(NAME REMOVED) of Bluerock Remodeling started master our bathroom remodel on 6/15/2026. We paid the first payment on the day one of $7600. After the first week we paid another $4560 deposit towards the work. Full price agreed upon was $16,000. A 5% discount was given for cash payments. I went to my bank to get a certified cashier’s check ) which reputable businesses accept as cash). He would not. He stated to get the discount it had to be only cash as he does not like to pay “ all that money in taxes”. I went back to the back to get him the $7600 in cash. He worked with his grandson who he was training to do the work. We learned this pretty quickly that his grandson assistant was NOT very proficient to work alone. (NAME REMOVED) yelled at the assistant ALOT during the process due to his careless mistakes. We expressed our concerned during the initial tiling process as (NAME REMOVED) could not help with developing a tile pattern layout. He said that he did not know what to suggest. He directed me to his Facebook site. I explained to him that I did NOT like the layout on the suggested shower he did. I resorted to AI for assistance. Once we developed a pattern that would look visually pleasing to us, we shared that with him. We made it clear that WE WANT EVERYTHING ( tiles) to be installed geometrically aligned and neat. I showed him another bathroom remodel we did two years prior. As the week continued, we watched our garage tirn into his junk station. We could not park our cars , it was a hazard to walk around all of his junk. He left a large, dirty shop vac in my personal clothes closet. They never cleaned behind themselves. My new wood floors and stairs were constantly dirty dealing with them 5 days per week. Shower issues: I asked him to do the proper Shower pan test; the easy the Schleuter recommends at installation to test for any leaks. I told him this prior to the floor tile going down. The rocks on the shower floor were only laid in a design pattern at that time. He continued to put that off. He waited until the day I left for many appointments and my husband was asleep to put the I set on the shower floor. It was too late to do the proper shower pan test . After four weeks of finally getting them to tile my shower, I pointed out the gaps in the metal trim and tile. I showed him the sharp hazardous edges along the metal trim. I expressed if I accidentally passed by it quickly I could have cut my hand or other body part. I told him that the trim needed to be re- done. I told him the grouting around the base of the time where it meets the floor was sloppy and rushed and needed to be re done. He became defensive and unconcerned towards a customer who gave him over $12,000 of our hard earned money before the shower was even 20% completed. Last week I had to hire a real licensed electrician to go behind (NAME REMOVED) electrical work because I heard a loud spark when he was in my attic. I heard him holler. I asked if he was ok. My husband told him if there was any electrical work or plumbing that he could not do or feel comfortable doing because “ it’s out of your scope/ license” we would get the proper professionals in to do it correctly. Brian always responded with “ I’m your plumber and electrician, you don’t need to hire anyone else. Due to the attic mishap, he obviously cut a wire to something . As he was doing electrical work for the wall sconces in the bathroom, he sawed through my daughter wall closet. We saw sawdust all over some clothes in that closet with cuts through the wall. The new $200 LED mirror and plug in that other bathroom immediately staopped working at the exact same time he was was working up in the attic and my bathroom. He would not take responsibility for to fix it or even look at it. We hired a licensed electrician to come out the next day. This man was mortified at what Rain did. We are out of pocket today to have a licensed plumber cut through drywall in two walls to fix the internal shower “ nipples” that he installed incorrectly. A plumber has to install multiple drains, tub, vanities that he did not do. An electrician has to fix the work he screwed up which damaged drywall as he cut too far through a wall damaging electrical there. Replacing a $200 LED mirror as he damaged the wiring to it as well. We have pay someone to remove the faulty and poor installation of the tile trim with hazardous sharp edges that he refused to fix as well. He represented himself as an electrician and plumber despite us saying on multiple locations,’” do we need to hire an electrician and plumber to do areas that he clearly did not seem confident in doing. He always said no. He did not like that we had an electrician come behind him to check his work as we had zero confidence that he did not know what he was doing at this point. He didn’t like for me to point out the poor installation of the finishing tile trim Or ugly lines of grout around the base of the shower. He takes zero accountability for his mess ups, costing you more money ey for his or grandson’s screw ups. He is not a professional . He does not show “ Quality, Integrity and Reliability “ as his motto says once he took our money. We regret ever letting this man into our home. He is slow, unorganized and takes ZERO accountability for his lack of problem solving major ecectrical and plumbing issues despite our concerns. We had plumbing leaks in the past and urged him to do proper shower pan testing as the manufacturer Schleuter recommended. We called the company with him on the phone for him to hear them state how parts are supposed to be installed . He refused to do the proper shower leak test . He waited until I left for many appointments to lay the set down on the shower floor , which was too late to do the leak test. There are gaps in the tiles and grout where it was not grouted properly either. We have to pay have this work too RE DONE! It’s sickening the grief that this man has caused us and he takes NO Accountability for his mistakes and faulty workmanship! I’m truly disgusted !

They quoted me labor and estimated materials so that I could apply for a VA HISA grant. After approval they scheduled the work to be completed in a timely manner. Brian monitored the work of the team all during the job.

THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND ANSWERED ALL OUR CONCERNS WHICH WERE QUITE A FEW SINCE I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT LAYING TILE. THEY KEPT DISRUPTIONS TO A MINIMUM WHICH WAS HARD WITH A WHOLE HOUSE TILE JOB. BRIAN AND CREW WORKED AROUND THE DISRUPTIONS WITHOUT COMPLAINT WHICH WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THEY WERE NEAT AND CLEANED UP EACH AND EVERY WORKDAY. THEY DID IT RIGHT

I had Tyler and Brian come to remodel an area of my kitchen and install a new backsplash, and I am incredibly satisfied with their work. They took the time to understand my preferences and provided valuable suggestions that enhanced my original vision. The team was punctual, respectful, and maintained a clean work environment, which I greatly appreciated. I look forward to working with Blue Rock Construction again!
