Brick or Stone Fireplace (Gas) - Repair

I scheduled Nick to come out and do an inspection because my gas fireplace was not working. He came out and, after inspecting it, suggested that I need to get my fireplace cleaned in order to fix the problem. So, I paid an additional $350 to have the cleaning done. It still didn't fix the problem. I was then informed that I need to get a whole new fireplace system. I was quoted $2,500. Fortunately, I decided to hold off. Instead, I had my neighbor look at the issue. Within 5 minutes, he fixed the problem. The pilot light was dirty. Really? I had this company clean the entire fireplace, and you couldn't clean the most important part of the fireplace? Terrible service, will never use them ever again. I should receive a full refund. That would be the ethical way to manage this problem!
