Work was done to my expectations & beyond. Ben & Jesse helped me decide how to best approach the repairs & that made my $$$ go as far as possible. Work started on time and the job was finished on time. The quality of the workmanship was excellent---from demo to cleanup everyday to new drywall/mudding to painting and finish carpentry. I had new floors installed. To be honest, there was a problem with how the upstairs bathroom floor was installed. I was not happy and after they looked at the job, they agreed with me. New materials were ordered and installed perfectly within several weeks. I think that is what impresses me about this company. So many times contractors blow off an older woman. I've been treated so poorly by other companies. Not this company. When there was a problem with that flooring, they wanted to make things right and have me be satisfied. They never talked down to me or made me feel like my requests were outlandish. I couldn't be happier.

My review is based on both the extensive work completed and the as-of-yet unattended to correction that has been promised. I plan on editing this review if/when the mistakes are corrected. I contacted Ben, the owner, about fixing my kitchen. A dishwasher had leaked for several years causing extensive mold damage. The damage was so bad that it had ruined the siding on the outside of the house behind the dishwasher. The tiled floor had been raised for a heated floor by a previous owner which caused removal of the dishwasher to be a process of cutting the actual appliance out, since there was no room under the granite countertops to remove by sliding out. Originally, Ben gave a reasonable estimate on the work of removing the dishwasher and fixing the damage both inside the kitchen and on the outside of the house (after a mold remediation by a different company). Upon the successful removal of the dishwasher, which Ben did personally, the amount of damage brought about the realization of a much more extensive job necessary. He readjusted the estimate, totally fair. It was ugly damage. The new plan called for the granite counters to be raised up and suspended in order to remove an entire cabinet that would need to be remediated and/or replaced. The shape of the kitchen and workspace did not allow for this to happen. Instead Ben and his assistant completely removed the counter and moved it out of the kitchen. This process took a full day as they took pains to ensure the safety of the granite. I was impressed with his meticulous attention to detail in the removal. The mold guy (which I will also review) came in and, over an afternoon, successfully removed the mold. The cabinet was so damaged that it would need to be completely replaced, except for the facing which would allow for it to remain matching the rest of the kitchen. Ben spent another half day building a cabinet to the exact specifications of the previous one. It was reinstalled. The siding was repaired as well, and while not perfect, it was sufficient enough for me to still be ok with it. The granite countertop was brought in to re-set on the new cabinet. To be clear, this segment of the counters was a corner angle as well as a sink-surrounding piece. As Ben and his coworker were setting it in place it broke. It didn't just fracture, but it had a break all the way through, on the front and back side of the sink cutout. Ben was honest and clear about the break and said that he would make it right. He gave me options on the fix. I decided to have him fix it temporarily and see how it looked. He got it reinstalled. He also reinstalled the garbage disposal and sink. The sink had some sealant issues that Ben had to fix several times. He also tried to restore the joint between the granite slabs, but the gap was bigger and much more easily seen, as well as chipped. The crack was also filled and evened out. A few of the tiles on the backsplash were damaged as well, something that couldn't be immediately fixed. So the job was nearly complete if I was satisfied. The problem was that the crack was pretty obvious, and when I go to sell my house in the future, a buyer would definitely notice the flaws on the counter and the backsplash. I told Ben this would need to have that corrected. He offered to pay for an entire new countertop, because he admitted the fault was his, and very professionally looked to keep the integrity of his own company clean, since he is a small business. He agreed to contact another contractor to install a new granite countertop because it wouldn't be able to matched in just one portion. He also stated that the tile backsplash would be fixed. I appreciated his honesty and paid the man in full, with the idea that he would cover the costs of the future new counter and backsplash. I understood that it would take a few weeks for him to build up some capital to be able to afford the cost of the replacement and labor. So it has been 3 months now. Ben contacted me about 3 weeks after the job was finished to briefly update me on his search for a replacement counter. Since then however, no company has called me about the new counters. Ben is a small business owner and I know he has a bottom line to maintain to stay in business. He is very knowledgable and personable. It was a mistake/accident that happened after great care was taken to avoid it. But it is still a cracked countertop I have with no solution now being discussed. I hope that this will get fixed and that I will be able to edit this review to reflect that portion of the job. In the meantime I will recommend his work with a giant asterisk, that he hasn't followed through on his guarantee of costumer satisfaction. I have many other projects to work around my house on so I am also hopeful to rehire "B and W" for some of those jobs, but until the counter/backsplash issue is remedied I will begin to look elsewhere. I will also attempt to change the question "Would you hire again" from "No" to "Yes" if the countertop gets replaced successfully.

Everything they’ve done has been completed on time and correctly. They cleanup and leave the area the way they found it. When my sump pump quit working they were able to come out the same day. The entire crew is very nice with a wide range of skills. Ben, the owner, is very easy to work with and makes sure the job has been completed as expected. I highly recommend B&W for any projects around your home

Awesome work! The first time they came, they said they'd be out at a certain time, and I was so used to people not showing when they said they would that I ran out for a 10-minute errand and missed them! (They came back!) They are so nice and so punctual.

The crew arrived on time and explained to me very clearly how they’re going to fix the problem before starting working on it. Very professional and reasonable price! I would highly recommend them to others!

I’ve had Jesse out twice- he secured my undermount sink and caulked it, stabilized a pedestal sink and caulked, caulked a shower, painted an interior window, and helped plan out future project lists to chop away at our “to-do” list. The price is great, the company responds right away to my text messages (I love that I can text instead of call or e-mail), and everything is done on time and quickly.

They came out on a 2 hr Angie List deal. It was actually a bit more involved so it took about 3 hours. The extra hour was quite reasonable. Same hourly rate as the deal allowed. They fixed a couple of faucets and a leak that were quite difficult. I had looked at it myself and decided to pass and get professional help.

Great! The quote allotted for a full days work and it only took them 5 hours to complete! Very courteous and reasonable price. I thought the quality of work was great.

Ben knew immediately what was wrong and proceeded to replace garbage disposal. He was tidy, mopping up water, cleaned up any mess and worked quickly and efficiently!

Prompt competent service at a reasonable price. Mary seems always able to schedule service when I need it. Capable of handling most jobs around our properties.

They have been really great at working with our vision, adaptable, smart, efficient and speaks in terms that are easy to understand and provides excellent work quality. I really appreciate that they do not overwhelm you with info or questions and makes the process really easy and understandable.

They were professional, ontime, easy to work with, go straight to work without any break and I recommend this company and will use them again. Did an excellent job on everything.

A section of my kitchen ceiling was caving in to the point insulation was visible. He fixed it, painted it, and you couldn't tell there had ever been anything wrong with it. Very friendly and professional.

The guys did exactly what needed to be done at a reasonable price. They had to call both times to say they were running late but, things happen, and I appreciated them letting me know.

Called them up one day and they came out the next. They called to confirm, got here when they said they would, answered all out questions, were professional, and the quality of their work was great. When the need arises again we will definitely call them again.
