great ideas. He works with a Stager, so we met with her and she gave us suggestions on how to finish up all the cleaning, painting, de-cluttering and styling. When the house was photographed - it was really beautiful and we got good feedback from potential buyers and agents. <br /> BJ did a lot of marketing and planning up front and prepared us well for the process. We are in a seller's market, so we had to price it right and then deal with multiple offers. That is actually a little more stressful that it sounded to me at the outset! For the purchase of our new home, BJ represented us in that, too. We go to settlement on both places in a couple more weeks and I really think everything is in place. What a pleasure to be so organized!  <br />

Buying a home for the first time can be a pretty intimidating process.  When I started on my search for a new home I had no idea where to begin or who to talk to.   After meeting with a few agents and getting rather frustrated, I stumbled upon BJ’s name and decided to give him a call.   I knew from our first meeting that I had found the agent for me.   BJ took the time to walk me through all the steps of the home buying process, helped me to set reasonable expectations on what I could afford, and recommended a few great lenders that shared his customer service values……. And that was all at our first meeting!!  For weeks BJ patiently toured all the homes that I wanted to see, was prepared with the details on every house prior to our visit and made notes of all my questions and “must haves” to help narrow the search.   When I finally chose “the one” BJ jumped into high gear and coordinated with the selling agent, lender and a host of others to make sure that I got into my new home.    I do not know how I would have done it without him.   BJ would tell you that he was just doing his job…… but I have worked with other agents and their knowledge, customer service and follow-through pale in comparison to BJ’s – he really goes above and beyond and I value him as a trusted advisor and friend.     BJ Matson made my dream of owning a home a reality – Thanks BJ!!

My wife and I had spent months with other realtors in the area looking for a house, but were unable to find a house that met the wants and needs for home that my wife and I had decided on.  Other realtors spent a couple of hours on a weekend with us and during the week we would see one or two houses.  We would explain what we were looking for but it seemed as though the other realtors were not really paying attention to us.   <br /> ---  BJ is so much better than the other realtors - he definately listened to what we told him about what we were looking for in a home (he took notes) and did not waste our time by showing us houses that he knew we would not be interested in. -- He also spent A LOT of time with us - in just a few days of working with BJ we had seen more houses than we had seen after months of searching with other relators. <br /> - After a few days with BJ we found our dream-home - we had it inspected and were set for purchase soon afterward. <br /> BJ is a true professional, he not only works hard - he is also a pleasure to work with -- he knows homes - especially homes in this area -- he is very friendly and knowledgable. <br />
