"Hey [Member Name Removed]. Thank you for the review. I explained what the issue was with your baseboards, if you remember correctly. When they were installed initially, the trim carpenter's had some cuts that weren't quite right, and they used putty and caulking to mask these cuts. When we removed the baseboards, the putty and caulking came out. We did our best to putty these areas and make the baseboards look good as new again. As far as the unreturnable boxes, we haven't had issues returning boxes to the particular store you bought your flooring from. I believe your flooring was a special order item and the flooring store should have let you know about their return policy when you purchased the flooring. It clearly stated on the first quote we sent you that the estimate was for labor only and all materials purchased would be added at the end of the project. We do this on all our solid hardwood repairs because it's difficult to judge exactly what we will need to purchase to get the job done, especially if there are leveling issues in the areas that need repairing. Its also difficult to estimate exactly how long a repair project will take. We ran into a few issues during the process that slowed us down a little. instead of just doing repair in the master bedroom, the entire bedroom needed to be replaced so it would be level.
