Bryson Sweaney Painting

I hired Bryson from these reviews. The bid included removal of wallpaper in dining area, removal of acoustic ceiling (they didn’t remove as contract stated they mudded over) and prep for paint, painting the whole house, refinish kitchen and house cabinets with a lacquer and staining, replace kitchen counter top and backsplash, replace all hanging doors including 3 pocket doors in the master bath, add LED can lights and bathroom fans. To be honest it is the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. The bid said sharp clean edges. There is paint on my carpet, there are runs and carry over on the trim (refused to use painter tape). They didn't order enough backsplash and then after expected me to pay hundreds more. Ended up filing a complaint with the state contractor’s license board. He only came back because of the complaint and did a walk through and offered to come back 8/13/18 and fix my concerns. He came back and I showed him that the paint was peeling off in the master bath. He said yea he knew they didn't prime the walls. It turns out latex paint doesn’t go over oil-based paint without primer (He should have known this and the crew he left to do the work). So, he spent 2 days on the master bath and screwed me on the rest of the complaint. After having 3 contract painters come in they were flabbergasted of the poor workmanship of this painter. Yes, this 5-star review contractor didn’t use primer in the semi-gloss rooms. So, one of the paint contractors took a credit card out and ran it down the wall and the paint peeled off the wall. The two contractors who came by found more bad work then I even noticed. Didn't even sand down the plaster you put up in the hall bathroom and just left it without painting, picture attached. The last couple of pictures are of the cabinet refinish. Nothing even matches. It looks cheap and not what we even asked for.

This was a huge job for Bryson and his team. The painting is flawless. Really quite amazing. I'm still stunned. His painters were all very professional. They left the house clean every night and returned on time every day. I have used other painters before some good and some not so good, but this time with such a large job I never thought it could look so perfect. But I was wrong. I am very happy. Highly recommend.

Painters were on time and worked hard every day. Complaints: Both guys smoked and because my windows were open, I could smell it inside. They brought their own "Boom Box" and played heavy metal type music loudly. It made me dizzy and I'm sure the neighbors didn't appreciate it either. It has been two weeks now and I am beginning to see some flaws especially on the doors. Other than that, my house looks amazing!

Bryson and Tommy were professional and courteous, and asked questions if they had them along the way.  At the end of each workday, they left the site neat and tidy.  We are very pleased with the results, and would highly recommend them! <br />

Went very well, had trouble with the ceiling due to the way the handyman took out and repaired a soffit so Bryson had to have his man come back to repaint ceiling. I have the original metal cabinets from when grandma and grandpa built the house in 48 and they turned out beautiful. They have held up to the cleaning and still look like they were painted yesterday.

Bryson's crew led by Patrick did an excellent job on the painting. Although the job took an extra day to finish we do realize it was a huge job with a lot of trim painting. Patrick communicated very well and always explained where they were on the job and what was coming next. All of them were very professional.

From the day I contacted Bryson until the last day I was very pleased! Bryson was very good at communicating with me! I live 4 hours from the home that I needed painted. My father passed in March & we are getting his house ready to sell. They made such a hard time so much easier. My father lived in the same house for 36 years & it  shows . Now dad's house looks great! This house was a challenge but they came thru! He has such a wonderful crew! I had no idea what colors I would use. Bryson was very helpful at picking colors! Tommie one of the crew is such a good guy! He helped me way beyond what we paid for. We felt like we knew him forever. I never saw the man take a break. It was a very hot week in Taft. Bryson was done in two days due to having a large, hard-working crew of men. Bryson was very polite and helpful when picking out colors.  I should have listened to him about trim colors, but I thought I knew what I was doing.  He was right, I needed to pick his color choice. He came right out and repainted the trim, and he didn't make me feel embarrassed for changing my mind. His crew even painted my garage door! <br /> This is the first time I ever had a house painted, and I would highly recommend Bryson Sweaney for the job. <br />

Bryson came to our house and gave us a bid and was able to complete the work on the timeline we wanted. He matched the paint colors we had selected. He arrived on time as scheduled and completed the job as described. <br />

<p>Having worked a lot of subcontractors in the past, I know that promptness is not high on many of there priorities.  Bryson and his crew showed up on time everyday that they said they would be there and went right to work.  The old paint was peeling in many places do to poor workmanship from the previous painters.  His crew easily spent more than a week prepping all the surfaces.  The paint was well done in a professional manner.  On the day of payment, he came by and we inspected all the work to make sure we were satisfied with the job.  We noticed here and there a few small places that had been missed.  He had a worker go get the paint and as we would find places that need fixing, the painter would fix it as we walked around.  The one house is 2 story and the second was much smaller but had more angles and coverings to work around.  We were very happy with the results and would highly recommend this painter for future jobs.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Bryson came to our home promptly when called to give us an estimate. I was not able to be there so he gave the estimate to my Husband. But I had many questions, he returned several times to go over things with me. I am very picky, he went to Sherwin Williams and picked up samples of the colors I had chosen, and stopped by and put them on a small area of the house. He did this a week before the job was to start so I could live with the colors to be certain that's what I wanted. I appreciated him doing this for me very much! Any question's I had he was more than happy to answer, and any special request that I had, he was more than happy to take care of. On the day the job was to start, his crew showed up right on time. They spent hours prepping. They were very friendly, kind and courteous. They are professional and good at what they do. We had rain issues that slowed them down, so they were more than happy to work on Saturday. The house turned out beautiful and we couldn't be happier.
