Gutters & Downspouts - Clean
I hired Buzz Bunting to help align a downspout that wasn’t lined up correctly, from the roof of the house, he used a 38 foot ladder, to climb to the affected area, and properly correct the problem. Then I hired Buzz Bunting to install the gutter guard stainless steel micro mesh system, along the gutters on the front and back of the gutters, to prevent further buildup of leaves, twigs, helicopters, and roof grit, from a neighbors Maple Tree, and the general breakdown of roof grit, from weathering years of heat and cold. I was very pleased with how professional Buzz is, his general knowledge of home repairs is astonishing. He works alone, is very trustworthy, and does rock solid workmanship. He is super versatile, can basically fix or repair anything, and if there is something that he doesn’t do, he gives great advice, to point you in the right direction.

I just want to thank Buzz for the high quality of the work he performed
for me recently when replacing a faucet, as well as the kind, generous,
and professional manner with which he conducts his business. I am
blessed to have had his services, and would gladly recommend his work to
anyone!

My primary goal was to remove the carpet and install hardwood floors in the two small bedrooms, hallway, stairs and living room. At the front door, I did not want hardwood flooring because of all the dirt, and mud that gets dragged in the house. I did not know what was the best type of flooring to put at the entryway.
I got estimates from 3 different contractors. One from Marvel Home Improvements because Devin's crew had done work at my house before. Devin's estimate was in excess of $20K. Too much money.
Then I got an estimate from a Home Depot. Initially at the store I had discussed with the sales clerk about getting a certain color for the hardwood floor. When the Home Depot contractor came by my house, we decided on another color for the hardwood floor and some other things. When I went to Home Depot to pick up the quote, I saw that these changes did not appear in the quote. Not good.
My third estimate was from Buzz Bunting. Buzz evaluated all the details such as hardwood floor type, ledge next to the steps, the closet doors, and the trim. Buzz suggested slate for the front entryway and explained why. Then Buzz emailed me an invoice. I accepted it because it had everything we discussed and the cost was reasonable.
I requested that Buzz and his crew take their time in getting the job done right rather than rushing through the work. When Buzz and his floor crew had completed the two small bedrooms and hallway, Buzz was simultaneously working on shellacking the closet doors at his workshop and ordering the slate.
Then I discussed with a Buzz an additional change to the original request. I asked if he could replace the ingress door to one of the bedrooms to a sliding door. Also if he could fix the grabbing of the front door. Buzz did and updated the invoice to reflect that.
All in all it took two months to get everything completed. It has been over a year now and I am still very pleased with the results.
Still have a foyer issue; tiles that were being corrected; one is still poppoing up where I did not have an issue before; as yet to correct.

Have a concern about the warranty on the work/products he is doing. After trying to get in touch with him, I have found out he has went out of town for vacation without getting back to me.

I'm so pleased with Bunting Home Improvements. When I called for an estimate on seeing what was wrong with the drain, they went right over to the property and took care of it. I'm looking forward to having them do the rest of the work for which I was given an estimate!
Buzz was great! He was very prompt and I explained the sudden leak coming from the light fixture on the main level. He listened to all the details, asked a lot of questions, and then proceeded to check everywhere we could be having a problem. As he did this, he explained why and was very informative. He found the source of the leak in the kids' shower, then he gave me options to fix it and let me decide - no pressure, which was nice. I asked him some other questions about home improvements we need and he was extremely informative explaining different options to address my concerns. In the end, the leak was fixed with minimal damage to my home. I will definitely use Buzz again.
I called Buzz on a Friday afternoon and told him that I had a water leak behind some drywall in my basement. He agreed to come out on Saturday morning. He arrived on Saturday before 7:30 am. Prior to removing drywall, he determined that it was not a sewage leak. He then removed some drywall and found the leak in a cold water pipe due to electrolysis between the copper pipe and a nail. He then cut additional drywall to repair the leak. While he was at it, he re-routed the pipe so that it would no longer hang down below the ceiling. After soldering in the new section of pipe, he treated the mold problem caused by the leak and installed new drywall. He then mudded in the new drywall and returned the area to a paint ready state.

Buzz was very professional and the job was done beautifully. He is very good with the little details, even things that I would not have thought of. Not sure I got the best price, but his work was excellent and I would use him again.
The project was completed to my complete satisfaction. Buzz listened to my needs for the pen, and was great about suggesting ways to meet my needs, in the best way possible. The solar operated fan is an example of an innovative solution to ventilating the coop.

My husband and I wanted to have a deck added to the back of our house. We called Buzz and had him come over to discuss adding the deck. Buzz and my husband walked around the house to look at location and size. My husband also talked to Buzz about the design that would fit our needs.
The job went well overall. Buzz was out of town, on vacation while the work was being done, but he did keep in contact with us. I feel that the workers he sent out were on their own schedule.
After the deck was complete, Gary and I were very pleased. There has been some minor warping of some of the boards and Buzz has been very responsive to resolving the issue.
See attached pictures of work in progress and finished product.
Buzz is very creative at solving difficult problems. We had been having a bad problem with moisture one one side of our basement. In the past, we had spent a lot of money trying to fix it, but it was never fixed. Buzz analyzed the problem and gave us two possible solutions, recommending that we try the less expensive one first. It was very labor-intensive and very creative, and it seems to have solved the problem. Buzz also was willing to take on extra work as I thought of it, including some drywall repair and painting.
The windows were installed quickly and look great. The only downside to the whole thing was the time it took to get the windows. I originally contracted with Bunting Home Improvements on 2/28/12 to perform the work, but the installation did not occur until 4/13/12. The delay in installation was caused by the glass supplier discovering that they could not order a completed window and that a window would need to be built. I believe this delay in installation could have been averted by better communication between Bunting Home Improvements and the glass supplier. Please note I am happy with the outcome of the work.

They worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. The drywall repairs were done with great precision to the point that I cannot tell the drywall was patched.

Before presenting an estimate, Buzz walked around my house with me as I gave him a laundry list of things that needed to be fixed. He asked questions for clarification and I really like the way Buzz made suggestions but was not forceful in his approach. I didn't feel like I was being pressured into something I didn't understand or like. He sent an itemized estimate and I was able to prioritize the jobs and stay within my budget. Buzz is good about suggesting products or different ways of accomplishing what you want done and allowing you to stay within your budget. He was very patient with me as I was trying to determine what sort of product to use on the bathroom floor. He was very honest with me and told me not to have him grout a thin peel and stick tile as it wouldn't take to the grout and that I would be wasting my money and ultimately be unhappy with him when it didn't work out. After doing a little research of my own on the internet, I decided he was right and had him put the peel and stick down without grouting it. The flooring looks great without the grout, it's definitely down for the duration, and I'm very pleased. I'm very pleased with the general carpentry and painting that he and his staff did too. He and his staff were courteous and worked while on the job. They weren't outside taking smoke breaks or on a cell phone. They were very conscientious of cleaning up after themselves too. The cost of the job was more than I wanted to spend. However, after all was said and done, I think it was money well spent for the quality work and attention to detail, not only to the job but to me the customer. My dad was a plumber and I realize that Buzz is in business to make a living. He has a staff to pay and expenses to cover. Also, sometimes things aren't always as they seem until you get into a job and really see what is going on. It is better to pay for quality and know that the job is done right the first time. The bathroom cabinet drawer got stuck at some point and I couldn't get it open. Buzz came back and got it to work without extra charge which was a huge lifesaver when that's main storage for the bathroom. Buzz could be a little better with punctuality and calling to give a better idea of when to expect him, but again, he'll also go the extra distance and stop at a supplier to get the materials for you, pick up samples, look up products and find locations where they can be purchased etc. I would definitely have Buzz and his staff back to do more work.

Outstanding! Buzz made two different trips to ensure he had measurements correct for his estimate and sizing of the windows which required special ordering as the size was not identical (older house). His estimation with the work changes (ours) increased the length of time to complete the job, but he was accurate in his assessment of how long to complete the work (12-14 businesss days). His crew of men came in daily, always completing their work and cleaning the workspace prior to leaving at the end of the day. Buzz went over in detail the contract (emailed it for viewing), and then we later signed in agreement to finalize. We have two dogs, and Buzz was very accommodating to take up and bring down the required scaffolding for the stairs heading to the basement on a daily basis until that portion of the job was done for the renovation of the hallway He called periodically to provide feedback if I had questions. He offered up various options in the free estimate for different ways to perform the work allowing for our request and his experience to help us come to a decision. Never pressured a decision, just offered feedback. We chose the paint, but his crew did the painting. He performed a final walkthrough as we discussed, which we found one considerabe, and two small items which he came back the following day to fix himself to ensure the job was done to our satisfaction. I will use his services again in the future, which I plan to do with other basement windows.

They were able to do the work really quick after the initial estimate. They had to get more dirt and they did not charge me extra for it. I have recommended him already and I will use him again in the future.

WE agreed upon a Dec. 26 start date. The workman didn't arrive on that date and failed to give a phone call or an email. When my wife called Bunting she was told one of the workman was sick and the job couldn't be started until Thurs, Dec. 29. Again the worked didn't show up. Finally after much discussion the agreed upon date was to be Tuesday, Jan. 3. I paid $562 (1/2 of the estimate cost) and work began with the block window to be installed at a later date. Coming home that night I was informed by the one worked that he had broken one lamp of a four light bathroom light fixture. He went to Home Depot to try to replace the lamp to no avail. Bunting agreed to replace the lamp. On the day the glass blocks were to be installed the worker didn't show up. I was informed that he was sick but Mr. Bunting would show up. His associate showed up instead to complete the work. Mr. Bunting called that day and informed me that it wasn'rt his worker's fault that the lamp was broken and therefore wasn't tBunting's responisiblity. I didn't agreed but just wanted these clowns out of tmy house and agreed the to measely $25 credit against the final bill. I now have to replace the whole 4-lamp fixture at my cost. I will never use Bunting Home Improvements again and will advise anyone who asking not to too.

The work went well and was finished in approximately 6 hours. He brought a crew of four guys plus himself. He coordinated the work of the four guys and made sure they had the supplies needed. He did the final inspection.
