Briteway Painting

1.) The manager came over and we discussed what needed to be accomplished. He said he used Sherwin Williams paint and I asked him if I could upgrade the Paint to Benjamin Moore however, he would only pay the cost per gallon of the Sherwin Williams Top of the line paint. I agreed and stated I would pay the difference between the two. It took 14 Gallons of Paint to complete the job. After the job was completed, he stated he was not going to pay for the paint. That he wrote a new contract that excluded him from paying saying I would supply all the paint. I told him that I never agreed to or signed that contract. A month prior to the painters painting the walls new hardwood floors and stained baseboards had been installed. The rooms all have stained wood trim around all doors and alcoves. There is two built in cabinets besides the kitchen cabinets. The Briteway online page states very distinctly that they spend considerable time in preparations and taping as to protect the homes interior from paint mishaps. Major reason I hired them was because I believed what it stated. The painters came and there were only two of them who could communicate in English so there was a huge lack of communication. The owner/manager of the paint company never once came by to see how the job was going. So, I was left to monitor the painters and run to the store and purchase paint when needed. During the job and after I had to point out items as best as I possibly could to the painters that spoke no English. The painters worked hard with what they had, but not very detailed and little taping was done to protect the new or old wood trim as they preferred to free hand and not tape. I tried to advise them but I was ignored. This was a job where, as I told the manager, a scaffolding was best to use due to all the details and stained wood trim that needed to be protected from paint. They painters still used only tall ladders which does not allow any detail work. Also, during the use of rollers they used the same rollers for the entire job which do pick up lint and other small objects that get transferred to the wall with paint and show up in the dried paint. Also, there are runs in the applied paint in a few spots on the walls coming out of the light switches as well as a couple other spots. So my house with new hardwood floors and baseboards which now look terrible and is probably permanently damaged. It would probably cost more to fix all the issues done by Briteway than it cost to have them come ruin it. It is obvious to me that this is not a company that knows anything about doing detailed work or caring about the customers possessions!

What can I say? I was worried about paying for a big job like this but I knew it would take a lot of work and it would be worth the price. The brick on our house is really not an attractive brick so I came up with a concept and design, giving us a white brick to match the interior modern renovations we did when we purchased the house. The team at Briteway were fantastic. Mick came out and quoted us same day. He answered all of my questions to help with my concerns. Joel and his team executed the plan quickly after I signed. A week later and our house is completely transformed.

Things moved along quickly after we made contact with Briteway. The Sales / Customer Service staff called within a few days and scheduled an appointment to view the house and give us a free quote. After meeting with 2 other companies, my husband and I went with Briteway due to the professionalism of Ben (customer service rep), as well as the quote being the better of the 3 that we received. From there, things went smoothly! The painters were professional, friendly, and skilled at what they do. After the job was completed, my husband went online and made a payment with his credit card. Lastly, the house looks great, the neighbors have told us that they're glad that we kept the house pink :) , and we've recommended Briteway to a friend who needs their home painted.

I had a good feel for this company when Mick met with me and provided me with an estimate for our dining room area. The crew arrived when they said they would and did a fantastic job. The most important thing to me was the immaculate cleanup when they would stop or finish for the day. I definitely will use this service again in the future.

It went really well. They were great. I gave them less than 24 hours notice but they fit me in and did a beautiful job. Absolutely will use them again!

Fine on initial contact, very professional- that went out the window after that . Numerous times, I could not reach business owner until I emailed 2-4x. Delayed project nearly 2 months, gave him money end of may and they Just finished today. Once they finally did come, to only power wash the deck, they forgot a hose and did not knock on the door or call to get our hose out of the garage - they just left. The following Monday, they came again and forgot a hose! Some other company truck showed up to paint. The next day they left a giant ladder behind my garage where I couldn't get my car out. If you have unlimited time and patience, give them a call.

I use Angie's list for all major projects and normally will secure 3-4 bids. What really is critical to me is not necessarily the price (although important) but my ability to be assured that I can trust the folks that take on the contracted work. Mick was not the lowest bidder, but he did what he promised and then some. I enjoyed working with his crew and opened my home to them for all "pit stops". As previously mentioned my home has high peaks and lots of shrubbery with trees that surround it. These guys (especially Rob) were very helpful with color and just a bit of "pop" on the dental work that provided the house with a really fresh look, not just a recoloring. We ran into a small problem involving my two year old roof and because Mick and I had established a very open line of communication we resolved the issue quickly. The work was completed timely (even with all the rain in July of this year/2016) and very professionally. All total it took about 1 full week to complete the job and the guys were very good about cleaning up at the end of each work day. I will use Mick again, I have a large great room with the same types of high ceilings and lots of crown molding. I am so pleased to have found a fantastic painting service. Team worked through cold winter days when temperatures rose high enough to paint. Quality and workmanship good. There was small mixup on color that owner made right without issue. If I have any constructive criticism it would be more frequent check ins on progress and color validation.

The direct service providers Rob and Pedro were professional and courteous.  The job they did painting was phenomenal!   Great paint job!  I requested painting service in July 2015. Services were performed in January 2016 do to staffing issues with the company. But having Rob and Pedro was worth the wait.  They did an awesome job! the price seemed very high. The quality of work Rob and Pedro provided was excellent though.   <br>

After first coat, we changed our color choice. They accommodated our request for the second coat. Quality materials, professional application, and care of landscaping. <br />I will hire them again. <br />
