C2 Consolidations

The installation went well, the problem is that the screw the used to put the deadbolt in the door with were there own screws and were much longer than the screws that came with the door. In addition, these screws that were there own, were and are defective. The door dead bolt area was starting to swell and making the door and lock to function properly. I started to take out the screws that they put in there with with a had screw driver and turned it 2 - 3 times and the screw head broke off! I then proceeded to take out the bottom screw of the dead bolt area which had a different screw shorter and smaller screw and did so. Upon my inspection of where this screw was, as it was just above another screw that was in the door and this screw looks very much to be like the scerw that broke off the top area that I did. I think that upon installation they broke off the bottom screw on installation and then put the other screw in there. They new they broke off the bottom screw and tried to cover their tracks. In addition, how can the next homeowner or me change out this deal bolt if the screws are broken off where they need to go in the door. To further complicate that matter the screw that were used to put the metal plate of the lock in the door frame itself, I believe was put in with these same screw and if you or I were to try to take off that metal plate they would break off.

Fellow contractor here... I usually end up doing everything or mostly everything myself due to lack of skill and professional competence here in Florida. Everyone claims they do "high end" work. Lmfao. It is unfortunate most of you have already experienced this. This was not the case with C2.
