I asked Lee for a quote for 2 alternative solutions to install a surround sound and hang TV on the wall, with the goal of removing the components and the TV stand/media center from the leaving room. Lee came up with a much more creative idea to achieve my goal that wan't more extensive than what I asked him to do. Lee was very knowledgable and understands video, sound and system design. I like that fact that he does the design, was on site with the installers while the job was done, and came at the end to fine tune/calibrate my system himself. The result was beyond my expectation. the sound/video is incredible, and the most important thing no media center/TV stand, no components everything is nicely hidden at the top of our coat closet in an unused space.  <br /> Why did Lee stand out from the others? <br /> He was very knowledgeable (I did an extensive research before and all his recommendations were spot on), honest and creative. He was involved in every step of the process His prices were competitive, and he didn't try to up-sell me more expensive stuff than what I needed, or already had. Also, Lee stuck to his final quote even though the job took longer that expected. <br /> Finally, I have to respond to a negative review that someone wrote saying that Lee quoted  $800 for a universal remote. Obviously I wasn't part of their conversation, but I find it hard to believe b/c ALL the quotes I got from Lee were in writing by email and he <br /> quoted me around $400 for a high end remote including his time to program it to my system. It is a shame that people can write inaccurate stuff and effect someone's reputation that way.  <br />

It went very well. It was more expensive than other people but it was great. I liked them. They were clean and they came when they were supposed to come. They gave me good advice and I just felt confident with the experience.

It went perfectly for me.  It was harder for them than they expected because of the way the ceiling in my family room was built.  It took them longer than they expected but they didn't even try to charge me more.  They insisted on cleaning everything up even though I told them that the house keeper was coming the next day. <br />

Lee was very clear up front about the challenges and the implications of those challenges in terms of the work that would have to be done and the cost associated with that work.  Luckily, his initial hunch was right and they got the job done beautifully in 2 hours. <br />

I had used Boston HiFi in the past to do A/V work at my old residence - and everything went super smooth. When I was ready to have some TVs mounted and in-wall speakers installed at my new home - calling Boston HiFi was a no-brainer. The owner (Lee) basically treats his clients like they are friends or family. He's a really nice guy - easy to communicate with - and his crew enjoy doing this stuff for a living. Boston HiFi has access to all the top A/V brands - I decided to purchase 2 60" Samsung TVs and some KEF audio equipment. The prices for the equipment were in line with any discount shops on the Internet. I was concerned about having to cut into a certain wall, but Lee showed me exactly what he proposed to do and after that - I felt confortable. After everything was done - you can't tell that wires are going through the particular wall in question. Fair pricing, great service - easy to work with. <br /> Great job guys! <br />

They had to take down my tv and fish out the broken cable as well as a cable for a component we no longer have connected.  They then added new HDMI cables as well as leaving a spare for future needs.  They reconnected all components and set up our Apple tv.  They connected Chromecast on another tv. <br /> <br />

Outstanding. Lee writes for AVS forum on home theater issues. He's a true expert in the industry and a trusted source for all things audio, video, speakers, DAC, amps, etc. This guy really knows his stuff. He was friendly and professional. <br />

These guys did a great job - you can tell they take pride in their work, every detail was flawless. If you want it done right and your house looking great, check these guys out. <br />

Lee and Boston HiFi did an excellent job. We had a budget to start with and unlike some other services I spoke to, Lee was very supportive of trying to be within our budget. Lee helped us figure out which projector, screen, speakers and remote control to select based on our budget. Further, our configuration at home wasn't straight forward (TiVo Mini over MoCA) and the HDMI cables and our BlueRay gave us some problems as well. As a result, they were not able to finish in one day. We had invited some friends over to watch a movie the same day so they lent us their BlueRay player so that we could watch the movie that night. They then came back the next day and were able to get the remaining things sorted out and fixed. Lee helped program the remote and made sure that the RF-remote worked well with all our equipment. I was able to add Apple TV myself to the mix without any problems. <br /> Overall, we were very happy with their price and their service and recommend them highly. <br />

I was very pleased with the work they did and they were very fats and knew what they were doing I would definitely recommend these guys.

Lee and his team are consumate AV pros.  They have incredible passion and knowledge of AV technology and take great pride in the work they do.  I recently hired Boston HiFi to pre-wire my new construction home.  Lee took the time to listen to my extraordinary needs and presented me with all of the options available.  His key focus was providing me with knowledge, peace of mind, and flexibility with budget to accomodate my requests.  Despite numerous changes that I requested, Lee was happy to accomodate and continued to provide outstanding support and service.  His tech team, Shawn and Jeremy, were punctual, courteous, and professional.  They were incredibly organized and finished the job quickly and efficiently.  I am a stickler for wiring organization and these guys exceeded my expectations.  All of the wiring was incredibly clean, neat, and laid out perfectly.  They worked directly with my electrician and updated me regularly on progress.  When the wiring was completed, I literally walked the house for over an hour just admiring the work they did.  They were very clean and neat with no excess wiring/wood shavings lying around.  The attention to detail was phenomenal and I'm looking forward to bringing them back for the equipment install and set up.  <br /> Pricing was excellent given the skill level, quality of work, and high end wiring used.  If you're looking for the best in quality of work and customer service, look no further than Boston HiFi... I can't give them enough praise! <br />

Excellent work - 5 Stars!!! I Whenever a company or contractor needs to install something in my home (and in this case a new home) I worry about corners being cut. The owner of the company (Lee) did the job with a few other guys, and he put any of my fears to rest immediately. Some of Lee's clients are businesses that have needs for television and/or conference room installations - so that made me feel good. Before any destructive drilling took place, Lee explained to me his opinion of where things should go, and why. He also listened to all my concerns (and some of them were nit-picky) - Lee wanted to make sure we were on the same page regarding everything that they would be doing. Once the guys got going, I was amazed to see that they were treating this as if it was their home. You can tell that Lee really enjoys what he does. The television that was mounted in my master bedroom is EXACTLY where I wanted it, and is perfectly level with the wall and ceiling. The holes that were drilled in the wall were done tastefully (even though we all knew they would be covered up by the TV). All the components (cable box, Blu-ray player, media box) are out of sight nicely located behind the wall on a shelf, with a tiny infrared device on the television that enables all remote controls to work through the wall. Lee and his team also installed an electrical outlet and a coax jack in perfect places (something that that cable companies wont do). They also had to fish coaxial cable through the attic and down the bedroom wall. Once we were done, Lee educated me on how to calibrate the television, and gave me a once-over tutorial. <br /> They also set up my family room with a 50' high definition television mounted on a stand and integrated in a high-end Cambridge Soundworks surround sound system. Lee showed me how to work the system as well. <br /> I really can't say enough about Lee and his team. They are fairly priced, they communicate well, pay excellent attention to detail and will respect your home. They also not only know what they are doing, but seem to have a very high level of knowledge regarding all areas of audio and video. I will be referring him to anyone in the market for an A/V install, and would use Boston HiFi again in a heartbeat. They truly care about providing a top-notch installation.
