Adam was very professional and was very accommodating. He was very easy to communicate with and quickly responded via text about any questions that came up regarding the project. The only issue we ran into were the subcontractors that did some of the work. The flooring which was the final piece of our project was delayed due to the flooring company not being able to provide the flooring we wanted in a reasonable amount of time. The drywallers were a bit sloppy and didn't keep things as clean as I thought they should. Those 2 things were not Adam's fault so I don't think that should reflect bad on him. The work was completed how I wanted it to be when it was all said and done. I would recommend using Blumenshine construction again for any other projects we have in the future. We may add a 1/2 bathroom in our basement in the future and I would have confidence that Blumenshine construction would be able to provide high quality work.

The owner thought that a sump pump without associated channels to feed the sump would be adequate to resolve our basement foundation leakage problem -- turned out we needed to add channels beneath the floor after noting wall dampness after a light-to-moderate rain.  This was done by another contractor, one specializing in this kind of work.  The 2 guys left by the owner to do the job worked slowly, did an unacceptably sloppy job on the piping to the outdoors (later improved by the company owner).  Also, the they did not clean up the area well (later done well by the owner).  The job was done on a cost per hour basis so the poor use of time (and needing to use drilling when their concrete saw would not start) added cost which I did not dispute. <br /> This is a relatively new enterprise, and I hope we experienced growing pains.  They may be fine in other types of construction, I hope so, but for us were unacceptable.  We wish them well. <br />

Work was done quickly and very professionally. Quality of work is impeccable! <br />

At first I wanted Adam to construct a white vinyl or composite deck. He brought over some samples which were very nice but when I found out that the vinyl deck would be twice the money as a wood deck, I changed my mind. He told me I would be happy with a wood deck and he was right. He built a quality deck in only a couple of days that is sturdy, solid and beautiful. He made two sets of stairs that are also very sturdy with beautiful gates to keep my dog and cats contained. He next put in a dishwasher by cutting out a cabinet. He used the cabinet wood to make moldings around the opening. It fits very nicely. He installed a garbage disposal and thought it should have its own power source from the dishwasher so there would be no blown fuses when I ran both at the same time. After the deck was finished, he put in a fence around the backyard with two gates. He did a fantastic job with the fence. He then cut through the wall in the hall and hollowed out a area to put in a linen closet. He then build the shell of the closet at home, painted it and fit it in to the hole. He finished with the molding and installed a 6 panel door that closed with a magnet. It backs up to another closet which he finished off with a rod and shelf. Overall, I am so pleased with his work. He is a perfectionist and told me to call in a couple of weeks if there was anything at all that I didn't like. He does quality work and I wouldn't think of using anyone else for any future remodeling or new construction. I would also like to add that that his helper, Terry, was great and very knowledgable. <br />

The work was started on time and was done in a very professional manner. The work was done on time and on budget. We were thrilled to have been blessed with such a great contractor who also called after the work was done to make sure we did not have anything we wanted changed or reworked after living with it for a few weeks. I highly recommend Adam for all your contracting work. We have another project coming in the spring and will definitely be using his services again.

He didn't do the job right. I got him off the List and it's been a nightmare. I paid him $77,000 up front. He's completed the roof and the interior of my house. Everything is a mess, it's uneven, not leveled and is crooked. My bathtub is on angle. My porch has holes all over it. He's now saying he cannot do our gutters. I've been injured in my own home. He installed a shelving unit in dry-wall, not even in the studs, and the entire unit fell on top of me. My daughter is now afraid to go into her own closet because of what has happened to me. Everything he's done is unprofessional. Nothing looks right. Everytime I try to complain, he doesn't respond. I gave my savings to have my house remodeled. He keeps putting the blame on other contractors on why things aren't completed. He's now trying to increase the price of the job. I contacted him about my door today, and he said he couldn't do it because he needed more money. I need my door because it's getting cold outside. In the bid, I paid for a water softener and dimmers for my lights, and I don't have that. Everything I've ordered from Menards has been returned 3 times. My home shouldn't look like this.

Owner of the company inspected the property and scope of work. He took measurements and provided a quote.   The initial quote was in error due to a supplier error and we had to correct amend the quote, but company was honest and straightforward about the error.  Work was completed as scheduled.    Outcome looked good.

We've used them for numerous things. Their prices are fabulous and they are always on time. He always throws in extra things for free. He comes up with good ideas that are kind of above and beyond what normal laborers would do. He doesn't try to cheap out in any way. He put up crown molding in the bathroom renovation without us even asking and he didn't charge us for it. He bundles things to do numerous repairs. He is a very, very honest person. We already have him in the works to do additional work.
