She is the consultant there. She did a great job. She come to your home and draws up blue prints of what you want. SHe come back and shows you what she designed with a power point. She actually deducted the price because of the job. They are very reasonable and she is very punctual. I thought the price was fair.

We have a 90 year old house with limited storage and small closets. Crystal came to our house and did a great job listening to our needs and designed a system to maximize our space. She was very helpful and understanding of our end goal. Crystal ensured that the install date was scheduled at a convenient time for me and my young family. Trent, the installer, was very professional, kind and courteous. Prompt and efficient, too. Left the closet space cleaner than when he began! I am thrilled with my layout and the flexibility to change rods/shelves/drawers. Could not be an easier or more pleasant process start to finish. We will definitely have them return to work on our remaining closets. Rated Good for price as we had received a slightly cheaper quote from a former California Closets franchise. Decided it was worth the extra money to go with the Authorized Californial Closet retailer and know that I would have someone to help me later on with accessories and additional closets. This franchise is based out of Wheeling, IL with a show room in Brookfield, WI.

Stopped by retail store to look around. Store had designer contact me. I met the designer, explained what I wanted. She made a rough sketch of the bedroom closet before she left. She sent me completed sketches for both rooms within a couple of days. Once I approved the sketches, Cal Closets contacted me to set up installation. Installation was done quickly and professionally. The installer cleaned up the area and finished in the time frame.

We used California Closets in our home in Chicago and were so pleased with the service and the product that when we needed to have closets redone in our next home we went to them again (this time in Wheeling). They promptly returned my call and set up a meeting with a designer to get the process rolling. This is where the problems started. We had a very difficult time with the designer... Getting him to listen to our needs and return designs in a timely manner. We called corporate to express our concerns and the designer started to respond and get the job done. Ultimately we got what we wanted and have been very happy with the design and the product, but it was a difficult process getting there.

Very well. They came when they said they would. The tore out the existing wire shelving and discarded. They cleaned up after themselves. It didn't take that long. It is a really solid, high-quality product. I am actually thinking about having them organize two more closets for me.

Company installed cabinet for a "built-in" nook. There were gaps on each side of the installation and the cabinet was not flush to the wall to fit properly. They told me that if I wanted to pay them extra money they would fix the gap problem. I do not feel that I should have to pay for the job that was not completed properly in the first place. The work was shoddy and they have not handled this problem professionally. All they have said is that they are sorry for the miscommunication of the cabinet. California Closets had already charged me a good amount of money the first time around and I do not feel that I should have to pay more money for a job they never completed correctly in the first place. Mr. Harrison began to make assumption that I wanted the job done for free. That was not my intention, I wanted the job completed to my satisfaction of what I thought was the original design and price.

"California Closets was contracted to build and install "as drawn" plans that were approved and signed by the client, they did not include built-in requirements. Final production plans show our 1/2" tolerance on them and that no fillers were to be included on sides or top of system. We offered to waive any labor and expenses involved with this matter but asked client to pay for the cost of special ordered trim molding that she is requesting. Client has refused to do so and fails to realize that these trim pieces were not part of her design and were not charged for in her price of $1616.00. The built-in look she is seeking is possible only if these extra trim pieces are used due to inconsistencies in the walls and would have been included in plans had it been discussed prior to installation. The cost of these materials would have been included in client's original proposal and contract amount would have been higher than $1616.00. We would like to resolve this issue for the client and give her the look she is seeking but client is unwilling to see that she got exactly what she paid for. Client's request after the installation was done could have been planned for and fabricated ahead of time if it was ever discussed and expectations outside of our normal procedure were discussed or mentioned."

Installation of the three closets took a half day (morning to early afternoon), including the removal of the old wire shelving system. Installers left nothing behind and cleaned up well. Everything was installed as designed and as expected. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations.
