Boyd Paving did not show up on the day that we had scheduled the work. I had to call them to reschedule.When they show to do the job, it was done well at first. But just a few weeks after the installation of my new asphalt driveway, the end where it meets the street started to break apart. I called Mr Boyd and he came back and instead of truly repairing the damage, he slopped a tar-like substance over the damage.And it never hardened. So the damage continued. He said it was too cold to harden. So seven months passed and in the summer Mr Boyd returned to again haphazardly apply what he called a liquid tackcoat on the damaged portion of the driveway.After not being able to use my driveway for 2 weeks because, again, it did not harden ( and tar was tracked all over my driveway and into my house), I called Boyd Paving.This is July of this year. He said he was too busy and would come back in November. I never heard from him so I emailed him once again . And again. He expressed NO interest in helping resolve the problem that he created even though I offered to pay to have stone replace the damaged portion of the driveway.I have had to chase Boyd Paving for one entire year, only to be put off over and over again. The truth is, his price was a little lower than other quotes that I had received.But it's true; "You get what you pay for". <br />

My good neighbor researched providers for his own and my new driveways. We both agreed that Boyd Paving had the best ratings and reviews. Since my neighbor made the arrangements for the service, I did not have preliminary contact with the company. Once all was scheduled, Eugene Boyd was very responsive. He returned my calls promptly and answered all questions with patience and clarity. The job was completed by caring professionals with Mr. Boyd present during all aspects. I highly recommend Boyd Paving. <br />

Beautiful job transforming and re-shaping a very old driveway. Great price. In addition, Mr. Boyd rebuilt/refurbished a 56 year old cement garage apron that now looks new. Very experienced, knowledgeable, hard working, and professional crew. Neighbors have commented on how good the driveway looks! I would definitely recommend Boyd Paving. <br />

They were on time, did a great job. Good clean up. The owner was actually part of the job, he didn't just send a crew. He did some of the work himself. I liked how when he first left his information it was very professional. He left a folder with a copy of his Angie's List certificate, business card, copy of his work license etc. not just a piece of paper with a price on it. <br />

Eugene and his team did a great job with our driveway. Overall we had a very good experience at a good price. We had some minor communication issues (just make sure you give direction directly to Eugene), but everything was resolved just fine and the driveway looks great! <br />

The gentlemen that did the work for us were on time, courteous and professional. Whenever we use to go down our driveway the car always scraped the bottom. That problem is no longer there and I can't say enough about thar. I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone who requires similar services.

I called Boyd paving to replace an old cracked driveway and spoke with Eugene Boyd the owner. He agreed to come the next day to give me an estimate. He was prompt courteous and professional and gave me a competitive price to do the work so we hired him. He called me right away to come in and remove the old driveway. His crew was right on time and did a great job, Eugene himself was on the job as well which was great to see. He put down a base of gravel and told me he would be back once the gravel had time to set. Eugene explained that this part of the process couldn't be rushed and the gravel had to settle otherwise the integrity of the driveway would be compromised. It was obvious to me that Eugene wanted to make sure everything came out right. His crew came several weeks later and finished the job and it looks great! Once again Eugene himself was there doing the work with the crew which was great to see. He called me for a follow up and was very thorough as to what I should do and told me he stands behind all of his work which I am confident is true. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Boyd Paving in the future. <br />

Eugene kept me informed as to any schedule change due to cold weather. <br /> I appreciated that he would call me - I didn't have to call to ask when the job would be done. <br /> He came to give me the estimate at the time he said he would. The work was done as soon as it could be done. <br /> Everybody was at the house and ready to work at the time that was set. <br /> I am very pleased with the work that was done. So glad it could be done before all the awful weather we had this winter. <br /> I would definitely use Boyd Paving again. <br />

He provided the estimate the same day, within fifteen minutes. He was extremely prompt and was very specific as to what would be included in the job. <br /> <br />*Update <br /> <br />Our driveway was over 50 years old and was beginning to crumble more and more over the last 5 years. <br /> <br />In the winter it got so bad that my snow thrower actually ate pieces of old asphalt and shot them all over my lawn making it look like there had just been a meteorite shower. Needless to say our driveway was the worst on the block and embarrassing to look at. <br /> <br />At that point we knew we had no choice but to find a reputable contractor to install a new driveway. After searching Angie's List we found Boyd Paving with over 20 years experience, and were very happy we did! <br /> <br />Eugene Boyd and his crew worked hard to install and expand my driveway from 12 feet to 20 feet. They worked fast and efficient removing the old material, you could tell the whole crew was good at their job. <br /> <br />After waiting the usual time for everything to settle, the crew returned and completed the job very quickly and precisely. Within a few hours the asphalt was placed down and paved smooth and flat. The edges where asphalt met block or cement was perfect. The Belgian block itself was of high quality also, and installed exactly how we asked. <br /> <br />We had also requested a cement apron be installed near the garage to replace the old one and they did a perfect job on that too. <br /> <br />Now, everyday that we look at our driveway we are proud of our home. We are no longer the laughing stock of the neighborhood and undoubtedly have the best driveway around thanks to Boyd Paving! <br />
