"Our company was contracted to undertake a comprehensive project that encompassed a range of tasks, including the demolition of a 2500 square feet hardwood floor, the framing of five offices totaling 800 square feet, as well as the hanging and finishing of 53 boards of drywall with level five finishing. Additionally, we were tasked with running 150 feet of wire and Ethernet for electrical installations. Despite the complexity and scale of the project, we successfully completed 100% of the work as outlined in the contract. However, during the course of the project, we encountered challenges with one of our subcontracted electricians. After completing 75% of the required work, we regrettably had to terminate their services. Despite this, at the client's insistence, we were directed to pay the electrician in full. Subsequently, in a phone conversation with the client, it was disclosed that their new electrician confirmed that all work had been completed except for one wire that had not been connected. Given the estimated value of the project, which exceeded $20,000, it is implausible for the project to be more than 50% overbudget. In addition to the issues with the subcontracted electrician, we faced unreasonable demands from the client regarding working hours and days off. We were required to work over 14 hours daily without breaks and were denied Sundays off in order to meet the client's stringent deadlines. Throughout this challenging period, we endured verbal abuse, insults, and profanity from the client. Despite these adversities, we remained committed to fulfilling the client's demands and completed the work to the best of our abilities. Moreover, the client issued three change orders during the project, necessitating the demolition and reconstruction of walls that had already been completed. This not only caused delays and additional costs but also disrupted our carefully planned schedules and impacted our ability to prioritize other customers. Furthermore, the client breached the terms of the contract by directly soliciting our subcontractors and engaging other contractors to perform services that were originally agreed upon with [Member Information Removed]. This behavior not only undermined the terms of our agreement but also had a detrimental effect on our business operations and reputation. As a consequence of these challenges and disruptions, our deposits are considered non-refundable as per the terms of our agreement with the client. Despite the difficulties we faced, we remained dedicated to delivering quality work and meeting the client's expectations to the best of our abilities."
