We definitely don't recommend Bumgarner Septic Tank of Granite Falls. It might be okay if your job only requires one visit from these guys, because that's all they're gonna do. They showed up to pump our septic tank, and then promised to come back and fix the broken effluent pump. After many phone calls from my husband, David Cady, it was obvious the owner of Bumgarner Septic Tank was never going to fix the pump. Some septic jobs require more than a quick pump, but that's not what Bumgarner Septic Tank of Granite Falls does. Oh, they'll pump the poop, but if you've got any other issue - like say a broken effluent pump, you can forget it. Problem is, you won't know you need more than a good pump until the poop is out. By that time, you've already hired BUMgarner Septic Tank who won't help you and won't call you back to tell you that they won't help you. (Then you have to pay another company to pump the poop again to fix the pump.) Don't hire this company!
Response from Bumgarner Septic Tank & Grading
"[Member Name Removed], I am sorry you feel this way but like all stories there are two sides. You can try to drag our name through the mud but you need to be honest on your end before you start spreading rumors. The owner of Bumgarner Septic Tank and Grading did say he was going to come out and replace the pump the RIGHT way. He politely told your husband we ONLY place pumps from our suppliers who have a 3 year warranty that are specially made for pump tanks. Your husband did not want to get a pump through our supplier, instead he wanted to purchase a pump from a Big Chain Lumber Store who I am not going to mention their name, but they are located in [Member Information Removed]. We have never installed a pump from a chain store nor will we ever install a pump from a chain store that does not have a 3 year warranty or any information of their performance. But you also left out the part about the electrician part. If the other so called company did not have a licensed electrician to connect all the wiring from the house to the pump, well that was not legal. If you would all have agreed to our supplier pump and our LICENSED electrician to help with the replacement we would have guaranteed our work. But like I said, when you want to try to cut corners to save money, I am sorry we did not want to be a part of it. We tried, but you all denied all of our suggestions for a correct fix of the issue. So again, be honest on your end before you try dragging someone's name through the mud."

Excellent. Mike also agreed to do some extra excavating we needed. Although he was unable to do this because of the proximity to our barn he was still willing to help us on last minutes notice.

Fantastic job. They spent hours and hours trying to locate my septic system and cleaned out two of them. They were really good. I was amazed at how much trouble they went to. I mean they prowled my whole property and I have like 3 acres, trying to find the septic system, because it wasn’t where it was supposed to be and he found it and they never complained, nothing.

It went perfect! Called Wednesday evening, scheduled for Friday afternoon, septic tank cleaned, dirt put back in it's place, called and paid for my services over the phone. Staff very polite and clean (not sure how with this type of work). PERFECT!! Just my style.

These folks were just great! Punctual, courteous and knowledgeable. They answered all my MANY questions. As they were pumping, they showed me water dripping into the tank which was from a leaking toilet. They impressed on me the importance of fixing the toilet immediately to avoid septic system failure. I never knew those little annoying drips could do such damage! Neat and tidy job! I would hire again without hesitation.

It went great! They called before arriving and arrived on time. Once the door to the system was located they were done with the job quickly. At first they had trouble locating the septic door, which is understandable, because it was covered up with a lot of dirt and had never been pumped out since the house was built. Very professional and nice. Will definitely use them again.

All of the folks at Bumgarner Septic could not have been nicer or more professional to deal with. From the young lady at their office that scheduled the appointment to the 2 gentleman that came out to my farm to provide the service. They were on time and performed flawlessly. In this day and age when great customer service is hard to find, these folks hit the ball out of the park and provided A+ service. Thank you for a painless and pleasant experience, all based on the fine folks you have working within your company. You have gained a customer for life! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

The Lady answering the phone was most courteous, siad they would get me today the called 2 hours later said they would be there in 30 minutes. They came found the tank entrance cleaned and pumped it and were on there way in 45 minutes I was very pleased, even tipped them above the asking price. They were most courteous and very professional, I would definitely call them again.
As a result of an emergency plumbing service, we found there was a problem with our septic tank. Bumgarner's had pumped it in March, 2015. When they came over (on time, within only a few hours of being called), they figured out in a matter of minutes what the problem was. It turns out the filter on the exit side of the septic tank was clogged. They apologized profusely, cleaned everything up, and were on their way. There was no charge since they were confident their driver did not know about the filter when he pumped it out in March (apparently not all septic tanks have these... which means the type of problem we had could have been a lot worse if all that solid material had gone into the actual weeping bed).
I know nothing about septic tanks (I know a lot more now that this happened...) so they could have easily charged me for the service visit. However, they were very honest, and as a result, have a loyal customer and strong word of mouth advertising.
All went well. I never had any work done on a septic system. The driver came to do a video inspection for me. He looked at what I had and said that it was easier to just open the lid and look in person. He did that in a few minutes. He said the system looked good but should be pumped. I was not charged for the inspection, and they came the next day and pumped the tank. All is good and I got a little education on how it all works as well as peace of mind that my system is working as it should. Very professional staff, and prompt courtious service. I will hire these folks again for our future rental property to do the inspection of the septic system.
They can't make it to my area. They are in a county that is about an hour away, they just don't service this area. They called me right away to let me know and even tried to handle the refund for me.

We had just bought the home and knew nothing about our septic system when Brandon came out. He took extra time to explain it all. He was wonderful. Plus, he was on time, professional and did a great job! A+++

Update 2/2/2015: About 2 weeks after we had the tank cleaned out, our septic alarm went off again. The alarm was one of the reasons we had it pumped out, and it should not have been going off any longer. Brandon quickly came back out to investigate. The people who lived here before us were the DIY type, and we have come across a lot that was not done as it necessarily should have been. It really has been a common theme inside the house and out. The tank alarm was just another example of this. Bumgarner ended up installing a new alarm for us, the right way, and everything is now working correctly. Pricing was very reasonable, and we have not heard the alarm again. It's been about 2 weeks. We are very happy customers!
