Capital Flooring, Interiors and Carpentry

The end product is spectacular (photos attached).  Tom took care to make sure things were level and positioned correctly.  After the main bank of bookcases were constructed, it became apparent that something had to be done on the sides of the bookcase in order to balance things visually.  Tom worked with the homeowner and an extended design was agreed upon.  We are very pleased with the end result.  We felt comfortable giving Tom access to the house when we were at work (he had done work for the family before.)  Except for days when it was too cold to work in the garage, or because of conflicts in his work schedule or illness, the job was completed in a month. <br /> We are thankful that Tom was not afraid of heights. <br />

Tom was great to work with. From the time I got the quote to the finished product he was a true professional all the way. Quality was the best I have ever seen, no issues at all. I bought an unusual style floor that took extra effort to put in and it turned out great. His estimate was dead on and finished on time. I also felt very comfortable with him in my home without me there. I am going to hire him again to do the shower and also recommend him to some other people. When buying a product that is going to have to last for 20+ years and stand the test of time, you want it done right. He is the one to hire. <br />

Working with Tom was a pleasant experience from start to finish.  He is conscientious and takes pride in his work.  He wants the customer to be pleased with the product.  <br /> We needed a railing system in this 1960ish home to increase safety.  Tom assisted us in selecting a style and materials.  Tom preferred that we purchase the supplies and he would do the labor.  I met him at the the lumber store and ordered the parts for the railing,  I volunteered to do all the staining and Tom came after to do the installation.  There were some tricky spots and he kept at it until we were all satisfied.  I would attach a photo if I can figure out how to do so! <br />

Tom is very personable and takes pride in his work. His work was well done and he worked weekends and evenings as needed. He ran into a few issues that delayed the job a bit but he let us know what was going on andmade up the time. The tiles look great and the work was well done.

After meeting with several contractors I choose to work with Tom to install new tile in my front entry way and half bath. Tom was easy to work with, straightforward, and dependable. The quality of his work and attention to detail were above my expectations. I will absolutely consider Tom again in the future for any flooring or remodeling projects.

Outstanding work, true dedication to doing the job well and to high level of perfection.  Tom was courteous, professional, helpful, on time, stayed on task and an all around nice guy.  He took a flooring issue we found when we moved into our home and turned it into a perfect outcome.  We will use Tom again for a future repair/install in another area of our home.  Tom made it clear to us he is committed to excellence and puts doing the job right above moving on to the next job--in other words, he will not short change you.  Thanks for a job well don Tom.

<p>Tom is a likeable person who is easy to discuss details.  He wants the finished product to please his homeowner.  Since the tile was expensive, I definitely wanted an excellent company to do the work.  Tom himself is a perfectionist.  He is conscientious and straight forward about what he will do.  Unless he knows the end result will be top quality, he will not accept the responsibility to do it.  He wanted the finished work to be done in a highly professional way as much as I did.  In one of the bathrooms a bottom on a door had to be cut to fit.  He did a remarkable job.  I am very satisfied with the beautiful flooring and baseboards.  I recommend him highly, and hope to use him again in the future.</p>

We had been on the schedule with a contractor from Home Depot, but they cancelled and were not able to reschedule for weeks (we had already waited a few weeks since our purchase for material to arrive).  We were in the process of moving into a new home and were waiting for this job to be completed.  When we called Tom of Capital Flooring, it was 2 days before Thanksgiving.  He came out that night and assessed the situation, pointed out that their must have been a mis-measure with the previous contractor as the amount of flooring we had was not sufficient to complete the space.  He had some other jobs in progress, but was not working on them on Thanksgiving or the weekend that followed, so made himself available and took on our project.  He completed everything with the flooring we had and then promptly returned to finish the rest once we had received the necessary materials.  He selected and purchased some necessary trim parts that we did not have.  He also agreed to assemble some new dining furniture for us that had arrived during the flooring process (I was quite thankful for this, having been totally exhausted of all the "kit assemblies" that coincided with preparing the new home).  Additionally, we had had someone else install some carpeting a week prior and then one of the bedroom doors would not shut...Tom cut the door appropriately so that it was no longer in conflict with the carpet, re-hinged it and all was well.   <br /> We were very thankful to Tom for his promptness in meeting with us, his ability and willingness to take on our job over a holiday on short notice (one of the days he was working, his mother came by to have lunch with him--we were not at the house, I was just stopping by and met her.  we thought this relationship was nice to see, but felt some guilt that he was working on a weekend that most people were not), and his straightforward and thorough approach.  The quality of his work was outstanding and we would absolutely hire him for future projects and will refer him to everyone!  He was outstanding!  Thank you Tom!

The project went well everything turned out exactly how I wanted it. Tom was awesome to work with and I was very comfortable with him and having him in my home even when I was away. He kept me in the loop as to when he was coming and going and what his plan was for the day on my job. I will continue to use him for anything I can because I now know how awesome his workmanship is and his character/integrity. He wanted me to be happy with my job and went out of his way to make sure I was.

Tom was great to work with.  We had ordered flooring and had it delivered ourselves, but when they started to lay it, it was not going down correctly.  They stopped and showed us what was going on.  We then returned that flooring, ordered other flooring and they called and told us it had the same issue.  Third time was the charm for the flooring, and Capital flooring, was great with rescheduling for when the flooring came in.  We had multiple upgrades going on over a few week period and they were wonderful for working into the master schedule.  Most of the flooring is down and they are finishing up today, but just wanted to share about their great service and great installation job.  Basically they were willing to wait and do the job right!  I would use them again! <br />

Capital installed a hardwood floor in our home.  They were professional, and accurate with the estimate.  We are very pleased with the floor, and would recommend, and use them again.

I had visitors scheduled to arrive the evening of Friday, October 7th, and the Saturday before, found the Bamboo flooring that I wanted <em>on sale</em> at Panel Town. I called Brian Ganyard of Affordable Flooring on Angie's List, and he came to give me an estimate on Monday evening, October 3rd.  Brian was punctual and did the requisite measurements so I could purchase the floors, but his schedule was full, so he asked if I would be interested in using another member of Angie's List whose work he could recommend: Tom Cieszenski of Capital Flooring.  He said he had worked with Tom on many occasions, and he believed I'd be happy with the outcome. <br /> <br /> I went to Panel Town on Tuesday and bought the wood and other items I would need. The guys at Panel Town were great, per usual, and they loaded the boxes of wood into my car so I could get them home to "adapt" to my house before they were installed. <br /> <br /> I scheduled Tom to begin the project on Thursday morning at 9:00am, and he arrived on time and ready to work. He knew I had cut my measurements close and was careful to have as little waste as possible. He worked non-stop and had the main flooring installed by mid-afternoon Thursday. He returned Friday morning to complete the work, and when he had almost finished,  he offered to paint my baseboards at no charge (!) since they were scuffed. <br /> <br /> My floors were installed in time for my visitors and I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Tom of Capital Flooring, Brian of Affordable Flooring, and Panel Town--all three of the Angie's List vendors I used to make it happen!
