About us

I am an owner/operated, licensed remodeling company who always believed that I am a 'want-to-be artist' that happens to be a contractor. I enjoy every aspect of my job & I think it shows in my work. I bring in helpers when I need them, but in most cases, the project is completed by myself. I only take on one job at a time, allowing enough time to complete the project at hand, have an easy going approach, and only expect payment at the completion of the job. My intention is to be prompt, courteous, & reliable and take pride in every project that I do. Most of my projects are in the Bethlehem, Allentown, & the Lehigh Valley.

PRO: Mark is very punctual and will show up each day to get the job done. He did a phenomenal job on the floor tiles. Comes with you to the store to offer ideas about tiling, color, lighting etc. CON: The decorative titles were not smoothly put in place so they look puckered a bit. However, we are satisfied with the job done and the payment.

This was the third time I used Mark and he did a fantastic job. The bathroom was a challenge because the space was awkward but needed a shower added. Not only did he find a solution, but it looks great and really improved the value of the property. He did work throughout the house and even redid his work on the front porch railing after a brief conversation about making it look better -- the way he redid the work went above and beyond what I expected and really made everything look so much better. I keep going back to Mark for his work and highly recommend.

Mark did a great job with my bathroom! Showed a picture of what I was interested in, and was done exactly they way I wanted. Great communication, kept it clean. Job was done in the time I was told. Well done! I love it. Would definitely recommend and I would hire again if I need more work done. Thank you!

Mark did a EXCELLENT job on our kitchen remodel. Our kitchen was old and very dated. He opened up a wall between kitchen and dining room and turned it into open concept. AWESOME results. Took everything down to the studs and turned into a BEAUTIFUL kitchen. We are very pleased with the results. His professionalism was excellent and the job was done on time. He also fixed my downstairs bathroom that another contractor messed up. He will be back soon to do our upstairs bathroom. Really looking forward to that. Thanks Mark for the wonderful job you've done.

To be honest , Mark is the BEST contractor we’ve ever hired. He told us he could make our bathroom look like a “spa” and he did just that . Mark and his assistant Dave removed the tub and installed a walk in shower that is beautiful. The best part it was finished in only a week and half as promised. LOVE IT !!!!!! Thank You .

we hired Mark in January 2018 for a bathroom remodel and that came out beautifully. Please see my review from a January where he stated it was a pleasure working with us. We asked if he had time to do more work upstairs. He said he could start at the end of February. Then it was the beginning of March, then the end of March then April. Then not until he got back from his 4 moth vacation in Canada. Since I’ve seen other reviews of work he completed in June I know he was home and working. He said the beginning of October then October 11 then October 16 it was finally started. It was a nightmare from the beginning. He cut ALL OF THE WOOD for the floor and the doorways INSIDE the house. We had sawdust 1/2 thick everywhere. Everything had to be commercially cleaned and all of our clothing laundered or dry cleaned. He fought with us every time we mentioned something didn’t look right. I heard water running in the bathtub and sneaked upstairs to find His assistant Dave washing out paintbrushes in my new bathtub. Green paint everywhere. Mark denied it happened even though I was standing right behind him watching him do it. .Then he painted over satin finish wainscot paneling. Of course no prep work was done and the paint wiped right off. We thought he would remove the panelling and put up new drywall. Of course He blamed us and said in the planning stage we should have made clearer what we wanted. Absolutely ridiculous. As a licensed contractor, he should have known how best to get the desired look. He converted our 2 back bedrooms into his workspaces AFTER the new hardwood flooring was installed (See picture below). What a horrible mess he made in those rooms. He picked up the wrong wood and asked if he could have my credit card to go back and get the right stuff. I gave it to him. You can see on the picture of the receipt below, he took it upon himself to buy a utility knife ON MY CREDIT CARD without my permission and never told me. I didn’t look at the receipt until the work was done because I trusted him. The wood he picked up the 2nd time was $400 more than what we had picked out. He bought too many cases and 2 had to be returned. Then we asked him 3 times to please return the excess wood so we could get a refund ($180 ) It was like talking to the wall. We finally did it ourselves. He fought with us every step of the way. The wood flooring was done by a subcontractor From a company called Eagle. Can’t seem to find them anywhere in the phone book. There are large spaces between the planks and the floor is uneven and creaks everywhere when you walk on it. Below are pictures of the shoddy work we received for a total of $12,900. To have everything redone properly will be of considerable cost to us. Beware. Mark Bond is a charmer. He draws you in then wipes out your bank account. He hasn’t offered to fix anything so it will be our decision who next to hire so our house can look beautiful instead of like a slum.

Mark said it would take three weeks and that is exactly how long it took to redo the kitchen. We love everything about it. He was very easy to work with, he worked with us on everything. Easy to talk to and would also there when he said he would be.

Very talented, respectful to me and his workers. I feel I received great service and value for the price of this project. Once a start date was determined, Mark and his assistants came on those days. When I asked for suggestions, Mark gave input. 2 baths remodeled. I purchased vanities/toilets/faucets/tile/etc on my own: Master bath, demo fiberglass tub and replaced with tile shower. Tiled floor, installed new toilet and vanity, hung mirror & medicine cabinet. Hall bath, demo fibroglass tub, replaced tub with tile to ceiling, tiled floor, installed new toilet and vanity, hung mirror & medicine cabinet. I am completely satisfied with Mark's workmanship and would definitely hire for future projects. I gave a referral to my friend and she used Mark to tile her shower, hang shower doors and install new vanity top. She too was completely satisfied.

The project went well. Mark Bond is a very knowledgeable and skillful craftsman and problem solver. He also is a cheerful "People Person" who cares for his clients and their projects. The project site was always left clean at the end of the day. His assistant was a hard worker.

Mark is an AMAZING contractor, not only as a professional but a really nice personable guy. He arrived every day in a cheerful mood, and did an absolutely outstanding job remodeling my condo master bathroom at a very fair price, and I am totally thrilled with the outcome. He also installed a bathroom fan that other contractors said could not be done or didn't want to take the time to figure out how to do it. Kudos to Mark on that accomplishment!! He made sure I was happy with everything that was done and if I made a change, was more than gracious to make that change, something I have not found with other contractors I have hired in the past. He finished the job within the time period promised and wasn't charged one cent more than his estimate; in fact he purchased things that I needed along the way and didn't even want payment for those items. I could not end this review without mentioning his helper, Dave, who accompanied him every day. He was a very polite, respectful young man and even took the time to do something for me that wasn't even related to the remodeling project. I highly recommend Mark for any type of remodeling and would definitely use him again in the future if and when the need arises. Thank you so much Mark for a job well done! You are the BEST!!

Mark did an excellent job on the remodel. The house was built in 1820, which presents all sorts of challenges to any remodeling work; Mark managed all the challenges with creativity and experience. He was always pleasant, even when asked to repaint after we didn’t like the color we picked. (He even suggested the perfect color for the area.) The work areas were kept clean, and he always showed up when he said he would and was responsive to texts and phone calls. We liked the work so much that we’re hiring him to do our kitchen remodel in the fall.

Mark is AWESOME. He discussed my projects with me, promptly emailed me quotes for services (not estimates but quotes that he honored), arrived when discussed, finished the jobs timely and is an utter professional. He also finished our shower that another contractor abandoned, helping me pick out the shower surround and finished it beautifully. I will continue to hire him for any work we need or want done on our house.

Mark was prompt, courteous and reasonably priced. We hadn’t planned on a complete gutting and total renovation. But once it was completed we were beyond amazed with the end result. We said we were looking for the “wow” factor and he gave us that and so much more. He always puts the customers needs above his own. He arrived promptly from the first visit to the last. We are now looking for him to complete more projects in our house. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for high quality work and reasonable prices. Looking forward to our next project

We honestly couldn't be happier with the work Mark and crew completed. He delivered on our vision and more. Mark was not only super personable, but was with us every step of the way, assisting us with any and all decisions we needed to make. He was at our home 5 days a week from morning until mid afternoon (late afternoon some days) completing the work himself with the help of one additional person and an electrician. The work was done fast, but with done with true workmanship quality. He was on top of everything and when there was an issue that would arise with an order he made sure it was handled quickly. This process could've easily been stressful but I rarely had any feel of negative stress during this process. Thank you Mark for everything. You not only remodeled our kitchen, but you helped make a house our home.

Amazing, Mark was professional and quick. He gave a fair estimate and was very through in explaining things to me. My house is approx 90 years old, and he was removing and replacing tile after I had some plumbing work done. You can barely see what tiles have been replaced, and he exceeded my expectations.

My first impression of Mark was that he was just a downright nice guy. I had two contractors out before him and already had some estimates. What I appreciated about Mark was that he was a nice guy, but still able to be straight-forward about numbers and talk realistically about what needed done. This meant he could say what needed said, but he was still great talk work with. In fact, he gave me a higher number than my previous contractors -- but I truly believed him when he mentioned several things the other contractors missed in their estimates, and I would ultimately pay for anyway. Mark was just giving me the real cost upfront -- instead of nickel and diming me. In fact, he made it a point to try and avoid coming back with incremental increases -- even though I know he ran in to things that were unexpected. He kept to his estimate. As the project went along, some things did change but each step of the way he always made the right decision. For example, when he removed the drop ceiling in the kitchen to repair what we thought was as small area of falling ceiling -- he discovered it was much worse than he thought and he couldn't possibly do that much work considering that it was easily 3x more than it looked like it would be when we first took a peek at it. So instead, Mark made up for it in other ways. For example, one of the doors upstairs to the bathroom was an odd size. He could have taken a shortcut and put a door on it that worked -- but it would have opened in to the hallway...which would have been awkward. Instead, he built a custom edge to the door frame and made the door open in to the bathroom. This made the door look great and avoided an awkward-looking doorway. Mark often did things that made it obvious he intended to work on things to get a result he would be happy with, basically making sure that whatever he finished was something he would be happy with as if it were his own house. Many of the final touches were things I didn't even ask for -- he just 'did it' because he knew it was a minor thing but made a major impression. For instance, he painted all of the air vents and even washed the siding on the front porch. The entire project was finished in an impressive amount of time -- it was only a few days longer than he estimated, and it surprised me that he was able to do so. He was able to lead the entire job, doing most of the work himself and only bringing in folks when it made sense -- but overseeing the work quality. I can't overstate how happy and fortunate I was to find Mark. He's a stand-up guy, and straight-forward when it comes to talking through business in a way that makes it easy for you both to decide what will and won't work in terms of numbers, timing and scope of the effort. I found Mark through Angie's list and didn't know him before this. The fact that I found a negative review among so many positive reviews is something I actually appreciated. Because it gave me a chance to read his response to the negative review -- and I told him so. It's easy to be nice when things are going well, but if you read his response he was still able to keep his helpful and respectful demeanor. I thought that was a real sign of true character and based on my experience -- I was right. I highly recommend Mark for your consideration if you want someone who will be respectful, forthcoming and does incredible work. His extensive experience is obvious in his work and he's the first guy I am calling for my next investment property.

Everything went as expected. What was nice is Mark did all he could to get it done ASAP as he was sensitive to the fact that while everything was being done we had to live out of the dining room. He did everything the way we wanted and was willing to go with the flow as we went.

He was very professional and accommodating to changes I wanted. He finished last week. I think he did quality work. The only problem was, and it was partly my fault, he should have special specifications nailed down before he starts the job. He has good ideas, but sometimes in the process the ideas get lost. Some of that was due to the space that he had to work in. Overall, he is very good, and I suggest that people get specifics. I was surprised at the cost of it. I would use him again, but I would check out other possibilities.

Mark did a fantastic job. Everything turned out just as good or better than we could have expected. The craftsmanship was excellent and Mark was professional throughout the process. At the beginning of our project, we had a general idea of what we wanted, but nothing definitive. Mark was great when it came to suggestions. He was not forceful, but he definitely has a lot of experience and had ideas for things that we would not have thought of. As for price, we had 6 estimates for our kitchen and Mark came in over $1500 cheaper than the next closest bid. Even after final payment was made, Mark came back when we had some questions for him. Mark is also friendly and a very genuine man. We will absolutely use him in the future for any remodeling work we may have. Couldn't be happier!!!
