I am very happy with the carpet installed by this company. I am not at all happy that the installers stole from me. The salesperson basically said the installers had been with them for 17 years and do not steal. 3 installers showed up and one gave me bad vibes from the start. For someone that has done this for 17 years the other two certainly had to tell him exactly what to do. I don't think this guy was part of the regular crew. I was basically told someone else must have stolen the jewelry from my home. Funny thing is I live alone, have an alarm and nobody else has a key. The jewelry was hidden in a ornamental clock that was in one of my bathrooms upstairs with all the other items I took off the furniture to get ready for the installation. I even told the installers to use the downstairs bathroom as the upstairs bathrooms were full of my belongings. One of the installers used the toilet in my guest bath where the clock was stored. I used the jewelry one week earlier and nobody but Carpet Spectrum was in my home.....I guess my cat went out and pawned the jewelry. It was not a huge loss (about $500) but one piece was very dear to me. Word to the wise...do not leave Carpet Spectrum installers alone with your valuables.

<p>In retrospect, I think we were overcharged. Especially since they cut too big a hole for the shower head and I ended up going out and getting a larger one to cover their mistake. They also cut the toilet opening too large so there is an opening on the floor by the toilet. When I called to tell them about it, they said they would come back to re-do it. But since I thought I would have them come back for something else I said to wait. I was, at that time, sick of having the place torn up. So that is my fault.</p> <p>The work they did do was very good, with the above exceptions. But every time I get in the shower I see the cut in the tile at the shower head. My feeling is they should not have to be told about it and to come back; it should have been done right in the first place.</p> <p>Also-----the above date is very approximate.</p> <br />

I recently used carpet spectrum to put carpet throughout my newly purchased house. The quality and customer service were good, however, the installation was awful. The installers took no regard to my home as they drug the carpet across my walls and doors coming in and out of the house. Between my bedroom and hall, a 1 inch gap was left and had to be filled using a strip of carpet that is easily noticeable when entering the room. And finally, when the installers where finished, they didn't even bother to vacuum up all the carpet clippings and trash left behind. I was extremely disappointed due to the fact I had just spent a couple thousand dollars. <br />

<p>They were on time and completed the work.  However, the measured incorrectly and I had much to much linoleum left over.</p> <p>Also, they took the wood trim near the floor off around all the rooms where they replaced the flooring.  They replaced the wood trim after the install but left it tacky and told me I need to repaint it.  I had just had it painted a few weeks before.</p> <p>It took an act of Congress to get them to come back out and repaint the trim.  However, they only painted it in the kitchen and eating area.  They would not repaint in the two bathrooms</p> <br />

The did a great job cleaning the carpets.  We were just moving into our home so they also asked if we wanted our hardwood floors refinished.  They quoted a price and we agreed.  They were able to fit us in later that day as our furniture was being delivered the next day.  When we saw the floors the next day I thought they looked beautiful.  Although over the next few weeks I noticed a lot of areas where the floor appeared to be scratched or where the poly was peeling.  As the next month went on I realized that the job that was done was just not very good.  At this point, I began really looking at the flooring.  In the dining room, living room, etc.  I noticed a bunch of different places where there were drips on the floor and where the laying of the poly wasn't consistent.   <br /> I contacted Jason, the owner, and left several messages.  He never returned my call.  I finally got a hold of him and he asked a bunch of questions and then he said would get back to me.  I waited for almost 2 weeks, maybe a bit longer and he never called.  I then called again.  He agreed to come out.  We set up a time and day.  On the day he was supposed to come out (9:00 am) he did not show up until 1:00!!!!  I called him probably 5 times and he didn't pick up.  When I finally got a hold of him he said that we would be out within the hour.  He showed up 2 hours later.  When I asked him why they were so late, he told me that they had had a busy morning. <br /> After a conversation and him looking at the floors he agreed to redo them.  They moved my furniture out to the garage.  I didn't have a great deal of items to be moved.  I did however appreciate that they moved them for me.  He sent out a guy the next day to redo the floors.  He was the same guy that was here the first time.  He was really unprofessional and I felt very uncomfortable as I could tell he didn't want to be redoing the floors.  The next evening Jason sent over 3 guys to move my furniture back in.  I showed the guys some areas where the poly was buckled  (due to dust that wasn't cleaned) and a major area in the dining room that had a bad sanding mark. The employees agreed that it looked horrible.  One of them called Jason and told them they the floors looked bad and he said he would call me to set up a time to come out and look.  He never called.  I called him 2 times and left messages, but I never heard back.   <br /> <br />

The installation was average; it was not really installed accurately. They came back and tried to fix it but said it would be fine eventually. We paid $4,000 for the installation. The carpet cleaning was complimentary since we bought the carpet there. The carpet cleaning was fine and they did a fine job. I don't know if I would recommend them to anybody because I had a pretty average experience.

Well, we had mixed emotions. We got what we thought was a fair price when compared to another vendor, Tim Hogans carpet. The problem came when the installers showed up and said they didn't have enough carpet to do the job. The salesman claimed we asked him to not replace the carpet in one bedrooms, which wasnt the case. We ended up splitting the cost with them but it did leave a bit of a sour taste from the experience. In addition to the added cost, we had to take additional time from work so the installers could come back and finish the job. <br />

I got an estimate from C S first, then called the larger, name brand store (Kiser) for an estimate. Name brand was twice as much at $10K, plus salesman did not come with samples nor was prepared to give me a price the same day as was C S.

They showed up close to the quoted time (about 1/2 hour late) but they did call before coming.  They did a good professional job and repaired some previously damaged carpet edges.  There was one place that could have been better repaired, but watch them closely because there was some stapling done that could have been neater.  All in all, they did a good job, because they did have quite a challenge on the spot where the questionable stapling area was

Forest came and gave me an estimate. He was super friendly and very quick in sending me a formal estimate.  <br /> There were two men that came and removed the tile and cut/laid the new hardwood. They were very friendly and worked quickly-but they left a mess. There was lots of dust and busted up tile left throughout the downstairs living space. <br /> I gave this company an overall rating of A despite this-largely due to the two men that came next and did the sanding, buffing and refinishing. Their names were Jeremiah and Justin and they felt like family before they left. They worked so hard, not even leaving for lunch. They ate in their truck. They were very professional, informative and even played with my kids. They called all 3 mornings to let me know they were on their way so I would know exactly when to expect them. They explained the job in detail, what to expect on each step and day of the process. Jeremiah even repaired some trim that was damaged from the previous owner(in no part due to the work they were doing). I was overwhelmed with the 20 stain choices for the floors. They were patient and experienced in helping me narrow it down. They put several samples on the floor to allow me to choose. I cannot say enough good things about these men.  I would highly recommend them for any job. <br /> <br /> UPDATE: <br /> Earlier this year I had the front door replaced. Due to this work, some of the trim and a small part of hardwood was scuffed/replaced. I called Carpet Spectrum to find out the name of the stain so the door man could repair. I was told that they had no idea what color stain was used. The blame was placed on the worker who was no longer employed there. I know this may be nit-picky, but I was greatly disappointed by the customer service which was so impressive on my initial dealing with them. There was no offer to come look or try and guess/match the stain. Just "oh well, sorry". <br /> Whoever you use for any work, I would encourage you to ask questions and keep your own records. I had no idea I would not be able to obtain this info later. <br />

My new carpet had some wine spilt on it. They fixed it with a spot cleanser and removed the wine stain completely. I am happy with their job, as I'd have hated for my new carpet to get spoilt so soon. They were really prompt and paid immediate attention to my complaint.
