They were all terrific, especially in dealing with delays from my insurance company. Joe worked with me on fixing my roof while I was able to stay on my winter escape vacation.

Joe and his crew replaced my old roof and put vinyl siding on my house. Joe worked with me on what colors would work better for my style house. When both jobs were down the house looked beautiful I still get complements. They were clean very professional I wish I had more work for them to do. Can’t say anything bad about bob Rogers company

Very well. Timing got off track with heavy rains, extreme temperature, a death in owner’s family, and a bit of miscommunication, but each of these was understandable. Craftsmanship and dedication to details more than made up! All employees were hard working, aimed to please, and very respectful. We happily recommend their work.

August 2015 Follow up:
Representative did call in June to follow up with leak issue. Reported that company did come out and perform additional sealing. Have not seen any evidence of leaks so far. Gutter that Rogers Team identified and needing to be repaired from ice dam damage was not repaired despite request to do so. Contacted another Angie's List vendor - Robert Roofing - who was going to build a cricket at the chimney to prevent water entry and also repair the gutter, he too never returned. Gutter section still twisted and non-functional. Guess I need to stop entrusting companies with Bob and Robert in the name. :) Both well respected by Angie's members but not by me.

This is an extended review:
Absolutely perfect to start. Prompt, professional, quality materials, and installation. Very careful with property and clean up. Problem has been with post-sale, post-installation follow up.
A leak somewhere along my brick chimney at the roofline initiated my call to Bob Rogers for repair. Bob determined the shingles were in bad shape and the entire roof required replacement. (We purchased house as new construction and it was approximately 14 years old at the time of Bob's inspection). We contracted with Bob Rogers for entire roof replacement with premium shingles, extended (6' or 9") water/ice shield protection along all leading edges, advanced ridge venting with air intake all along (behind) gutters. New gutters with gutter helmets were also installed.
Shortly after job completion a leak (following a major rain storm) once again appeared at the same location that initiated my original call to Bob Rogers. His team returned to check it out. Some additional flashing and sealing was undertaken. A short time after that, the ceiling sheet rock wetted again in the same location during another major rain storm. Bob's team returned 2-3 more times, but were never able to recreate or stop the leak. It is sporadic - only happens 1-2x per year with major storms. On most occasions it dried by the time his team arrived. His team attempted to recreate the leak by spraying the area with hose water, but they were unsuccessful.
The gutter helmet was a major mistake. Many trees (including pines) around the house filled the gutters. Bob Rogers Roofing does not perform gutter cleaning services. Despite searching, no gutter company's would clean gutters with gutter helmets installed. Bob assured me gutter helmets were the solution to clogged gutters high up on the rear of my house. In reality gutter helmets created FAR more problems than they solved. Bob offered no assistance.
Bob's scheduler noted my calls for continued follow up after the first 4-5 on site efforts to address the leaking problem, but no one called or followed up after that. All subsequent calls have been ignored. I've lived with the minor wetness, staining 1-2x per year for approximately 10 years. It takes a very major storm to wet the joint between ceiling and wall, but this year with all of the snow pack, the leak returned on two consecutive days when temperatures climbed enough to start melting. I called (3/09/15) and left a message with Bob Roger's messaging service. As in the past, my call has not been returned.
I thought the work was fantastic initially, but I cannot recommend Bob Rogers in good faith after his company's poor follow up. Use Bob Rogers Roofing at your own risk. I've given up and am moving on to another, hopefully more reliable, roofer.

He came when he said he would, his crew was quick and did a great job of cleaning up after they finished. I got 3 estimates; his was the middle one (the lowest one had poor marks with the Better Business Bureau), the highest one was a good deal more. Have not had a problem with the roof since then.
It was great! Bob was prompt, did a thorough inspection of the roof before starting to work, and did an excellent job with the installation. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and he was patient with my husband who likes to be deeply involved with projects on our house. He responded quickly to some leak issues as well.

Terrific job. Pretty clean. Could have protected the plants around the house a bit better when ripping off old roof. They arrived when scheduled and finished on time. No leaks, and it has been over 5 years. Cut a ridge vent and shingled the vent from end to end of house.
I had a water leak that was coming in behind the bathroom wall. I suspect that it could be coming from the roof and called Bob to take a look. He determined that both the porch roof and the roof on the back dormer should be replaced to be sure that the leak source is addressed. Bob gave a fair price and also gave good advice about window replacement (another job I will need to do), even though he does not do this work and had nothing to gain, which was much appreciated. The crew arrived on time and went to great lengths to ensure that debris from the old roof was contained and cleaned up. I also needed gutters installed in the back of the house because the previous owners removed them, probably because they could not figure out where to route the downspouts after installing a new deck. Bob's crew did a great job in installing these gutters and downspouts neatly, including cutting through the deck and crawling underneath to properly locate the downspout bottom away from the house. Everything went very well and the leak has not returned. I have received several compliments on the roof since installation from other contractors on other jobs.
Last November I had a large amount of snow fall and there was damage done to my roof. I contacted the company to follow up since I had a gaurantee on my roof. I had a hard time getting ahold of them and getting them to come out to look at my roof. Finally they came out and looked at it and said they would be back or call in the next week. I never heard back from them.
Response from Bob Rogers Roofing
"Our recording indicate your call was placed On October 25, 2011 regarding an ice dam problem. An appointment was made with BOB for November 3, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Bob appraised the situation and quoted an amount for proposed work to be done. I can find no record of any signed estimate being given to us or any subsequent phone calls from you. We do apologize for any miscommunication. Sincerely, Susan Johnston Office Manager, Bob Rogers Roofing"

Everything was installed without a problem. The workers were very considerate and cleaned up well every day. (We found just a few stray nails around the yard afterward.) The work took about 2.5 days. They started on a Saturday and asked permission to also work Sunday to make up lost days due to weather. Because of their fine reputation and what seemed like a reasonable price, we did not get other estimates, so I gave a "B" for price but don't really have a comparison. The final cost was exactly what the estimate was, except for the roof boards that needed replacing at our request. They showed up on time in the morning and worked diligently all day. The foreman on the job (I believe his name was Todd, if I remember correctly), was very pleasant and accommodating to work with. The roof looks great and we would certainly recommend them.

Bob came out to provide the initial assessment, and it was clear that he knew his business and was a real professional. I prefer to work with highly recommended operators who have integrity in their operations. Bob is one of the few with current insurance certification and also certification in WC specific to roofing (which is more expensive Workers Compensation coverage). We discussed a number of options. Bob was very good about answering follow-up questions in detail. We decided to go with him though he was the more expensive quote by a few hundred dollars. We knew upfront it would be several months (we contracted in June and were told plan on August or September as potential install dates. Angie's List and CR had both told us to expect long waits for top providers, so this was not an issue). To make sure we got the color we wanted, Bob loaned us several sample boards which I placed around the outside of the house and even on the roof at different times of day to get an impression of the color. He had us keep them until the install. October 12 wound up being the date. The crew came out first thing, stripped the roof by noon and completed the whole job by 4 pm including assessing and repairing our front gutter (we had an option to replace it for a few hundred dollars but this was not needed). The grounds were well cleaned and the work was very well done. The roof has performed well since. Two small items were quite a few fasteners I later found in the gutters and having to reconnect a bathroom exhaust fan which had been disconnected when they replaced the external fan housing. However, this was a small time investment. We've had numerous compliments from neighbors on the finished appearance and the efficient service. We received the warranty certification from Certainteed about 45 days after installation. Overall I would have to say I was very pleased with Bob Rogers Roofing and would recommend them without reservation.

The experience was fine. The quote was not the cheapest, but was not nearly the most expensive. They came out to the house when I was not there, and sent me the quote electronically.

The owner of the company is really professional and knows his work very well. He has been in business for many years. He explains things really well, like the advantages and the disadvantages of the way I was doing it. I had a leak where the sunroom roof connects the house, after he did his work. So, he came out within 2 days of notice and fixed it without any questions. Fortunately the weather was very clear on that day. He did the work quickly and accurately. He did a good job and the price was reasonable too. Some of the roofing company guys try to sell you on stripping the roof completely rather than doing one layer of shingles. However, he didn’t try to sell me more than what I wanted. He was very clear about how the warranty works and also did a recommendation on the product I selected. I don’t try to deal with someone based on price. He was very proud of his work and his company. He was pretty honest about the challenges of the roofing business and also did quality work. A part in the middle of the roof was not laid down the way it should have been and he recognized that. He wasn’t sure if he had done that or the previous people had done that, but he fixed it right away. So, I was happy with that. The price was quite reasonable in comparison to the other people that I had spoken to. The price that I paid also included putting up some siding. Normally, he doesn’t do siding, but still did that. So I felt that the amount that I paid was fine. It is a contemporary house with a peaked roof. I asked him if he could fix the roof when he was up there and he readily agreed to do the work.

Bob Rogers came out quickly and gave an estimate. The price was lower than some, but more than others. But I had heard very good things about him, so I went with him. There was a several month delay in the work being performed due to their large backlog of work. But they were upfront about this, and I was OK with it. The work was completed in two days, by a very professional crew. The new roof looks great, and so far, no more leaks!

Great work. Our contractor was impressed. He uses his own employees, and doesn't subcontract. He wasn't the most expensive nor was he the cheapest, but his price was fair especially given the 50 year shingles and gutter system we wanted. He is authorized for all 3 major brands (GAF, Elk, Certainteed). Unlike other roofers, the ridge lines up perfectly with the edge. This isn't something you notice, but it makes the overall job look much cleaner (walk around your neighborhood) look. So people notice and comment on the roof. They don't know why it looks like a great job, but they can tell it is. Job took two days, and at the end of each day, you didn't see debris, nails, etc.
