I am a residential and commercial energy broker with Lgcy Power. My mission statement is simple to give each and every client the attention to detail that their situation requires, while treating each home or business like it were my own. Many people here in Nevada simply don’t realize that there’s a clean energy mandate under measure 6. That means that the utility has to be 25% renewable by 2025 and 30% renewable by 2030. The end goal is that Nevada is completely renewable 100% by 2050. The question is why have you waited? Solar is so good and reliable now and the costs have come way down to the point where you can save money and own your own equipment, but more importantly, have more power in most cases than you were already paying NV Energy the same amount of money for! I can walk you through the design process and give you plenty of no out of pocket cost options for ownership or leasing options! As an electrician in the Navy and military vet our country’s power grid is our number one security threat. Under the current utility model NV Energy has to raise rates every quarter to continue the expansion and upkeep of the grid. "A lot of homeowners simply don’t realize that under measure 6 you’re either going to pay Warren Buffett and NV Energy to put solar up and sell it back to you with continual rate increase year after year, or you can buy it yourself and get the tax credit and get paid from the utility for the excess you put back on the grid, and have a fixed cost! This way you’re adding value to your home the minute your system is turned on, instead paying NV Energy for the rest of your life with nothing to show for it. It’s the law in our state, NV Energy can’t force you to go solar but if we don’t need the clean energy mandates the utility gets fined and they’ll pass those fines on to you and charge you for it."
"I’ve done a lot of supplemental system add-ons because Solar city and Sunrun only did leases when the solar programs just started! Unfortunately most leases won’t allow you to get a 100% offset or higher, so many customers were left with a lease payment and they were still paying NV Energy on an increasing rate scale out of pocket every month just like you.
