DO NOT HIRE BLUELINE OUTDOORS LANDSCAPING from Villa Rica! In February of 2022, we hired Blueline to do some extensive work in our backyard. We needed a list of things corrected but our number one issue was drainage. We were assured by Jacob Deming that his company could fix the issue. We were told that they would get to us by the end of March, however they did not start until mid May. The only real issue with this was that Jacob never contacted us, we had to keep asking him when they would be out. The work was completed and there were several issues that needed to be corrected before final payment was submitted, such as, they sodded over a downspout, piece of wood in front of a door and a floor mat, did not close off a gap between our fence and house, and did not install gate hardware. Jacob made sure that it was corrected. In September of 2022, 4 months later, I contacted Jacob with photos showing that the drainage issue was not fixed. In fact, it was worse in some areas that were not a problem prior to initial work. He came out on Oct. 11th and agreed that the work was not done properly. I also mention the fact that sod had died due to the muddy conditions and would need to be replaced. He agreed and said it would be a few weeks but that they would come back and fix the problem. So we waited a month and heard nothing from him. I reached out again on Nov. 28, 2022 and inquired as to when they would be out. He told me “in the next couple of weeks”. December came and went with no word and no work. I reached out again on Jan 11, 2023 and was told that they had shut down Dec 20th due to the weather and I understood as it was very cold. However he never contacted us to inform us of this. He said they would be back to work the following week and would come out and get us taken care of. January and February came and went with absolutely NO CONTACT from Jacob. I waited until March 24th as Jan and Feb were wet months. When I did not hear anything from them I decided I was done waiting. I sent an email requesting a refund on the portion of money that we paid for the drainage issue and a portion of the sod quoted because it died due to the drainage issue. I waited a week and got no response. I reached out to Jacob via several texts and finally a voicemail. All of which went ignored. We paid thousands of dollars to Blueline for work that was quoted/contracted to be done and will now have to pay out several more to another company to have the same work done. I am only asking for the money back that was paid for a service NOT RENDERED or at the very least for them to actually show up and do the right thing. But the lack of communication and being completely ignored is both unprofessional and unacceptable. Give your money to a company that values their customers and cares about the quality of the work they produce.

Like you said we did have some issues when first completed because due to some personal issues I was not able to be onsite when the work was completed but I did in fact agree with you of those problems and as you stated I made sure those topics were fixed before I requested any final payment - I will admit and own up to any issues from us, we’re human mistakes will be made 2. You also say we are the only company that bothered to call back and show up, yet you also say we are unprofessional 3. Majority of the area dead is under a deck, we had the extra sod on site when installing so I told you we would put it under there with no promises of it surviving 4. Upon our in person meeting you stated y’all have been walking in that area excessively due to a friend or family (I don’t remember exactly) moving into the basement and I then realized it was a traffic volume issue on the grass killing it more than improper drainage and once the grass is dead there will be mud. 5. As you can see in the rest of all the pictures all the grass seems to be thriving except in the heavily shaded and high traffic area"

It looked great at first but never functioned as it should. Drainage issues were made much worse than they ever were to begin with. We notified Jacob the minute we noticed the issues and were told at the time to just keep an eye on it. We did and the new drainage issues became such an issue that water inundated our crawl space and we had to hire a company to come in and repair that. Even more money spent that was not planned for. We notified him again and he said he would come by and put sand in the low lying area and put seed and hay down to try and get grass to grow where the sod once was that he put in as part of the job. I said what is the point if the true drainage issue is not addressed properly - the same issues will occur again and again. I also informed him of issues we are having with one of the gates he installed. When he was building it I asked him if we would have issues given the slight slope that is on and I was told no. Well that simply is not the case. It makes me sick to know that in order to get all of this fixed we will have to spend the same amount with another company that we did to have it done in the first place. It makes me ill to look at my back yard these days knowing the amount of investment we put in and it is now worse than it was before we hired Blueline Outdoors to do the initial work. We spent $16,000 on this job and you would never be able to tell it with how terrible the backyard looks now. It is very evident where the water flows now - there is no sod or grass to speak of in that area and in parts of the yard where there was grass before they came to do the work it is now gone too because of the drainage now going into those areas. So disheartening. We have reached out to him several times asking him to come look and address the issues but haven’t had much luck other than getting him out here to actually look at it. He told us it must have been something we did to affect the drainage. Had I known that he would affect the drainage issues the way he did - I would have looked elsewhere. Looking at the before and after pics is night and day and a tough lesson to learn for sure.
