We hired Carmen to finish our basement in our house and we gave him just skeleton ideas of what we wanted. I'm glad we let him run with it because we couldn't be happier. Carmen is incredibly professional, talented and creative. I think what's not often talked about with contractors is how they treat their clients and Carmen is the most personable guy we've ever worked with. He was always cognizant of us working from home and was always accessible for questions both before, during and now after the job. We look forward to him doing our master bath next. We wouldn't hire anyone else to do kitchen, bath or basement work. Can't say much other than the completed job is above and beyond what we expected!

When we asked all our friends/family/coworkers for a good contractor recommendation all we heard were horror stories. But thank god for Angies List and Carmen! We got a few estimates for our job before hiring Carmen, but Carmen stood out as the most detail oriented and attentive contractor we met with by far. His quote wasn’t the *lowest* estimate we got, but it was definitely the best justified based on the time and attention he gave us in reviewing all aspects of our job and answering all our questions. His attention to detail and genuine care for the quality of work he does carried through our entire renovation. From the temporary shower he built in our basement (to use while our only bathroom was under construction) to the perfectly aligned tile in our shower enclosure - everything was expertly planned and executed. Carmen was great about communicating next steps as the project progressed and we felt confident about his work during the whole process. On top of being great craftsmen, Carmen (and his helper Ryan) are just all around friendly guys that were a pleasure to have in our home for a few weeks. We’re so happy we found Carmen and now we finally have a great contractor to refer to others!!

It had electrical and cold air return that need rerouted and he did an excellent job. His price was fair and work was quality. Bathroom Remodel

After obtaining quotes from several contractors, we selected BNQ to finish our 1800SQFT basement and put in a bathroom around a roughed in full bath. The team was punctual, professional and left the job site clean every day. The work was done on schedule, and as issues were uncovered (as any project has), they were communicated to us and we worked together to come up with any plan forward. Having used other contractors in the past, I couldn't be happier with BNQ's quality, responsiveness and overall quality of the job.

We are so glad that we agreed the contract with the BNQ. The whole process was smooth, professional, and transparent. Personally, I like things to be done in a well-organized and transparent way. Carmen was very knowledgeable about what he was doing and made reasonable plans before the job got started. On the arranged date, he and his assistant Ryan arrived on time and very patiently listened to our concerns and plan of changes. They transformed our old closet into a beautiful walking in shower with great functionality. The other project in the kitchen was a little tricky because the original vent opening in the wall. Carmen was very flexible about our design. He took care of the details and found a good solution for the challenging work. We appreciate his commitment to his professional work. Thanks to Carmen and Ryan, now we have a modern looking kitchen with a very efficient wall mounted hood. Moreover, the price is fair. I had a couple of quotes for our projects. BNQ price range is in the middle. However, the result is wonderful and it is totally worth the money. I would highly recommend BNQ to our friends and family!

From the beginning of our kitchen reno project Carmen was very responsive and patient as we made our way through determining the right contractor, and we are so glad that we made the choice to work with BNQ. Carmen was able to help us to transform our galley kitchen circa 1950/1960s into a beautiful modern kitchen with great functionality. We can actually have more than one person cooking dinner or even just in the kitchen while someone else is cooking! Throughout the entire project if there were any changes to the plan that need to be made, or questions Carmen was extremely responsive and always came to us before pursuing a different plan of action in the renovation. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness throughout the entire renovation. At the end of every day the construction area was swept and all tools/supplies where put away or organized within the work space. We decided after the kitchen was done to extend our tile into the entry of the home from the kitchen. Carmen not only was extremely flexible to get it done quickly, but also stood by the work of BNQ to the point of offering to redo the tile in entry because he personally was not satisfied with the outcome. For us this speaks to his commitment to professionalism and quality of work, because of that we would have no hesitation in hiring BNQ to do additional projects in the future or in recommending him to friends and family.

Couldn't have more more pleased with the process and result. Carmen provided his estimate for the work in June. Work started in mid-September which was fine as it gave me time to select and purchase the tile, toilet, vanity, towel bars as well as plumbing and light fixtures. The renovation took about 2 and 1/2 weeks. The line of communication was positive and transparent....Carmen answered questions, showed up when scheduled, and cleaned up thoroughly when leaving for the day as well as when the job was complete. I appreciate the hard work and craftsmanship Carmen and his assistant Ryan provided on my new bathroom. Highly recommend!

The bathroom looks great and everything works well. Carmen was super nice, timely and professional. Even the jerk dog liked him. He got everything done by when he said it would be done and kept the workspace clean while he was working.

We obtained 3 quotes for the work. 2 quotes were all in (materials, fixtures, labor, etc) at $35K and $45K. Our quote from Carmen was for about 18.5K to cover labor and building materials. We decided to go with Carmen because we liked him and we thought that we could pick out fixtures to finish the project for much less than the other quotes we received. The end result of the project is fantastic and we're very pleased with Carmen's craftsmanship. In addition to a great finished product, Carmen was very professional, easy to communicate with and accessible. These latter points are what pleasantly surprised me about working with Carmen. We expected a good end product, but we didn't expect it to be achieved so easily and so close to the quote we received. For instance, when we had questions about the project, we would text, email or call Carmen and he would return our calls within about 24 hrs. When unexpected issues came up, as they always do in any project, Carmen charged us reasonable fees to address them. For instance, during the demo, we discovered that a previous owner had walled off a shower. Carmen stopped demolishing the space and asked us if we wanted to open up the area fully. When we said yes, he spent about 1-2 hours demolishing this extra space and charged his his hourly rate (about $50/hr). Everything was very transparent. During our bathroom remodel, we also decided to have Carmen repair our bedroom walls, which had some water damage. Carmen subbed out some of this work (like drywall). End result was great, price was reasonable and again, Carmen was just easy to work with. The last thing that I think is notable about working with Carmen is his attention to cleanliness. When we started this project, I was dreading the inevitable construction dust, but that was never an issue with Carmen. Some of the drywall subs for our bedroom left a fair bit of dust, but Carmen was always very clean. We didn't get construction dust throughout the house. He did a great job of sealing off the construction area every day to prevent the dust from going everywhere. We recommend Carmen without reservation and we'd use him again. As he was doing our bathroom/bedroom, he also completed some odd jobs for us, all of which were easy for Carmen and resulted in nice finished products.

Love the bathroom renovation! The floor and shower tile turned out beautifully, and we especially loved the recessed shower shelves he made. Carmen was professional, responsive and did quality work. He made design suggestions along the way and communicated the cost of the change orders. He was committed to finishing the job but wasn't rushing or cutting corners. He was respectful of our house and cleaned the area every night. We would certainly recommend him to our friends.

Carmen was fabulous! Consistently excellent across all phases of the project, starting with initial consultation. He was more personable and helpful than the competition and his bid beat several other contractors by far. Then when it came time to actually do the work, he was iron-clad reliable. When the linen closet did not arrive on time - no problem - Carmen agreed to come back 3 months later to install it. The bathroom is beautiful and function. We will definitely call him for future projects and refer our friends to him.

It turned out well. He was very prompt with coming out to give the quote and getting back to us with questions. The beadboard was cut very well and looks very professional. The shower door looks and works much better than our old one that leaked. The vanity also looks much better. He is very knowledgeable about bathrooms and upgrades and answered our questions and concerns very well. We are happy with our small bathroom upgrade.

Outstanding! We have been extremely pleased. Carmen completely gutted an old bathroom and rebuilt the whole room. The work was done efficiently, timely, and with very good craftsmanship. Carmen was very helpful and knowledgeable  during the design process. The bathroom was done impeccably: it looks and works beautifully!  Additionally, the work was done in a condo and Carmen was very careful with the regulations and the tidiness of the common areas.  When an unexpected phone line was found in a wall, Carmen was ready to reroute it with no damage. We hired BNQ to gut and redo our bathroom.  Carmen listened to what we wanted and did an excellent job of transforming the space.  We are so pleased with the workmanship and the end result.  Carmen and his team were there each day as scheduled, cleaned up each day before they left, discussed changes with us so there were no surprises and were great to work with.  We would highly recommend BNQ.  <br />

Carmen did an excellent job on our kitchen remodel.  We didn't have the easiest kitchen to work with, but he was great every step of the way.  We could tell upon meeting him that he would be easy to work with and he had good ideas on a couple of the issues that were weren't sure how to handle in regards to design.   We had some issues from the cabinet company that we purchased from (unrelated to BNQ) and the layout from them had a very poor design.  Carmen worked with us to fix the issues that the cabinet company overlooked.  If there was one thing we could change it would be that we would definitely go back and listen to him on his recommendations of cabinet companies.  He knows what he is talking about. <br /> Carmen is very professional and experienced in his craft.  He answered all of the questions that we had about the electrical, plumbing and overall project.  More importantly, he listened to our concerns and requests of even the smallest details and completed them.   We could tell that he really cared about the quality of work being done and making sure the work was done right.  We added some additional work to the original proposal, which added to the original estimate.  Otherwise, the cost came out exactly as expected.  I would highly recommend BNQ to anyone looking for an experienced contractor and we will definitely use BNQ again for any additional work that we might need in the future. <br />

Carmen was very professional and responsive. He listened to our idea, suggested improvements and did a wonderful job. They did the job in two days because they knew we had to leave town for Thanksgiving. They were very considerate of our time and left things as clean as possible. I was very worried about removing the load bering wall, but Carmen made sure I was comfortable with the strength of the structure. There was quite a bit of dust after they left, but it was still a lot cleaner than I expected it to be. The constructions looks very sturdy and we will definitely use BNQ services for future projects. <br />
