Perfection! Cooper of Blake's knows more about tree work than any others I came across. The best for fast, cost effective, knowledgeable work!

When he contacted me he was able to come right over and gave me a price. After agreeing on price he was able to have his crew come right over due to a rescheduling on another job. Did a great job including clean up.

Cooper and his team did a wonderful job. They were very professional, prompt, and courteous. They completely cleaned up all the branches, trunks, and debris from the trees. When I came home from work, my back yard was immaculate. They are coming back to grind out one of the stumps, but the ground has been so wet, they cannot come yet. The price was great, and Cooper is the kind of man who instills confidence. He is very calm, reassuring and knowledgable. I will certainly call him again for other tree needs in the future.

We were very happy with the professionalism by the owner and his crew. They arrived on time, worked hard and quoted a fair price for the job. I would recommend this company for any tree service needs you have. Will contact again to remove some dead ash trees in green space behind property line.

<p>We had some large, old maples in our yard, some dead and some dying. The biggest one fell over on its own, partly into a neighbor’s yard.  I called a few tree companies; Cooper (owner of Blake’s) was the first to respond. His estimate was reasonable and he had good responses to all my concerns. He clearly was very knowledgeable and experienced; he said he could start the work in a week or so, so I hired him. </p> <p>He was back in a week with an excellent, hardworking helper, & they did an outstanding job, getting everything done quickly and safely. It was fascinating to watch.  I appreciated how thoroughly they cleaned up the yard, since limbs and twigs had been scattered everywhere. </p> <p>When I saw how well they were handling the job, I asked for estimates on the other trees that needed removal; those were reasonable as well, so we had the additional work done. Excellent! Initially called them just to remove the brush we had from tearing out bushes but they ending up removing our large spruce tree as well, all for only $150. Also did all of this in the same day of calling them. Very punctual, very friendly. <br />

Cooper gave me the lowest bid and as I've used him twice before, I knew that he would do good work. They had to drive the cherry picker over my front lawn but they took care to place plywood boards to minimize damage. They cleaned up very nicely after <br /> the job. The whole job was done in about 5 hours and the tree was gone without a trace (except for the stump). <br /> <br />

When I called Blake's I got a voice message to leave all the info about what I needed done and phone number,address etc. With in a few days he had come out while I was at work (which was just fine) and left a written estimate at my front door. I called them back and again left a message that I would like him to do the work and a few times that I could probably be there. I said If he wanted to do it anytime that I was not there that was fine too as long as he was ok with me not being there to pay him. I got home 2 days later and was thrilled that the work was done to my wishes and th written bill he left was a little bit cheaper than the original estimate. I called him on his cell number just to thank him and tell him "the check is in the mail"

I saw Blake's Tree Service at my neighbor's house taking down several very large ash trees that had been killed by emerald ash borer. I asked my neighbor if they had given him a good price and he said that they had. I flagged down one of the workers and asked if they could quote me a price for a few small jobs in my yard. The owner stopped by the next day and quoted me a price that I felt was quite low for the amount of work involved. We shook hands and the crew stopped by the next day to do the work. The work was done very well. The whole crew was courteous. Everything looked great! We were more than satisfied. I just wish there was a rating higher than an A to give the company and crew.

Cooper and his team were friendly, professional, and did a great job both times they were at our house. They were able to take down the very large, old tree without using a crane (which I understand really escalates your cost). No further damage to our house or fence. Hopefully, we won't need to remove any more old trees on our property. But if we do, we would definitely hire Blake's Tree Service again.

This is the third time that we have used Blake's Tree Service. Cooper is very knowledgeable about trees, having inherited the business from his father. My husband and I feel that he is honest and reasonable with his pricing. He is careful about existing plantings and always cleans up the area where he's been working. A friend recently paid $1400 to have 7 trees treated for ash borer - Cooper said he could have done the same job for approx. half that amount, using the same technique. For reasonable prices and an excellent job each time, we can't recommend him enough.

He did a great job! He was fabulous and did excellent work. The tree looks great and the clean-up was good. The price was reasonable for the work that was performed.

He took down 2 silver maples in our yard and removed deadwood from several other trees in our yard. He is insured-we called to make sure his premiums were paid, and they were-and he and his workers were professional and did a great job. Other reports state that he never returns their calls, and it is true, he is a small outfit, and it takes him a while to call back, but I was just persistent and continued to call daily until he returned my call, which only took a few days. The reasonable price was worth the persistence.

They did an absolutely excellent job, and did an excellent clean up as well. They wiped up everything, and they even they stacked the wood for us. We left their sign in the yard because we were so happy with the service and a year later we called them out to top a tree they saw the sign up in our yard still and topped the tree for free. This company gave us a great service, and we would highly recommend using them.

The price was right and the wood that we purchased was of great quality.

I emailed first but did not hear back so I phoned and received a call the next day. Cooper was able to bring the wood that day and stacked it for me, I was pleased with the amount of wood for the price. I was told that it was Ash and seasoned and would burn well. I had a fire that night and the next and the wood did not want to burn, it produced so much smoke that the smoke alarm went off so I had to keep windows open. I thought that maybe the wood was smoking because it could be wet. I waited a week and still the wood does not burn, it just smokes. I am very disappointed because now I have $150 worth of firewood that I can't use. I would only use this company again if they could guarantee that the wood was seasoned.

I called early on a Monday morning and arranged to buy the firewood. They promised to call back and arrange for a time before the weekend for delivery. When they called back, they offered to bring it that afternoon. We had a slight miscommunication on timing and they arrived before I thought they were scheduled to arrive and I wasn't home. They left to take the wood elsewhere but phoned me en route. I asked them to turn around and come back because I could be there in 15 minutes;they did so. They parked in the driveway and, in the rain, carted the wood through a breezeway to the back patio and "stacked" it. The stacking isn't neat but it is stacked. I can't assess the wood quality until I get a chance to burn some, but it looks pretty good, not too green, not too seasoned. The two young men who delivered the wood were personable, efficient, pleasant, despite the communication glitch and having to work in the rain.

The owner came out to give an estimate and he was an unassuming, affable person unlike other arborists. He took one look at the tree and said he could do it for the above price which was $150 less than the lowest bid. I was so impressed with his personality (and the price) that I gave him the job right there and then. Although the job was delayed because of bad weather, he completed the job nicely and left me enough firewood (cut to size) to last the whole winter.

THIS PRICE BEAT EVERYONE ELSE, HANDS DOWN. IF THERE WAS A HIGHER RATING FOR PRICE I WOULD GIVE IT TO THEM. THEY ARE VERY HARD WORKERS, THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY WENT INTO NEIGHBORS YARDS TO PICK UP PIECES THAT HAD FALLEN THERE. THEY MADE SURE THE GROUND WASN'T GOUGED. THEY DID A SUPER JOB.

Mr. Blakeman was a very nice guy, with friendly service, and great firewood at a great price! Most highly recommended, & we will do business with him again!

MR. BLAKEMAN GAVE US A WINDOW OF 9AM-10AM. WHEN I CALLED HIS OFFICE AT 10 TO LET THEM KNOW HE STILL WAS NOT THERE, THEY ASSURED ME THEY WOULD FIND OUT WHY. THEY GOT TO MY HOME AT ABOUT 10:30AM. BESIDES THE LATENESS, ALL WORK WAS DONE IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER WITH GREAT CARE FOR OUR PROPERTY.

BLAKE'S IS A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS. GARY BLAKEMAN OWNED THE BUSINESS AND THEN SOLD IT TO HIS SON COOPER BLAKEMAN. THEY BOTH KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT TREES. THEIR INTEREST LIES IN SAVING AND PRESERVING LARGE TREES WHENEVER THEY CAN. WHEN I HAVE HAD THEM TOP MY TREES, THEY ALWAYS COME BACK LOOKING GREAT. THEY ALSO HAVE REMOVED A NUMBER OF TREES THAT WERE CLOSE TO OUR HOUSE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH PROPERTY DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF THEM MOVING THE TREES. THEY CLEAN UP THEIR MESS AND LEAVE THE AREA THE SAME AS WHEN THEY GOT THERE. COOPER HAS ALSO RESPONDED TO EMERGENCY SITUATIONS, AFTER BEING CALLED, AS A RESULT OF STRONG WINDS.

VERY GOOD WORK, CLEANED UP WELL AFTERWARDS. TOOK AWAY (AND CHIPPED) ALL WOOD. NO DAMAGE TO NEARBY FENCE, OR OTHER PLANTS. PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE. B FOR RESPONSIVENESS, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT TELL US AHEAD OF TIME, WHEN THEY WERE COMING.

GOOD COMMUNICATIONS ABOUT PLANS. ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED, WORKED HARD TO COMPLETE THE JOB, NO DAMAGE TO HOUSE, COURTEOUS. GOOD CLEANUP. EXCELLENT JOB.
