Blairs Construction

I had Jakie and his crew come out and poured a 25'x24' pad outside my garage. After the forms were pulled there was more mud than concrete at the front edge of the driveway. Within a few days the edge collapsed, and concrete broke away. There was also blotching discoloration in about an 8' section. Jakie had his crew come back out to look at the issue and agreed it needed to be cut out and re-poured. Then all communication with him went silent. After multiple phone calls and text messages he never returned my calls and has not come back to repair the poor quality work his people did. I would definitely steer clear of using this guy and his company for any projects. He had no problems taking my money. Even after his people said the driveway needed to be repaired, he failed to meet the most basic requirements of his customer. And that is the fix what was wrong and call the customer back! Terrible person to do business with.

I am very picky about home improvement work, and they went above and beyond what I expected. Small crew is only there to complete that day's task and they leave. They don't hang around pointlessly with busy work. They always cleaned up their messes at the end of each day. Pricing was fair and up front. The only (slight) change in price was after an adjustment that I wanted after they started the work. He was careful not to give me an exact "finished by" date due to weather, but the time frame to completion was completely adequate. It rained just about every other day. I would recommend and use them again, no doubt.

Jakie, who I believe is the owner, and his crew poured our concrete on a Wednesday and cut it on a Friday. He charged more than most quotes in the area and the work was very poor. Many high and low spots and a very crooked line. When we called on a Monday to ask about how to fix high spots, he yelled at my husband, hold him he was going to “stomp my husband’s ***”. I tried to call later that night to ask for a receipt for my records (Small business owner, and needed the receipt for taxes) and he immediately got very immature. Started prank calling me, pretending he was someone else on the phone, etc. I could hear a woman in the background laughing at some of his more colorful comments during the calls as well. Completely shocked right now. Please do not hire Blair’s Construction.

Excellent is all I can say. I spent almost 20 years as a construction engineer in the military. I have never seen a crew work together so professionally and in sync. Work was done with each one knowing what to do and how to do without being told. All work was completed in 2 days. They completed the job and cleaned the work area after it was done. Their competency exceeds others in their field. Would definitely hire again. Concrete was poured faster and as well as any I have ever seen or been a part of. Good crew.
