California Comfort Air Conditioning and Heating

They service was fast, reasonably priced and they were very knowledgeable.

During a heat wave we came home after being away for several days to an unresponsive AC unit. We called California Comfort first thing in the morning. Chris already had several repairs booked but he promised he would come before the day was out. He kept his promise, arrived at 6:30 pm and in 15 minutes had our AC unit up and running. To top it off when he found out we were new to SoCal and Riverside, he spent several minutes visiting and sharing his list of things to enjoy in the area. He was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We will definitely hire him again if and when the need arises.

<p>Air conditioner went out today (8/7/15).   Called and repairmen were out quickly. They went right to work and found the problem and made the repairs.  Quick, efficient and very clear about the repairs. Aces to Chris and his associate!</p> <br />

I was very impressed. I called California comfort because the air conditioner went out at our rental house and the tenants have children with special needs and needed it fixed ASAP. Chris was just finishing another job and rushed over to my rental only minutes after I called him. He was very nice, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond the call of duty to advise and assist our regular AC guy when he arrived. This was my first call to California Comfort and it will not be my last. I highly recommend California Comfort and will definitely be using them again in the future. <br />

From the time I called, Chris was at my house within an hour, and had it fixed quickly.  It would have been really quick, except we got into a conversation about people we both knew and interests we both enjoyed.  He also gave me a couple of maintenance tips to help me keep my AC working as long as possible.  I appreciate that!  <br />

<p>Thermostat screen went blank-furnace and A/C wouldn't come on</p> <p>Chris arrived within 1 hour of my call and checked the furnace first. He found a blown fuse and no power to low voltage wires inside the unit. He then checked the thermostat and found it was no longer working. Chris replaced the fuses and the thermostat with a similar unit and tested the entire system. He then checked my A/C unit for Freon levels and found and repaired a wire that had come loose. </p> <p>Chris was very pleasant to work with and explained what he was checking and why as he went along. He explained how the new thermostat worked and provided me with both the installation and operating manuals. Great service!  </p> <br />

Sent email through anigies list site, he called right away on a Sunday night - tried to help me fix my thermostat since it was only a year 1/2 old but we could not.  Did tell me he had a job in san diego that week.  since it was nothing major decided to wait since the reviews were good and he seemed honest.  finally was able to pick a good day, called letting me know he was on his way, showed up and first looked at my thermostat but it was broke, replaced with new one right away.  Explained how it worked also checked my filters and let me know where I could buy replacement ones at a good price.  Was quick, very friendly and professional.  Also does electrical work which I need so I will be calling in the future. <br />

Chis and his son came out to assess and give a quote but he found damage to the condenser.  He replaced the condenser and demonstrated that it was working outside but the air coming from the vents in the house was still warm.  So he determined that the coil  would also need to be replaced.  Chris explained the steps to be taken and why it was needed.  They worked hard in very hot conditions and were very professional.  They cleaned up the work site before leaving. <br />

Perfect.   Gave us a quote we thought fair, came in did the work quickly. clean and neat quality work and nice people.  HAd the AC in now though a hot summer, never realized before just how poorly installed the original ac was. California comfort properly balanced system and every room in the house is at the right temp, not hot or cold spots.    <br /> when we needed to call them out for a simple issue after install, they were here quickly & resolved the issue. <br /> I have recommended them to others and would use them again <br />

Friendly, excellent service. Called twice to let me know he was on the way, arrived on time.  Luckily it didn't need a major repair, but he did advise me on cleaning filters and coils.  When he saw my neighbor's A/C was dirty, he went over to let her know what she needed to do (for free!)  Great experience!  I will definitely call Chris the next time! <br />

Chris Williams from California Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating was prompt, courteous, friendly and most importantly, honest and thorough. He was able to fix a clogged drainage pipe that goes to the outside of the house and also got the compressor unit to work properly by cleaning it. I had another company out that wanted to install a whole new drainage system and do other things like changing my duct work that was not necessary at all.. I had been told that the compressor was not dirty and Chris showed me that it was indeed extremely dirty thereby inhibiting air flow. Chris saved me from the heat of summer as well as saving me,, literally. thousands of dollars!!! I was extremely pleased with the work in all respects and would absolutely use his services again!! <br />  I very highly recommend Chris Williams and his company California Comfort <br />

Right in the middle of the scorching heat wave, my air conditioning went down last Wednesday.  I tried calling  places for a couple of days but the soonest they could come out was the following Tuesday! I  tried one last time and called California Comfort, even though it was farther from my house than all the others. Chris Williams answered the phone and said he was just finishing a service and would call me right back, and did. I told him my problem. He knew exactly what was wrong and (best part of all!!) walked me through a simple fix to actually get the unit working until he could come out the next day. I was so grateful after sweltering for three days!  When he arrived promptly the next morning, he was friendly and professional, and got right to work. In under an hour, the whole thing was finished. Chris even went the extra mile and got up on a ladder and changed the air filter for me. Talk about great service! <br /> No need to call around ever again. I am going to rely on California Comfort for all my heating and A/C needs from now on. <br />

  We have tried to repair a couple of time to save the replacement cost but this was the choice. We had a little trouble of a few days till I heard from Chris, being the temps were high at that time and he was pretty busy. When we did connect and see a quick fix again would not work. then we discussed what the cost was for a new 3 1/2 ton unit. The price was reasonable when first we talked and agreed on, till Chris called back and said he could give a $500.00 discount special they were running which was like winning the lottery. He was able to come out a couple of days later and installed it. <br />      He's honest ,and efficient and I may never need to use him again, but do call him for your a/c needs. I,ve used Chris before and tell anyone who needs a/c service to give California Comfort Air a call. He's as honest as they come which is hard to believe with contractors.He cares for customers and tries to save you money and do the job correctly.Great guy, give them a call for their services,you won't be disappointed.... <br /> <br />

I left a message for Chris of California Comfort in the afternoon and he called me back within minutes. He asked me to do a few checks on the equipment so that he could get an idea of the extent of the problem, and made an appointment for the early evening. He later left messages that he was able to be an hour early, which was fine with me. <br /> (Of the other two companies I called, one made an appointment for 4 days later, and the other called me back only right before Chris arrived, and offered me an appointment 3 days later. Neither company asked any of the questions that Chris asked, and which corrected my misunderstanding of the problem.) <br /> Chris checked the thermostat and the outside unit, and diagnosed the problem as a capacitor ruined by a power spike across the City of Riverside a few weeks ago. (No, the City won't reimburse us.) He had the correct replacement capacitor in his truck, so he was able to do the repair quickly. He also gave the unit a general check, and advised us on a do-it-ourself repair to quiet the furnace unit in the house. <br /> He was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, good-humored, and tidy, and I would definitely call him again for other repairs.

Had an emergency with no heat for a handicapped relative. Called Chris earlier in the morn and he was there to fix the unit within hours.  <br /> He was very honest and I will not hesitate to use him again.His fee was very reasonable,also...Great guy to deal with and personable..

After I purchased a house in 2009, I asked around the neighborhood for a referral to an HVAC company.  I was told that Chris at California Comfort has a reputation of doing excellent work at a reasonable price--and he will repair only what needs to be repaired.  I called them out to check-out the A/C before using it.  Chris was on time and courteous.  He discovered there were no filters in the unit!  He installed new filters and made sure the unit was safe and ready to go. <br /> <br /> I will call California Comfort for future HVAC needs.

The problem was resolved by cleaning a sensor for which they only charged me half hour labor. He also wrote me a letter when we filed with the licensing board. He suggested that I get a different type of connection from the gas. I wanted to give him some more business because he only charged me 50 bucks. So, I had him come out and do that. He showed up on time and didn?t jerk me around. He didn?t give me an inflated estimate and he did what he said he would do. I am pleased with him.
