Kevin handled a number of construction and home repair projects, and they all turned out wonderful. New entryway, finished basement bathroom and laundry room, painted ceilings, and other jobs. He’s a talented, hardworking pro who knows his craft.

Kevin and his crew were super. They were punctual and clean. They listened to our needs and changes without complaint and finished on time and on budget. Kevin helped us to pick out good quality cabinets at a fair price and took us to choose our granite counter tops. He is very comfortable to work with. He will answer all your questions and make suggestions that you may or may not follow but he is good with whatever you choose. Kevin is honest and very capable. Our kitchen and basement laundry room turned out great! Thanks for a great experience Kevin!

Kevin and his team did a wonderful job. We started out with our main bath remodel. We then went ahead and did our kitchen. They did a great job cleaned up at the end of each day. Were done with job In a timely manner. Since then I have had Kevin come back and do some handyman things around my house. I highly recommend him and his crew!!

In about three months at the end of 2018, Byrne Construction Services essentially gave us a brand 'new' house -- retaining the advantages of an older home located in a spacious, quiet, well-established neighborhood. My husband and I could not be more pleased with the results. If you are looking for a General Contractor you can trust, someone with the skills and experience to deliver top quality work at a fair price, Kevin Byrne is your man. -- This review is in two parts: (1) What makes Kevin Byrne and his team stand out from the rest; and (2) Details of the work they did for us. - - First, an Introduction -- I initially contacted Kevin Byrne after reading reviews of his work on Angie's List. My husband and I were in the process of buying a different home, which turned out to have a mold problem. The week of closing, the sellers sent an e-mail to us, the attorneys, and the agents reporting that all of the mold remediation had been completed and the wet and contaminated insulation in the attic had been replaced, as repeatedly promised in writing over the previous several weeks. Still, I wanted to be certain the work had been done and asked Kevin on very short notice if he could help. He attended the pre-closing walk-through with me and, with permission, used his ladder to check the premises. No mold remediation had been done. It was an inch thick and the smell was horrible. All of the old insulation was still there. Kevin explained to me the risks involved, given his years of experience as both a contractor and, in the past, as a home inspector. In that unique and unusual situation, my husband and I felt it was in our best interest to abandon the transaction. Kevin saved us -- out of the goodness of his heart. And we moved on to the far superior property that I am writing about today. --- (1) What makes Kevin Byrne and his team stand out from the rest - As the Intro above illustrates, Kevin Byrne cares. Even about a perfect stranger. As a General Contractor, he is meticulously honest, personable, and hard-working. He is budget conscious and discusses the cost of various options whether you think to ask or not. For each project, he listens to the homeowner's ideas and offers cost-effective, creative ways to achieve them. He has fresh perspectives in both design and execution. The bottom line, I think, is that he simply wants the client to be happy with the result. I suspect this may keep him awake at night, sometimes. He is that conscientious. - -Kevin has the skills and experience that have brought him a significant volume of work over the years, and as a result, he knows who the best tradesmen are and, after running complete background checks on each and every one, he hires them. I actually witnessed someone trying to poach Kevin's absolutely brilliant lead-builder while he was working at our house. He was offered the moon, but Lee would have none of it. He was on Kevin's team, period. When you hire a highly skilled and honest man like Kevin, you get the highly skilled and honest tradesmen he attracts as well. Everyone who worked at our house -- the builders, plumbers, electricians, wood-workers, and painters -- did an excellent job. Kevin and Lee have exacting standards. If something did not seem quite right, Kevin or Lee had the work re-done -- long before the homeowner came around. They were personally invested in the job. -- (2) Details of the work they did - - Lighting was important to us. When the electricians began work, they discovered that the wiring in the house was not up to code. So Kevin had all of the electrical work overhauled, as a matter of safety, before beginning the lighting. He installed glare-free recessed lighting, with silent dimmer switches, in 8 rooms and an upstairs hallway. In 4 of those rooms, he and Lee also built tray ceilings with soft LED up-lighting hidden by moulding. Once it was all painted just so, the effect was stunning. It was all their doing... I just watched it unfold beautifully.- -All of the original oak flooring throughout the house was sanded and stained, then three coats of polyurethane applied. The color of the stain was just perfect and enhanced the grain. Every inch of flooring looked fabulous, even inside the closets. - -All of the interior doors were replaced. This turned out to be a bit of a challenge in places because many door frames were no longer square and remedial steps had been taken in prior years that were not helpful. Rather than make do, Kevin and Lee painstakingly corrected these problems before the new doors were hung. The difference was striking. -- An entirely new kitchen was installed, with the refinished oak flooring: new, reinforced cabinets to the ceiling with lovely moulding, an island with cooktop, all new plumbing and gas lines, polished granite countertops, and all new appliances -- ordered by Kevin to get the best possible price and fully installed. The refrigerator appeared to have its own custom-cabinet! -- A new MBR bathroom, with walk-in shower and glass sliding doors, glossy porcelain tile with mosaic accent, new plumbing and fixtures, new vanity, fan, and lighting. -- One of the most awesome projects was turning a large bedroom into a library/study for my professor husband. Kevin suggested the design and Vito did the wood-working. He constructed beautiful oak bookshelves to cover every inch of wallspace, floor to ceiling, with fine detailed work on the mouldings, trim, and other features. Yet each shelf was thick and ready to be filled with weighty volumes. It was a work of art. The stain complemented, without matching, the floor beautifully. My husband still can't get over it. Even the electrical outlets were cleverly placed so as to be unseen. -- Wallpaper was removed and the entire was freshly painted, repairs being made where necessary. The place gently glows. However, at the start, I made a big mistake when I first chose paint colors. Before things got too far along, I asked to re-do the work in a better color. I felt stupid and so guilty for asking. But Ramone, the head of the painting team, was reassuring and kind. Only later did I find out that the painters had worked several nights until 2am, without a word, to make up for my mistake and still stay on schedule. -- In progress is the finishing of our basement. We have chosen not to add a BR or bath there. Kevin and his team have done fireblocking, framed the walls, installed installation, put in new electrical wiring and lighting, and begun to put up the drywall. -- Perhaps this is a sign of our confidence and satisfaction with Byrne Construction, but we have also asked them to turn our screen porch in back into an all-seasons sunroom, connected to our existing HVAC system. ---- From township permit applications and inspections, to door knobs and light bulbs, our renovation has involved minimal effort on our part and virtually no worries -- thanks to Byrne Construction Services.

Kevin and his team did a fantastic job remodeling my kitchen. I had a complete remodel done. They gutted the kitchen and completely reinstalled new flooring, cabinets, backsplash, recessed lighting, and coutnertops. Kevin was very helpful along the way, taking me shopping to help pick out the right finishes, and worked to get me good prices. They did not go over budget - I paid exactly what I was quoted. They did extras along the way - fixing the electrical in the kitchen, adding a wine shelf for me, and removing ~5 layers of previous flooring that had not been removed. Kevin and his team (Lee and Ennio) were friendly, polite, and reliable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area. I'm so happy with my new kitchen! Note: the picture I uploaded is not the finished result, but you can see how beautiful the kitchen turned out!

I can't say enough good things about this company! Kevin Byrne and his crew (Ennio and Lee) were courteous, professional and punctual. Every text message I sent to Kevin was responded to within minutes. Every voice message I left was returned within 24 hours. When I ran into issues with the showroom, Kevin stepped in and spoke to them on our behalf. He looked for ways to save us money. The work that his crew did was outstanding. They showed up on time every day. They kept us informed. They offered us great solutions to some of the construction issues that unexpectedly came up during the project. I was told the project would take 3 weeks - and it took 3 weeks - no delays or problems. Bottom line - this is a top notch company that I would hire again without hesitation. I give them and A+++. Thanks Kevin for putting the customer first!

Kevin and his two craftsman were amazing. We were originally just doing a kitchen remodel but after seeing his work we continued on to the laundry room and then to the living room. His team is always on time and are conscientious and meticulous. We are so please with the quality of the work and his pricing is competitive with the other contractors we interviewed. We will have him back in several months to do additional work.

We needed to completely remodel our master bath. Kevin and his team did an excellent job on the master bath. He was professional, extremely neat and completed the project on time, within the price that was quoted. He was patient with our questions and when we were a little unsure about some of our design decisions; and importantly always worked to fix any small little things that needed to be corrected. Our new bathroom looks fantastic. We definitely have a few other projects that we would like to use him for and we look forward to working with him again in the future.

Byrne Construction is fantastic! The Byrne team is professional highly skilled craftsman. Kevin's estimate for the project was through and clear. He reviewed all phases of the project and the timeline before starting the job and made sure all of our questions were answered. Kevin checked in on a regular basis to make sure the project was meeting expectations. The staff was courteous and took care to make sure areas outside of the work area were protected. The new bathroom looks great. I highly recommend Byrne Construction.

Is it possible that a bathroom renovation can be a pleasant experience? Our experience with Byrne Construction made me almost wish we had more bathrooms to renovate. They were everything you hope a contractor will be. They handled the entire project and all I had to do was the fun stuff of picking out the tile, etc. Each day when they were done, everything was cleaned up, so it didn't look like we were renovating at all. They were on time, pleasant and kept me informed about every aspect of the job. The price was very reasonable and they were worth every penny. I highly recommend them.

Kevin and team were nice to work with, good people. The remodel went well, except for some finishing work. Overall the bathroom is nice, just these finishing issues that make me hesitate to fully recommend. The new bathroom door was installed, but the trim work isn't quite right. Spackling was not done very well; I had to sand it. His plumber didn't install the tub spout tightly and when I went to tighten it, I discovered that it couldn't be installed properly. (so instead of telling me that so that I could replace it with another style, the plumber left it) The tile work by Top Notch Tile was done very nicely, except now I have to get the corners caulked because the grout cracked and they are unresponsive because I am "too far". If you live close to Top Notch Tile, I would use them, since you would be close enough that they could come back and repair any issues you might have. I would recommend Kevin if he brought in a carpenter and professional drywall installer to do those aspects of the work.

Kevin Byrne and his team remodeled two bathrooms for me two years ago and did a wonderful job so when it came time for updating my kitchen and powder room I called him again. They arrived when they said they would, were very professional and I was very comfortable letting the team work alone in my home. Kevin negotiated with the various vendors and got me a great price on flooring, cabinets, the granite countertop, vanity, etc. They did a beautiful job and I plan to use them again soon to put in a new fireplace and built-in bookshelves. During the time they were working on my kitchen I had an unrelated issue with the main plumbing pipe that ran from my house to the street. The plumber that I contacted wanted $13,000 to fix the pipe. Kevin suggested he was trying to take advantage of me and not to hire him. Kevin was able to find a plumber he has worked with before, who he knew to be honest and the job cost me $4400, thus saving me almost $8600. I would definitely recommend Byrne Construction.

Kevin and his wonder team of Ennio and Lee were extremely professional, amazing craftsmen, and an all around delight! We live in a double house that was built in the 1850's and last renovated in the 80's. Kevin and team actually had to strip the bathroom to the studs, remake the stairs, and level the downstairs floors. We firmly believe that any other contractor would have told us what we wanted was not possible. What we now have is a bathroom from a design magazine and a home that is beautiful and bright! We are so proud of our "new" home and truly thankful that Kevin answered our call last winter! Next project for Kevin and team in our home is replacing the roof! We would definitely recommend Kevin to anyone!

Kevin redesigned the bathroom to make it look bigger and more open. Kevin provided drawings needed for the permits and handled the permit process with the town. He did a good job with the estimate, he knew the sub floor and plumbing would need to be replaced. He didn't provide me with a low estimate only to nickel and dime me later. Both Kevin and his worker Lee were professionals and were a pleasure to have in my home. I'm so pleased with their work I'm having them replace the floor and counter tops in my kitchen.

We hired Kevin of Byrne Construction to remodel our small 1950s bathroom. He didn't offer the lowest quote but after meeting him, we thought he would be the best combination of price and quality. We were right. From the onset, Kevin was honest about any and all challenges that we likely would face in trying to do what we wanted in a bathroom with limited space. He offered alternatives and was very upfront when we needed to consider other options, even inviting us to his home to see how he had remodeled his own bathroom. Working with our town was difficult, to put it extremely mildly, but Kevin soldiered through, advocating for the project whenever and however he could. In the process, some plumbing issues were discovered and Kevin had them remedied immediately, even doing some work for no additional charge. Each morning, Kevin and/or Lee arrived promptly and got to work. They cleaned up as best they could each evening (cleaning up construction dust is just a futile exercise until you're completely done) Because of the permitting issues with the town, the project took longer than anticipated, but the finished product was fully worth the wait. In the end, he replaced the tub with an oversized walk in shower, complete with soaker showered, handheld and body sprays, a custom double sink, new toilet, recessed lighting and ventilation fan, barn door, and updated electrical outlets. He was able to maximize our very limited space to create a bathroom that we love. Working with Kevin and his crew was a total pleasure and we would not (and have not) hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to do a full scale remodeling.

The kitchen was very outdated and Mr. Byrne made great suggestions on how to modernize and make the room more appealing to potential buyers. Mr. Byrne and his crew did quality work at a fair price. I was also impressed with the care they took in my home and how they left everything clean and spotless when the job was complete. I would hire Mr. Byrne again in the future.

My first experience with Kevin Byrne was when I found myself in an emergency situation. I provide childcare in my home and we discovered an issue under the floor. I called Kevin, he was on his way to a jobsite and coincidentally was only minutes away from my home. He was booked with work, however, when I explained our situation he came right over to check it out. From the time I made the phone call to him pulling into my driveway was less than 5 minutes!!! He immediately made some phone calls. We had a dumpster in our driveway the very next morning and the situation fully resolved (ripping up and replacing the entire floor) within 2 days!! Needless to say we were extremely grateful and thrilled with the work. We knew that we had some work that we would be doing and when we were ready we went straight to Kevin. In February, he gutted and completely replaced a bathroom and did a beautiful job!! He is always very professional, respectful, and CLEAN beyond our expectations, he works hard to keep the work area neat and affect the rest of the house as little as possible. He has great ideas, a wonderful sense of design and style and is always working to keep the bottom line down without sacrificing workmanship or quality. We are currently in the process of planning a huge renovation of our kitchen/living room/ dining room (basically an entire first floor open concept) . Kevin has made what could be very stressful - fun and dare- I -say...even easy. He makes experienced recommendations and is patient with my (sometimes crazy) ideas and always replies promptly to any emails, texts, or phone calls. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BYRNE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

The basement came out very nice. The quality of workmanship is very high. The communication was great. We had a conversation every morning and evening.
