Bogart's Carpet & Floor Covering is a complete design center proudly serving our valued customers in home design. Located in Ledgewood, NJ, we carry carpet, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl flooring. Our installers are residential certified and our owner started as a flooring installer many years ago. We've been family owned and operated for over 40 years, so stop by our showroom and let us help you find just what you're looking for! Our certified installers install everything WE sell. We do not install member supplied flooring. We warranty our materials installed by our certified installers.

Could not be more happy or satisfied. Bogarts offered many choices for our new flooring ideas. Settled on some beautiful luxury vinyl and a bit of carpeting for stairs. Price was fair and they worked with us to schedule comfortably during some COVID times. The installation team did a fantastic job removing old carpeting and baseboards. New flooring and carpeting was meticulously installed by true professionals. Finished with beautiful new baseboards to complete the amazing improvement to our home.

The carpet looks good. The installers did a good job. They also cut the bottom of some doors due to the carpet rubbing on the bottom of the door. This cost extra and was paid directly to the installers. Both Bogart Carpet and the installers were easy to work with. They kept commitments on scheduling.

GREAT! Easy to work with. Matt and Michael were excellent and easy to get along with. Very neat, clean, and professional. They will get my business again. You won't be sorry with this company. The installers would not put the floor down because they noticed a possible water issue, giving me the opportunity to get someone in here to fix that first. A++++++ for recognizing the problem and alerting me in lieu of just slapping down a floor. Came a week later and got the job done! No complaints. Both store owner and son are involved and very nice!

Two employees arrived on time and were very polite. The old carpet was cut up and removed in sections. After the new carpet was installed, the room was vacuumed. It really looks great and I am satisfied with the work performed. Dave Bogarts was very professional and assisted us with our carpet decision. He also came to take the measurements of the room. We were allowed to take two color samples home to enable us to decide between two green colors (light and medium). We choose the medium green (much richer color). <br />

Update: The owner called me and apologized profusely, which was very much appreciated. He also said he would refund the $40 for binding the 2 leftover mats. In addition, he said that he would be there for us if there were any other problems. Again, much appreciated. Can't ask any more than that. <br /> <br /> Price was OK, but definitely not a bargain. <br /> The carpet was promised to be installed on May 9th at 9 AM. We moved all the furniture out of the room and then the phone rang. We were told that the carpet had not come in and were rescheduled for the following week. We had to put everything back. The next week we had to remove all the furniture once again. This time they showed up on time with the carpet and it was installed. It took almost 5 hours, but they did a nice job. <br /> One complaint is that the stretcher made quite a significant hole in one place. The installer knew how to cover it up pretty well. It is still there, but since the hole is now located under a sofa, there should not be a problem. However, there is a hole in the carpet! The other thing is that I had 2 left over pieces bound. One 3 x 5 and one 2 x4. I was charged $40, which I thought was a bit on the high side considering the scheduling problem and the fact that I had already spent almost $3,000.00.

Bogart's Carpet worked well for us. Dave let us take our time and look at many different carpets. he was very helpful and friendly. <br /> The installers arrived on time and worked until the job was complete. Working without taking a break. <br /> The only (-) was the installers worked us for another ($50.00 paid to them) to move a china closet 1/2 way across the room so they could get the carpet down. I didn't feel that was right. We (me included) slid the china Closet 10 to 12 ft. <br /> But we were going to give them a tip anyway so it worked out. <br />

"I am very happy that [member name removed] and his wife had a good experience at our store we work very hard to make sure that this happens as far as the wall unit we discussed in length about leaving that unit against the wall and cutting around because [member name removed] had estimates of over $1000 to move this unit I told him that we would leave it there and cut around it however [member name removed] on the Painter move the unit out from the wall we had no choice but to move this unit and only charge $50 to move this it was written on his receipt that we are going to cut around wall unit or charge direct to move it I hope this clarifies everything thank you"

I could have spent less at a big box retailer, but chose to work with David because he cared. From bid to installation, the process went very smoothly. They were good. It's for the carpet pads. It goes underneath the carpet. I have some throw rugs and I gave them the sizes. They picked out the underlayment and they cut it to the size. I was satisfied. They were prompt and on time.

Stellar quality, very professional, good responsiveness and Dave Bogart is a very nice guy and easy to deal with. Pricing is good but not cheap, but this is justified by quality. He first got the carpet job for 2nd floor and did such a good job that he was our first choice when we installed hardwood flooring in the 1st floor even though we had a cheaper quotes. Great service and Dave was helpful when we had a water damage and had to redo small portion of hardwood floor. I would not hesitate to do business with Dave again. <br />

Based on Angie's List, I called for an appointment to have a salesperson check the work to be done. The salesperson arrived, as scheduled, 5 days later. On-site cost estimate for replacing the carpet on a Saturday was $1700. Salesperson took the information back to the office. He called later to set a time to drop-off samples but stated that his original estimate was off and that it would be $1900. This was disappointing, but a week had passed and I needed to get this carpet replaced. This is commercial situation and the old one needed to be gone ASAP. As I had not changed my carpet choice since the onsite estimate was made, I wasn't sure why there had been a mistake. Given the situation, however, for the $200 I decided to go ahead. Installers were pleasant when on site during the installation, but didn't do even a broom clean-up at the end. Also, they neglected to secure the carpet to the floor in an out-of-sight area. The carpet runs under a door into an electrical closet and was left ragged and not secured with one of those end-of-carpet tack-down things. Because a measurement wasn't taken, the coping around the wall was the wrong size. They plan, however, to return to correct that tomorrow by taking carpet remnants, binding them, and using them as coping. Should be okay. The actual charge against the credit card was $2,113, not $1,700 or $1,900. Overall, I can't recommend them and will not have them back for other work. UPDATE: I cannot agree with the company's response. I walked the site with the company representative, who did his own measurements. The covered columns may or may not have been explicitly discussed, but they were covered with the old carpet and are in the middle of the area being re-done.

"The original estimate was given based on customers measurements. When actual measurements were done room was larger and customer added poles. Price was given before order was placed. There were no surprises. The closet was a concern and was fixed ASAP. We like to address all concerns ASAP and welcome feedback so we may better sevice our customer."

Priced carpet at Home Depot and Lowe's. Bogart's - a small locally owned business - was able to offer a competitive price. Maybe not as broad a selection, but I've used them before and knew they would do a good job. Were able to come out and measure and install the carpet within a very short time-frame. I was totally satisfied with their service and would recommend Bogart's to anyone. Would use them again.
