Caceres Construction

Mr. Caceres submitted an estimate for $3892,24 to complete the scope of repair. We issued payment of 50% of the estimate on March 7, 2023 so that work could begin. Mr. Caceres brought in workers that he told us he was training, and he left the site. His team began with pulling up the floors, etc. There were numerous days that neither the team nor Mr. Caseres called to advise they would be late or unable to come, just no-showed. At some point he returned and said he would need additional funds as the repair was more extensive so we made another payment of $900.00. Mr. Caceres continued to no show giving us multiple excuses (work on another site was more involved, his kids were sick, he was moving, his truck broke down etc). When we began to threaten with legal action he would call back and return but would again leave with work undone saying his team would be back. He again asked for additional funds as he said he was unable to pay his workers. We reluctantly made an additional payment of $500.00 in an effort to get the job completed. When the workers left the last time, we called Mr. Caceres pointing out the shabby work and he said he would return to take a look at it. He did return on March 23, 2023 and reviewed the work advising he would have to get additional flooring and again requested additional funds. He was paid $500.00. We never saw him again. We called repeatedly and left messages, as the calls would go directly to voicemail. He called back one time saying the flooring was on back order and he would call to schedule a time to come out once he received the order. That was in May. We have not hear from him since then and his voicemail is blocked. As it remains, the texture on the downstairs ceiling is missing and the ceiling remains unpainted. The walls behind both toilets are unfinished. The flooring in both bathrooms was poorly installed with gaps in between the flooring and the walls that show up to an inch of white adhesive and caulking and the master bathroom still has open, exposed subflooring. I can provide photos of the mess he left.

I live in a manufactured home, and they had framers lay in a load bearing structure to hold up to 2400 pounds. Did not even have to disturb the flooring! SO happy to have found them, and at a great price! The "shelldren" will be happy with their new large tank in the near future!

We hired Mr. Caceres to add on a bedroom and bathroom to our existing house. He came out and seemed really great, honest and straightforward. With our budget of $74,000 he assured us we could do the addition plus do some remodeling. We agreed, but unfortunately didn’t sign a contract. His business manager later said he would send one but never did. We started on June 26, 2022. We are currently still not finished. Mr. Caceres took the final payments from us in September and assured us he’d be done in 2 more weeks. It’s now almost the end of the year and he still hasn’t held up his end of the bargain. He sends workers sporadically, if at all, and we have been having to buy all the materials that he was supposed to have purchased with our $74,000. I’m not sure what he’s spent it on instead because he was pawning tools to buy more supplies back in September and tells us that he cannot send workers because he can’t afford to pay them. He also failed to pull permits with the city that we live in (that he put in the budget) so we have that extra worry on top of everything else. He’s extremely irresponsible and very distasteful to work with. He uses his status as a veteran to imply that he’s honest but he’s the furthest thing from it. At this point we are just hoping he finishes the project because we have paid him all the money we agreed upon and have held up our end of the bargain. But I don’t want him to do this to anyone else.

The project was completed to our satisfaction! He followed through with a walk through with us to make sure everything was as expected. We'd definitely rehire Caceres Construction for future projects.

Excellent quality fence. Eric was a pleasure to work with. He immediately addressed any concerns I had and made sure I was satisfied.

The project started out bad with a post in concrete that was not level. The owner then had health issues that precluded completion for two months. It was, however, completed to my satisfaction.
