Write a ReviewIf these people call you with an offer to "help"? RUN! HANG UP! Block the number!! Our basement flooded due to a sump pump failure, after having 3 other companies tell me they couldn't make it, BOR called and said they were on their way and would "get you taken care of". Upon arrival (several hours later), I was told their "extractor guy" was "tired" and they'd be back first thing in the morning. That turned out to be 2pm. I moved all the furniture out of the way, I removed all of the unsalvageable stuff and trashed it...yet I was billed for it. They never "lifted carpet"., never "floated carpet", yet I was billed for it. I did the final clean up, and put everything back. I was charged $2100 (TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED!) dollars for "repositioning fans" which consisted of turning a floor fan from a 2:00 facing position to a 10:00 position, then moving it 4 ft closer to a wall the third day. The 2nd fan was moved 8 ft. ($2100!!...more than the actual shop vac guys labor!!). They kept giving me "meter reading" reasons for having to "come back tomorrow" which kept tacking on the fees obviously. The person "in charge" showed up for 15 minutes on one of the days, got my wife in an uproar by pointing out phantom things "we can help you with" as it related to "restoration". Left without even meeting me. We were slapped with a bill for $7,376 for what amounted to someone using a shop vac to extract water from our basement carpet, and a couple of fans. The person who blew in and out of my in a pathetic attempt to "justify" their bill only stuttered "we're on the same team here", and kept blaming my insurance company (who did what they said they would do quickly). He admitted their billing system was "vague", yet couldn't give me any specific details as to why the amounts billed were legitimate, and I physically watched every second of work performed...so apparently he knew that jargon and "canned speech" wouldn't work. He had the gall to try to tell me I got "a deal" as they usually charge "upwards of $11K for similar work; which was even more horrifying! The "work" they did, claiming "emergency status, or "after hours" would have been steep at $3500...I can have my basement FINISHED for what they charged us for a simple shop vac extraction and some drying fans and a dehumidifier. It's an abomination that a company would so shamelessly take advantage of people in situations that require this type of service. We're fortunate to have the means to deal with this extortion, but imagine the impact on seniors on a fixed income?!?! RUN AWAY if this company calls you offering to "help", you'll get fleeced if you take them up. Apparently, under the "lesson learned" category, there's a reason the other companies I contacted were already busy and unavailable. The Chiropractor and physical therapy bills for the coming 5 years would have been cheaper than what these people charged, for the actual work performed. They should be ashamed of themselves for parading as your advocate.
Hi Matt, I understand you had a bad experience with us. I am sorry to hear that. Our experience with you and your family was great when we were on-site helping you with your water problem, so we appreciate you for that. We extracted water with our portable extractor, we set up drying equipment, we removed affected baseboards, applied anti-microbial, monitored the equipment, performed daily readings and moisture points, lifted and floated your carpet for drying, general cleanup, and insurance paperwork with sketches and pictures. All this was done to get your basement dried out, which was successful. We are here for you so feel free to call us at any time if you have any questions.
Nice guys.
HPPY WITH THE JOB THAN YOU VERY MUCH VERY PLEASE
Jason Cooper was very friendly, informative, and did a good job in explaining what needed to be done and how he was going to do it. To remediate the mold in an area 3 x 5 was expensive for 1.5 hrs.
Jason has been wonderful. He came when I asked him to, kept the cost manageble and is very considerate of what and how I want my restoration done. I've come to rely on him and will hire him in the future, when I need something else done.
Jason was very professional and personable working with us on the mold issue and removal in our home. He and his team did a great job working together so we could have the best possible outcome. We would happily recommend Jason and his company based on his professionalism, knowledge and a job well done.
B.O.R. was great! Jason was quick to respond and complete the job. He did a wonderful job and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing restoration services.
Jason did a great job and was very professional.
