Got referred to Call The Treeman by a friend. Within a couple of hours of calling I had an estimate, detailing the job. The estimate was considerably lower then that of several competitors, it paid attention to detail, including foliage that needed protection, in ground lines that may be in the way and so forth. Within 2 days after we gave the nod, the team came, did exactly what they said they would do in the estimate and the tree was completely gone within one day. The yard and the street did not get damaged and were clean when we came home and we had a small pile of firewood as requested.

In summary, our experience with Call The Treeman has been absolutely fantastic, we recommend them highly and without any reservation and will use them for any future treework that we may have.

I have used them twice and 3 of my neighbors have now used them and we all are extremly happy. Great price too.
They climb trees so a boom truck is not used.
We had two trees in the backyard that was in a position that was hard to remove. They took down both trees and made it look so easy. The debree was removed and the area was cleaned up very nicely. They also removed a tree limb hanging over the house as well as two trees in the front yard. Overall, an amazing job done.

I had never heard of Call the Treeman prior to reading about them on Angie's List. They did have essentially straight A ratings from a significant number of Angie's List clients and I decided to have them provide a bid. Their bid was several hundred dollars less than their closest competitor, but this price advantage does not tell the entire story. Most of the other bidders had significant reservations about removing our sickly 60 foot tall water oak. Most felt the access to our backyard was too restrictive for their equipment, and that several sections of fence would need to be taken down and replaced after work was complete. One required that I find him alternative access to our back yard for his equipment, presumably through our neighbors' yards, and could not guarantee that they would not leave large ruts in their properties. One local contractor told me that he was reluctant about even bidding the work due to the limited access, and the fact that the water oak was located between a hand built play structure we wished to preserve, and an in ground pool, with surrounding cool deck. Call the Treeman, on the other hand, planned to remove the trees and limbs using only ropes and chainsaws. They provided written estimates of the work to be performed, and provided me, upon my request, with a copy of the declarations page from their professional liability insurance coverage. They were a little behind in their schedule when I first accepted their bid due to some recent rain in our area which had delayed some jobs ahead of me. They called about a week later with a cancellation and asked if I would like to take the date, which I did. They arrived on time on the scheduled date with five men, a trailer for wood removal, various chainsaws, ropes and other equipment. We surveyed the work to be done (we had added some work to the front yard, which they bid quite reasonably) and they were off to the races. They removed all the dead limbs we wanted in short order. While working over my roof, they stationed one man on the roof to direct branches away from house. He used a blower to clean off my roof and gutters after the work was done. When it came to the water oak we were amazed at the efficiency with which they dispatched this ailing tree. They managed to get down the heavy limbs and trunk without any damage to the play structure, pool or cool deck. When finished they cleared out all of the debris, raking my yard for even the smallest pieces and using a blower to assure the cleanup was complete. They subcontracted the grinding of the water oak stump (they do not have stump grinder). They arranged for a local contractor to do this, and despite being finished with all of the other work, they would not leave the site on day #2 until he had completed the grinding to assure all went well. While waiting for the stump grinder they opted to remove multiple suckers from live oak limbs in the front yard (at not additional cost). They even blew off my entire circular driveway without being asked. Throughout the process the entire group was friendly, polite, and professional. They left my property without a trace of them having been there, except for the absence of the unwanted trees and limbs. I would recommend their services most highly and without reservation. I hope that as their business grows, as it undoubtedly will, that they will maintain this level of excellent service and professionalism.

Jonathan at Call a Treeman communicated well via AngiesList email and cell phone and provided a quick, reasonable estimate. I wasn't home to observe the whole process but I was told the crew of staff expertly removed the tree despite bad weather conditions. By the time I got home the tree was gone and the property was extremely clean. All debris were removed and my yard looked remarkable - I was stunned at how great my yard looked.
The next day the stump was grinded up which produced a ton of "mulch" or grindings. Unfortunately, my estimate did not include removal of stump grindings which I spent several days with neighbors having removed.
Call a Treeman will make sure you are happy before they accept any payment. They won't ask for half up front or any of the other tricks employed by some companies. They were loyal, honest, and worked extremely hard to have the hazardous tree removed safely.
I would highly recommend Call a Treeman however, make sure you get an estimate that includes removal of stump grindings as this is very labor intensive work.
I will be using them again to remove other sick trees on my property when the time comes.
Received name and number from a friend. Had all our correspondence via email. Excellent price for tree and debris removal. They finished the entire job in one day and did an excellent job - they even cleaned up the area.
Excellent customer service, fair pricing and great workmanship. You can't ask for more.
My neighbor and I sat on my front porch and watched the entire operation. We were mesmerized by the systematic way they operated. Schedule the work for a day when you have time to watch-from a safe distance, of course.
One man climbed the tree using the gear you see lumberjacks employ. He used a system of ropes to move the limbs which were then guided by a man on the ground so that they fell harmlessly to earth. Each limb was trimmed a piece at a time until it was completely removed. It was fascinating. All the pieces were loaded onto trucks and the bits were raked up and loaded too.
The palm tree was taken down in sections and taken to a truck for disposal.
I was very happy with both the work and with the price. Several of my neighbors also wanted to schedule service when they saw the skill these workers have in dealing with trees without using cherry pickers and other expensive equipment.
The service went great. I had called multiple tree services around town, based on high reviews and other criteria. The best deal I could get was $450 to remove ONE small tree and trim the trees growing alongside my house (and on to my roof). I saw the 'Treeman' working on my neighbor's trees and looked him up on Angie's; he had great reviews, just not enough for him ever to appear in my search results. I called, and he drove by my house and gave me an estimate two days later, which is fast considering some tree places would take two days just to respond to my calls. You can tell the gentleman knew a lot about trees...I mean a lot. He gave me a couple of service options and explained which trees would be a future problem as well as other tree's health conditions on my property... very knowledgeable. I was just trying to get one small tree removed and several trimmed, but when I found out he could remove 4 problematic trees and do the trimming, for only $25 more than my best estimate (ended up being $475 total), I jumped on the offer to avoid any future headaches. We agreed on a date, his team came out and trimmed, cut and removed everything. Please trust my warning: do not be afraid that his prices are so low that his team's performance will reflect that. I highly recommend Call the Treeman
Mr Callahan gave me a through evaluation of trees in my yard telling me which were most dangerous so far as my house, and told me about problem areas. He gave a very reasonable estimate, the workers were polite, quick and effective and left the area looking better than prior to service. Only minor problem was that I didn't hear right away where I was in the cue and had to call and find out when the work would be done. This is a minimal problem considering they are the only tree company I would consider calling now.
They showed up on time and removed the trees without incident. The job took 2 days.
I was, frankly, amazed at how they performed. I've had many trees removed on properties I managed up north before I retired. I wish I d been able to have Call the Treeman to do that work! The job was quick, clean and safe. (They left the property cleaner than it had been when they started)!
I got five prices for the work. Call the Treeman's proposal was the best of the lot. (The lowest bidder couldn't provide proof of worker's compensation insurance).
I have recommended Call the Treeman to 3 friends and neighbors, and I will use them again.

My house is surrounded by trees. One of them had rotted near the base and fallen against another tree--both trees were tipping dangerously near the house. I called these guys and two other tree services in town. The other two estimates were twice as much so I was a little skeptical. But they came out and did a great job. They brought proof of insurance. They were punctual, did the job quickly and were friendly and professional while doing it. I've seen tree guys work and these guys knew what they were doing and they were willing to do what we wanted, that is, they were willing to leave the logs in our yard as we requested rather than pressuring us to pay more and have them hauled away. Their truck is not as fancy as some, and I got the feeling they only had one or maybe two crews--maybe that was why they were less expensive. They were good at what they did and they saved me a chunk of money. You can't beat that. I will definitely call them again!
These people are seriously good! The tree they removed must have been about 80 feet high, and located between my own house and my neighbor's (very close together). They removed it without using any large machinery, hauling off the debris by manpower alone. There was NO damage to the fence or to my neighbor's lawn or to my own yard. They did a fantastic job, especially considering how restricted the access was. The area was left clean.
The quote beat all competition. And James was a pleasure to deal with, friendly and cheerful. They arrived when expected (one day late because of rain, but I was already informed about the possible delay). Communication was excellent. I will definitely be calling Call the Treeman whenever I need more tree work done. Cannot recommend them more highly.
They very efficiently removed a very tall, dead pine tree. The whole operation went smoothly and they removed all debris. We had other estimates, and this company had the best price, too.

They did a fine job or cutting two large, dead limbs. One was directly over my screened pool enclosure, and they managed to do it without dropping any debris on the enclosure. Very reasonably priced, too. It took a few days to get a quote back from them, but I think that was because I wasn't in a hurry and it was a small job.

We were very pleased with their service. They showed up with a large crew and they completed the job in a timely manner. We found them on Angie's list and after receiving several bids we chose them because theirs was the most competitive. They did an incredible job. We would definitely recommend them to others.
