Carlos Hererra Pool & Spa Service

DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR! I hired Carlos initially to replace a single 4' x 8' concrete pad on the side of my pool that was cracked. It took him two weeks to show up (beginning of November). When he did show up, he did not have a crew with him, which I thought was strange. We discovered that my skimmer was leaking so I agreed to have him fix that as well. It took him almost 5 weeks to remove, and replace the skimmer and the concrete pad. This is normally (as I'm told by actual professionals on AngiesList) a 2 day job. When he finally did replace the concrete pad, he sloped the concrete AWAY from the center drain instead of towards it & failed to install the Deck-o-seal that was promised in our initial pricing contract. After another month of hounding him, he finally came back and did a partial, half-assed job of fixing the concrete to angle it towards the drain, but destroyed the dain cover in the process and left it uncovered. The concrete was so poc-marked and pitted that I had to get out there myself and put a skim coat on to try and salvage what was left. It is now two months later and he STILL has not installed the Deck-o-seal, despite multiple phone calls and texts trying to contact him. AGAIN, DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR! He talks a good game but he has no real idea what he is doing with any kind of concrete repair. He's also totally unreliable. Working with this man has been the single worst experience I have EVER had with a contractor off of Angie's List

Smooth, work done fast.

We called Carlos, he was responsive and came out that day! He looked at the pool and talked through the issues with us, he is very knowledgable. Within in one week he had it in tip top shape! I don't know how he did it but our pool has been clean and pristine since and we now happily use him weekly. He takes the time and cares about what he does. We are so appreciative. We are planning to use him to redo all the outdated equipment and resurface the pool in the near future. Highly Recommend!

Carlos is a man of his word. If he commits on something specifically like scheduling he makes sure he comes on time and executes whatever he promised to do, for instance he made a commitment to come at 8 AM to do the cleaning and some extra work to make the water in the pool crystal clear and he did that. Also one thing we like about Carlos is that he finds time to explain the details of the work to be done. He also makes sure he calls back if he missed our call. I would highly recommend Carlos.
