"Long term client of ours. The chlorine test was after the homeowner locked their gate and let the dogs out in the backyard with special instructions to notify them ahead of time to put the dogs inside with no answer or returned calls or text messages. We attempted to return that week and the homeowner could not provide any open availability. Something happened to their vacuum cleaner and somehow it was fixed by the homeowner. The homeowner expected us to stock over a million parts on each of the trucks, however we weren't clear on what was wrong with it. We had an extra Hayward vacuum port safety cover and gifted it to them. They're cheap, made of recycled plastic, are submerged in chlorine all day and can break if you run the brush on them the wrong way. Our Technician found it on the floor and pulled it out. We discounted their bill, apologized and agreed that we should have notified them sooner. The homeowner had their pool replastered and their control box was not programmed afterwards. This was a plaster company issue that we ended up adding a discount to their invoice to retain service. Tons of issues right at the end, accused us of not taking ownership or fault, kept searching for something, anything. We will accept responsibility when it's ours to accept. Something changed in their household, both homeowners were under a lot of stress. We wish them luck with their next pool service company, or if they're doing it themselves we'll be here for them if they need us."
