Brothers Metal Roofing

We were put into contact with Brothers Metal Roofing via the company Angi around November 10, 2021 to have them quote to install metal roofing on our new construction home. A proposal was sent from Angi for us to sign on 14-NOV for ~ $13K to install the roofing but the Brothers Metal Roofing had not come by to inspect and measure the roof. We requested that someone from the Brothers Metal Roofing come to the house to better understand the roof that would need to be installed, to inspect the roof in it's current state, and to measure the roof. Issac from Brothers Metal Roofing came to our house on 18-NOV-2021 to understand the roof that would need to be installed, to inspect the roof in it's current state, and to measure the roof. After this visit from Issac, Angi prepared another roofing proposal for ~$38K to install the roof which did not match the conversation between us and Issac. At this point we began working with Issac directly for a proposal to have our roof installed. The first estimate was on 20-NOV-2021 for $37K to install the roof. We negotiated via text messages and then received a second estimate of $34,265.97 not including the batten system. Further conversations between with Issac came to an agreed upon price of $5500 for the batten material and installation. We paid a $12,750 deposit to start. After 3 days on the job, Issac stated that there was more work than he anticipated and that he need an additional $35K to finish the roof. We declined and released Brothers Metal Roofing because we did not trust them after doubling the cost to install the roof after 3 days of work. Brothers Metal Roofing left the metal trim and battens that were purchased and stated that we were not due any refund of the $12,750 deposit. I asked and received copies of invoices that totaled $4871.12 for material, a statement that there was $165 worth of nails purchased and other charges. We have not received any refund, Issac no longer responds to our texts, and he has not responded to the Ohio BBB complaint. Ohio BBB Case # 42097989

Roofing was completed, then I hired them to redo the gutters. Reasonable prices, quality work.
