This project was more complicated than we anticipated, because some of the work belonged to the town and some belonged to us as property owners.  JayDee helped facilitate the discussions between the town and ourselves.  There was an extensive delay -- really not due to JayDee but due to the town's staffing changes.  Once this was resolved, the work went well.  JayDee and his team arrived on time and JayDee met with us to review the final design and pricing.  They proceeded to transform our driveway, the walkways, and the paving alongside the road in front of our house. <br /> We stayed off of the new paving for over a week, just to be on the safe side.  The true test came when we had torrential rains that caused flooding in other parts of our town and in many places in Southern Maine.  I watched as the water came rushing down our street.  Funneled by the slight trough alongside the road, the water rushed past our yard and house, and went down the storm drain.  Not a drop of rain came into the side yard and basement from the street flooding.  What a relief! <br /> In addition, the new driveway and walkways are attractive.  We are very happy with the work performed by JayDee and crew. <br />

Very professional, very prompt and upbeat.  Did an excellent job and got it done quickly.  Totally recommend him - just truly excellent all around. <br />

Provided prompt estimate and scheduled.  Went over job and indicated that if there were any issues or needed anything to let them know and they would resolve.  They worked hard and were professional. Update: Our large lot had several areas that were missed. Contacted JayDee on 8/28 and he said he would get to it the next week. On 9/9 I contacted again and he said he was busy but he would do it the next week. On 9/14 I called and e mailed and he responded and said he was booked solid and would be in touch. On 9/15 he said he would get it done soon but maybe not until Oct. On Oct 2 I e mailed and asked if he would remedy and no response. Disappointing.

They were finished in a day. I needed to stay off of it for about 3 days to let it sit, and was lucky with the weather, as it rained a lot after they did the job so I didn't have to hose it down every day as would have had to do had it been sunny and hot. <br />

Very good experience. I contacted Broadturn via their email address that I found on the website. Response was the next day and owner came out to site within a few hours of the initial phone call to estimate the job. All in all, the job was done within a couple days of initial phone contact. No money required up front - only upon completion and inspection of work done. <br />

I think they did a very good job. They know what they were doing and quote us the price and that is what he charges us. Initial when we first bought the house, the house is new and went up the builder whoever he used to put the initial black top down they didn't do a super good job so lot of  it little pebbles were coming up a lot so he came out last year and we decided to have it done again just to seal it off really good and it looks really nice and we got a really big driveway. I would use him again.

JayDee met in advance of the start date with each of the 5 property owners to discuss not only the impact of the work on our week but also to make sure that everyone completely understood what was to be done in the process, from removing the old pavement to the type of surface that was to be installed and the time it would take from start to finish. It was at this time that individuals also discussed the additional work desired. <br />  They started and finished exactly as described and simply did perfect work.  <br /> While constructing my driveway it was noted that now my front lawn would look better extended to the new road surface(my old lawn was in rough shape and stopped 10 ft short of the road where we parked our cars prior to the new driveway) While meeting to discuss the final appearance of the new driveway, JayDee made a reasonable offer to place new loam on my lawn where it needed it. It was very fair and efficient since the equipment was on hand for the other work. <br /> When I returned home to find my driveway completed and the new loam in place, I was more than stunned. JayDee and the crew had gone, what I feel, was above and beyond the scope of work agreed. My new lawn was "sculpted" to the design of the front of the house and new driveway. The loam was thick and rich waiting for new seed. It has now been two weeks and the lawn is coming up well. It was very clear that they took pride in their work and wanted to insure both the quality of the work and our satisfaction. <br /> My wife, who was reluctant from the start to change the appearance of our tiny cottage, was ecstatic, her first comment was that the work they had done improved the value of our home by $20,000.00. Honestly, I can't disagree. My objective from the start was to just make winter parking/plowing better. What we ended up with, thanks to Broadturn Paving, was a significant improvement to our home worth many times over the money we spent. He was on time, he actually was early. He did a fairly good job. I would give him a B because there were a few cracks that he didn't seal that my husband had to go and fill. I believe that we would use them again in the future. He gave us a discount because he is listed on Angie's list.

The work was accomlished correctly and in a timely manner and the owner was informative and friendly.  Overal an excellent job. <br />

We called Broadturn after seeing their truck locally. We called and got voice mail, within 10 minutes he returned our call and came out the same day to look at/measure the job! JayDee met with us, went over and in every detail what he recommended we should do and his process of doing it. He also recommended that we strip the parking lot(parking spaced) and put a "Caution Border" at the Customer entrance to our office. Neither of which we had considered or thought of, but after seeing the completed product extremely happy we went forward with his suggestion. On the spot he gave us an estimate that was very fair and reasonable. We had asked if it was possible to do the work during the 4th of July Holiday since the office was closed, Broadturn was happy to oblige. Thank you for your great service!

I had two offers for the same price.  I chose this one because the fellow seemed polite and professional, and he said that in addition to sealing the driveway he would return to fill in the spot at the end where extra asphalt was needed for a large patch.  He said he would do it during the course of the summer and just consider it part of the job, throw it in as an extra.  I asked when it would be done and he said definitely before September, he would just swing by when he had extra asphalt left over from another job, which happened regularly.  I waited until September and he never came back.  I waited some more and called him a few weeks later.  He said he would still be doing it, not to  worry.  He never returned. <br />  I hate posting negative reviews and I hoped he would contact me to make this right later, but he didn't.  Obviously he just didn't care anymore because the job was done and paid for.  In short, this person did not keep his word.  This was a disappointing experience, as I always like to believe the best about people.
