California Decks

Two very hard-working young men did nearly all of the work under Itay's supervision. They cleaned up after themselves everyday. They did an excellent job. The photo attached shows the nice red/brown deck and the lighter colored pergola. We're very happy with the work.

Itay was an excellent collaborator during the design process and came up with a vision for our entertaining spaces that we were excited about. He and his team built our deck and pergola with a combination if ipe, mangaris, tigerwood and redwood...absolutely stunning. Their work was fast and high quality. I will use them again in the future and would strongly recommend them.

There is no one I would rather work with than Itay Mane. He not only makes sure that I am happy with the work , but he makes sure that the work is done to his high standards. His prices are extremely reasonable, he is prompt and he always makes me smile. I give my highest recommendation!

I spoke with Itay on a Friday. He was very friendly and was able to give me a rough quote on the phone based on the specs I had given him to make sure we were starting out on the same page. He came to the house and confirmed the estimate. His price was close to the other quotes I had been given but he seemed to use better materials and he was able to start on the following Tuesday. <br /> The team had to build on a very steep hill that is completely bedrock. This was no easy job and they totally came through for us. The deck is beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for. <br /> The only thing I would say that was a little bit of a concern was they were always on time, and they didn't always tell us when (or if) they'd be coming the next day. This made it difficult for us to know how to schedule our days, and we weren't certain when the job would ultimately be finished. More open communication would have made this a straight A review. This is, of course, not a huge deal. It's just something you may want to be more assertive with than I was if you hire them. We would still use them again and we're hugely satisfied with the work they did. Very solid company. <br />

From start to finish everything went smoothly and as you'd hope. We had a small (85 sq ft) deck off of our back sliding doors that was a DIY project done by the previous homeowners. After 9 years and a refinish attempt, the deck looked really bad. I contacted Itay, he came out and made some suggestions about changing the shape, adding a picture frame edge, etc. and we decided to move forward using Mangaris. I have to give Itay's crew a lot of credit - we've had a ton of work done on our house in the 8 years we've lived here and these were some of the most efficient and hard workers we met. Rigo started at 7 am and quit at 6 pm, making it so the deck was finished in two days. It's beautifully done - very pleased. I would not hesitate to hire California Decks again. <br />

After getting three bids we opted to go with California Decks. Their bid wasn't the lowest, but Itay's architectural and artistic sensibilities won us out in the end. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Itay and his crew were highly detail-oriented and professional throughout, often going above and beyond to do the job right. The few construction-related issues that came up were handled well, and Itay was frequently on-site managing all the details. The deck is rock solid and beautifully constructed. We highly recommend them! <br />

Very good; workers finished in 2 days and were considerate and left the place clean. When the bill came it was more than we were quoted. The owner explained that they had to replace wood where my foot had gone though. We had to pay for a full sheet and only used 1/8 of the sheet of which they keep the rest. This was all fine, but that is why I called them to show the hole in the balcony, so why did he not include this amount the first time. So, while everything else was good, just remember to ask for any extra cost. <br />
