The project went exactly as Nelson described the process. We have a very open floor plan and they sealed it up with plastic so there was minimal dust in the other parts of the house. We wanted our red oak floors a lighter stain and before selecting the specific one, several were applied as test samples. Very pleased with the color and finish we selected. The crew was professional, polite and very good at what they do. I would recommend Capital Flooring without reservation.

Let me start by saying I am a DIYer and was going back-and-forth in my head on whether I was going to do this job myself. However, I know that sanding hardwood floors is a scale and if you mess it up you have to live with that mistake. I researched local Fredericksburg hardwood floor resurfacing companies and found capital flooring. Nelson responded to my request within 30 minutes and came out that same day to give me a price quote. I was surprised at the cost of the total job. I was even a little skeptical at first. I’ve talk to locals who’ve stated there are some real scams out there. THIS IS NOT A SCAM! We scheduled a date and his crew showed up on time the morning of. It’s incredible how fast they work and how exceptionally well the floors look. They are very professional and proficient. They put plastic up all around the areas that accessed other rooms to keep the dust down. They even forewarned me every time they were turning the machine on because it’s loud. I’m so glad I hired capital flooring and I am exceptionally pleased with the product. They sanded off the top layer of my hardwood floors, mixed a stain that matched my new vinyl floors, and applied two coats of oil based polyurethane for the finish. They also installed, and stained flush registers for my exposed ducts and stained new transition pieces to go from hardwood to vinyl flooring. I have already recommended capital flooring to multiple friends and will continue to do so!

From beginning to end, the process was painless at a very fair price. The estimate was done quickly and the floors are beautiful. The professionals are polite and consideration was given to every concern.

We had originally hired another company to do our second floor hardwood flooring, and Nelson and his crew was subcontracted to install it for us. The installation was so awesome that we decided to ask Nelson to do our basement with LVP (a project we previously wanted to take on ourselves) as well. We did not regret that decision at all. From the competitive price to the clean-up after it was installed, everything was great! It took exactly four days from the time we got a quote from Capitol Flooring to the floor being fully installed.

Wow. This company is amazing 5 stars! They are professional, punctual, respectful, reasonably priced, they were always available for questions and changes. I’m in awe of how smooth the project went and I’m in love with my refinished hardwood! I asked if they did any other home improvements because I honestly would want them to finish my whole home! Sadly they only specialize in hardwood flooring, but that speaks volumes because they have mastered their craft and stick to what they know best! Very pleased. Do not hesitate to hire them :)
