I called Blue Crew Painters to get an estimate. The estimated it for 1735 for painting the house which includes the cost of the paint and labour. I have asked them to paint my condo with Sherwin-Williams paint. To my surprise, they started painting my condo with PPG Paint without informing me about the change. the quality of work is good. Mr Aker is a skillful man. I really like his skill. I would recommend him for his craftsmanship.
But, I have problems with a month after painting, i see many dark translucent spots on my walls. I suspect this may be due to to the quality of the paint. I have tried to contact Aker several times. I get a response but i do not have a solution yet. I wish, for the price they have quoted for a 800Sq Ft condo, i get a better quality paint.

I purchased an Angie's List deal which included 8 hours of drywall repair. The amount of work they did was well worth the price. They were not able to get to everything, but I didn't expect them to. The owner was going out of town to do a large drywall job, so he was not available to come back and finish the work. However, after the first of the year, he referred me to another painter who finished the job.

Overall, I am quite satisfied.

They were the most professional painter we have ever had. The young man who owns company is very experienced and knows what he is talking about. My home looks like something in a magazine for paint products. They are the best. It shows how much they care about their work. I have told several people about the great job they have done
I had not heard from Blue Crew prior to the date scheduled for service (Monday), and emailed them to see what time they would be arriving the next day for the appointment. I received an email response about 7:20 the morning of the service saying they would not be there, they had car trouble and had hoped to get the vehicle repaired over the weekend - but that did not happen. I called Blue Crew and advised that I had taken the day off from work to be there for the appointment. Blue Crew did find a way to arrive at 1:00 p.m. to take down the wallpaper.
The wallpaper removal was okay, but the deal was for 4 hours and they only stayed 3 hours. So, we were shorted an hour's time. Here's a list of the issues, and why I rated them so low:
- They used a lawn sprayer to soak the walls and this created a terrible mess all over the windows, tub, shower, toilet, vanity tops, mirrors and floor. It was a sticky mess everywhere, on everything. They "cleaned" the areas with a dirty sponge, so we had to spend hours after they left cleaning everything.
- Missing after their work: a mirror clip (mirror put back up with only 3 clips, not the 4 that should have been there) and a piece of quarter round trim from the baseboard. Not sure how they managed to displace quarter round taking down wallpaper.
- Everything inside two medicine cabinets was soaked and covered in wallpaper removal solution. Everything had to be removed and dried, or thrown away due to damage. No excuse for this - the medicine cabinets should have been covered so no liquid got inside.
- Lastly, Blue Crew broke our shower head and it can't be used at all anymore. It had a flexible neck and the neck was broken to the extent that the shower head droops, only pointing at the wall of the shower. No way to use it, so we had to replace it.
Sorry to ramble on, but needed to share the story. That's what Angie's List is for.

"Good Day [Member Name Removed] I hopefully your day is going well. I just read the review you gave us and Just say that I'm a little surprised that if you had issues that you didn't give us an opportunity to address the issues before you gave us a review. I had no used that your things got wet and we did cover all of areas u spoke of. . You said that we used we shorted u an hour of time but when we showed you that we couldn't do anything else because of the damage to your walls was so extensive due the the fact you had two layers of wallpaper and the walls weren't properly prep prior to out arrival. I would have addressed any issues u had but I can't fix what I don't know about. I never knew about your shower at all. I would not have a problem fixing any thing that was broken If I had known. Furthermore we asked you if the clean up was ok and you said that you'd take care of the final clean up. The garden sprayers are industry standard though they can be messy they are affective in getting the chemicals to the walls in a timely fashion had we not we could have spent probably double the time to revive the wallpaper which as you know from other Ares in your home was very difficult. I apologize for you not being happy but we could have fix the issues and I'm not opposed to doing what we can to remedy the issues. We have a reputation to uphold and I'm not happy if your not happy. I also was in hopes that we would be coming back to and finish the job. Please call me 704-449-1678 I'd love to discuss your concerns and come up with a plan to fix the issues and alter your review of us. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with you. Not everyones perfect but at least we can allow them an opportunity to fix there mistakes"

This was a great experience from start to finish. Blue Crew responded to my quote request very quickly and gave me a reasonable quote right away. They were able to start in a couple of days, so I met my goal of having the house painted before I moved in. The two-man crew painted the entire house in two days and did a fantastic job. They were on time and did excellent work. I heartily recommend them.

The doors were primed only--they left them just primed! The one painter was slow and sloppy.
"Ms [member name removed] I would like to apologize again for any issues that you may have had during your project. I must admit I'm kind of surprised that you waited so long to inform us of any issues you may have had. As we both know the worker that I had assisting us on your project was a new hire and was up in age. We did our best to see if he was a good fit for our company as you know he was let go at the end of your project. I and other crew members did correct all of his mistakes. I have to admit it wasn't easy telling an elder that we had to let him go because he couldn't keep up with our pace and quality but as they say it's always business never personal. I was under the assumption that you All were satisfied with the results and that you were going to have us come back out to do more work in your home. I was actually looking forward to it so that we would ha e had a chance to show you a better experience. I wish that you could have been honest and expressed your true feelings at the time of the project so that we could have came to mendalble terms I wish you well and I appreciate the opportunity to at least apologize again and work smarter in the future when it comes to screening workers more carefully before turning them loose on projects. Thanks lesson learned. Aker Amun El Bey"

We had a wonderful experience with this painting business. We are selling our house and got a few estimates to have the entire interior painted. Blue Crew came in with the lowest quote at $10,000. A handyman gave me pause when he told me that there is no way our house could be painted for under $15,000. But the reviews for Blue Crew were so good on Angie's List that I decided to go with them and hope for the best. I am SO glad we did! Not only did they do a terrific job, the crew was super friendly and professional. They even worked around some scheduling glitches that were my fault without a word of complaint. Overall an extremely positive experience for a great price.
Blue Crew showed up on time to begin painting of offices and hallways. They were done in the time that they had quoted. The work and cleanup were professional. New paint in restroom on floor, stalls and walls was excellent. The products they used make it easier to clean.

iBlue Crew has very talented painters. When painting the bathroom walls, the painter stayed until after 6 pm to complete the job.

The cabinets were painted by Aker himself. He is very meticulous and actually surprised me when he used a sprayer even on the cabinets themselves to avoid brush marks.

They did a very nice job. It took them a little longer than they thought, but they stuck to their estimate. They did a remarkably good job of cleaning up afterwards too. We actually had them out two different times. They were professional. They got right to work and they were on time. The first job was about $2200. They were fine with their price. They stayed longer than they needed to be.
Response from Blue Crew Painters
"Thank you for your business. We did underestimated the drywall repair needed on your ceilings because how dark it is in your home -- thus requiring a longer stay. From now on we carry a 500W lamp to inspect all surfaces when performing an estimate. We are happy to know that you are pleased with the quality of work and price. We hope to serve you again in the future."
