Brooks Brothers Construction LLC

The job has not, and is not going well. The job was paid in full and Alvin Brooks took the money and is not coming back to finish the work. He mislead me about material pricing. Alvin said he paid 200$/yd for 21 yards of concrete (4200$ just for concreete an 4000$ to put up a few rafters for the shed roof.) I contacted the concrete supplier. Alvin only bought 14 yards at 120$/yd (1380$ was Alvins cost. He also wasted a yard because it set before it could be worked) when i confronted him he said 200$/yd was what they charged him. Since then Brooks Brothers Construction has dissappeared. They will not return my calls or text. The orginal estimate was 8200$. We paid Brooks that amont an all we got was an eyesore, frustration, stress an a tripping hazard. On top of all that the job was started 7 months ago an is not even half done. Alvin estimated 3 days of work to complete the job. The workmanship is horrendous. The concrete in not level, its cracked, not uniformly 3 inches thick and its bumpy. It needs to be ground smooth. People have tripped on it. They couldn't put the rafters on 2 foot centers. They ran equipment into 2 buildings an damaged both. Brooks Brothers promised to make EVERYTHING RIGHT. And now they have disappeared into the nite. Im optimistic that Angi will help me get a fair share of my money back to repair and finish the job Brooks started. I have complete documentation an witnesses to support my claim. A wise person learns from thiet mistakes. A wiser person learns from others mistakes.
