They did a very good job. They were good. I had him do extensive work. I paid $2400. His original quote was $400 for one little thing and I added on a bunch of other things.

Top-notch pro. Rusty set my expectations well and was responsive at every step in the process (from bid to completion). It was the smoothest process of anyone I've ever hired to work on my house. He and his crew replaced our deck in five days and it looks beautiful. I couldn't be happier.

Borders came out to a**** my deck.  He gave an written estimate but could not do the work for a few weeks.. Approx 3 weeks later, a team of 2 came out to repair my deck composite.  Some of the lower wood support boards had shifted and needed to be jacked up and re-secured.  The job took a few hours to complete.  Afterwards we talked about the actions to repair the deck and how to negate future problems.  Excellent experience.  Highly Recommended <br />

We paid for the special....$200 for $400 worth of services which was supposedly approximately 200 sq. ft.  When they came out they measured the deck, the steps and the rails.  The deck they measured at 280 square feet.  If 200 sq. feet was $400, then the additional 80 sq. feet should have been approximately $160, making the deck itself $560, less the special we had already paid for ($200 for $400 worth of services)  instead we were charged $300 for the overage of square feet on the deck.   They do not remove the stain you buy at a local store, which they say is paint, and it certainly was peeling like paint.  So my husband spent considerable time sanding down the deck.  They came to power wash and they did a thorough job but we think the power washer was set too high as we have had problems with splinters since then.  The next day they came to stain.  We later noticed that there is a definite line where one side is darker than the other, obviously where one side had more stain applied than the other.  All in all it was a much more expensive job then we thought.  We agreed to the price because we had already paid for the special.  Decided in the future, we would bypass the specials unless someone came out to give us a quote prior to purchasing anything.  Live and learn I suppose.  I will say everyone seemed professional and polite. <br />

Called for an appointment and Rusty came out and looked at the newly installed decks and told me what needed to be done.  Purchased the Big Deal for the deck restoration through Angies List and had to wait because of all the rain had backed logged his team.  The first time they called I was out of town attending my youngest daughter's wedding.  A week later another call and scheduled for the following day.  Two day process and the crew was extremely courteous and professional.  Did not want to come into and through the house but because they did not have their 30 foot ladder on the truck there was no choice.  The next day Shaun and crew were back with their 30 footer.  Any and all questions were answered.  Great group to have working for you.  Would use again. <br />

I will say, the work was very well done and the deck looks great.  The people doing the work were professional and knew what they were doing.</p> <p>2. The deal did not cover as much as I thought.  When the representative came by (I think it might have been the owner) to look at the job, he said the job for my deck, which isn't that large, would be an additional $160.  Well I had already paid for the deal so I had little choice.</p> <p>This is the second time that the "deal" seemed to just be a way to get in the door and then charge more once they see the job.  I may have missed it but I didn't see anything in the disclaimer saying this may happen.  Also, once you pay for the deal, you're kind of committed and have little choice but to continue with the job.  I can't have him only do 3/4 of the deck.</p> <p>3. I had asked that we try to schedule at least part of the work for a Thursday.  Well, once I did get the call saying when they would be there, it was in the evening and they said "we'll be there tomorrow and the next day".  This was left on my voicemail and on a Thursday.  I called to ask to change the date, I did ask to have at least one of the days be a Thursday, I was hmmmd and hawed into just getting it done on Friday and Saturday.</p> <p>4. Bottom Line:  The workmanship and professionalism was great.  The job was done quickly, and my deck looks very good.  I just warn that these "deals" may not be what they appear.  I've gotten some that were exactly what I expected and two now that just seemed to be a way to commit you to a job that you would need to pay additional.</p> <br />

He didn't finish the job, he blew my electrical, he broke one of my windows and he's threatened to send me to collection agency.  He says I owe him $228. I told him I would pay him once I got the electrical issues resolved.  He didn't place any furniture back on my deck. I was glad that I had some lawn care people to help me place it back on there. I put $350 down and would pay the rest once the job was done.  He took the balance off of my card anyway.

Needs more work then what the Big Deal contains, I am going to hold off on it.
