How did it go? Perfectly! Unlike your typical contractor, Rob arrived 10 minutes EARLY! He went right to work, was thorough, professional, courtesy and very knowledgeable. Gave us very good recommendations on how to fix our issue economically. Gave us good information on what to look for in a contractor to do the actual work. Would I recommend him? You bet!

Very well. Mr. Wilfong not only inspected my home but he helped me understand why these items needed to be replaced/repaired and gave me a time line for when they should be replaced. I always felt like he was looking out for my best interest. He followed up to make sure the re inspection was completed and gave me piece of mind. In a flash he donned coveralls, and inspected the attic for all ventilation, HVAC and wiring codes. He gave a detailed briefing on the state and quality of all three (he was impressed with how well the workmanship was and this gave me a confidence moving forward to make an offer). He was able to locate a portion of the foundation that settled and could cause flooding in heavy rain for the garage.There was no issue with the brick structure but I totally missed this in my visual inspection. He also found a small water leak in one corner of the home that could have turned out really bad. But it was a minor and recent leak. He determined the age of the HVAC unit itself at 12 years old and that the windows, though double pane, were aluminum clad and likely not very efficient. Sadly, based on his inspection findings I had to pass on the home. The owner did not want to take into consideration the replacement costs for the items in questions and actually wanted a premium over assessed value. Robert helped me make the decision to follow logic and not my heart. I really wanted this house. I wanted it to check out clean or reasonably good. When Robert explained the potential cost of replacing the HVAC unit I knew the price the of the house was stretching my limits.
