Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install
Terrible to work with left before job finished

I hired them to do the full remodel of my family room and build a deck. After a year + of delays, partially finished work, excuses, etc. they have now disappeared, their website is down and their phones unanswered. I have paid them for materials that were never delivered. The owners, Michael Navarro and Carl Hoffman, and their partner, Maile Kidd Navarro are not to be trusted. I have now learned that they have numerous law suits pending against them.

Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install
This business is very badly run it's only redeeming quality was the friendly, efficient installation staff. After the job was for the most part finished and paid in full I called and spoke to Mike (owner??) about some issues that needed some small finishing done and he acted as though he did not care. He told me that someone would get back with me, no one ever did. As far as I am concerned he is currently in breach of contract as my job remains unfinished. Truly bad experience. Now I need a reliable contractor for the rest of my jobs.

Cabinets Installation

We paid Blue Era Builders almost two years ago for a custom cabinet that they were to order and install for us (cabinet was to house an under cabinet drawer-style microwave oven). We are not coming up on two years after we wrote them a check and we have neither our cabinet nor our money. After numerous attempts to contact the company, it was explained to us that they in fact did order the cabinet, but somehow it must have been taken. We have heard everything from another cabinet being on its way, to asking us to supply a copy of the cancelled check so that they

Work was very good. Business practices were poor - final bill came in at 26% above their estimate.

Once the job was completed, it's okay but geting there was difficult. If you hire them, make sure each and every detail is expressely stated. For instance, I hired them to put inner office windows in place and they took down walls as discussed but did not insert the windows. Then, giving them benefit of the doubt to correct it, I agreed to a second contract that included the windows, paid express and rush order to meet needed deadline but was still way past deadline. Will not hire again, need more reliability for commercial office.
Response from Blue Era Builders
"I had my operations manager with me when I did the bid and there was no mention of a window we talked about capping off the top of drywall with something inexpensive and having open space. It took longer because we had to order the glass and could only go as fast as they could produce it. We worked diligently through the night to get it done as fast as we could in a timely manner. Thanks!"

Company did not start the job in the time they said they woud or finish whe the date was agreed too. They did not show up some days when they said they would and asked for 60% of the cost up front. The work is okay but, not outstanding my any meas. We put a deposit for the job in August and the job did not get done until Otoer 31st which was three days after our house guest arrived for a week. We were unable to do the finishing touches that we needed to do to fishh the project that we neede to do so the bathroom could be used. We made it very clear when our house guests were coming from the first day we signed the contract.
Response from Blue Era Builders
"I thank you for your feedback we acknowledge your opinion. I would like to mention some facts. We told you from the beginning we were 2-3 weeks out from starting from the date we signed our contract. We signed August 30th we have the contract archived if you would like to see it. September 21st would be the start date. We added 2 addendums to the contract. One plumbing which added a week and one structural beam that rotted. The beam change added 2 weeks. This would take us to the middle of october. It then took 5-10 business days which is standard bringing us to the 31st of october the date we agreed on to finish also documented."

I had a bid for $100 for the gravel by another bidder but never heard back so I asked for more bidders. Blue Era was right there with a bid, We talked he was professional and business like but had a friendly tone of voice. They were right there the day promised. everything worked out well. Good worker and good result. Would use again. Alden Metcalf

Blue Era Builders were very professional in every respect. The job was well done with great attention to detail and at a reasonable cost. They were very knowledgeable and did their homework in solving my drainage problem. The new dirt they brought in was excellent. They were very respectful in listening to my requests. I would highly recommend Blue Era Builders.

Blue Era Builders was very competitive on price. I was most impressed with the communication of the project manager, Michael. He returned calls promptly and kept me in the loop of what they were doing and when.

This is a great company that is worth working with! They were understanding to the HOA rules and gave us several options. The team communicated well during the project. The only problem was with the material that the vendor failed to deliver correctly, but they went over and above to secure a new vendor with a better product with no additional cost. Their crew was excellent and strived to make our project perfect. Do your self a favor, give these folks a try!

Carl and Michael were great to work with as well as the rest of their crew. They delivered quality end products and they even went above and beyond and did some additional things that were not included in our original quote for no additional charge. We had a number of things done including custom kitchen and laundry room cabinets, installation of fireplace and interior doors, as well as a large project to re-landscape our entire backyard. They did a great job, their prices are very reasonable and given that sometimes the scope of our project would change, they were very patient and flexible with me. I would highly recommend them.

Mike and his team at Blue Era Builders were, by far, some of the best contractors I have had the pleasure of working with. Not only did they nail the design concept I had in mind, but came in on budget, and worked with-in my time frame. The whole team at Blue Era Builders are professional, courteous, and keep customer service a forefront in there business model. I look forward to hiring Blue Era Builders again for future projects. Thank you BEB.
