Casablanca Painting

Ben did an excellent job painting our house!! He is very meticulous with his work. Ben’s knowledge in treating and painting the wood is invaluable. He knows what he is doing, and thoroughly explains everything. Ben takes great pride in his work, and he really cared about us being happy, which we were. In addition to painting the house, I asked Ben if he could also make and paint shutters. He was so willing to accommodate our wishes. On our part, we just needed to be patient. The weather got in the way, but the outcome was so worth it. Great job to Ben and his crew! Will hire again!

The painting work was good. Took three tries to connect. Said I would get a discount because he didn’t show for first 2 appointments, but I didn’t. Asked me for lights to use when they came to paint. Got paint on my cork floor and left it.

The painting went great. They had to scrub the walls to remove the glue from the wallpaper and also seal them because the previous owner was a heavy smoker. They did a wonderful job and I would hire them again.

Ben did a great job, was very clean, had AMAZING attention to detail, and my house looked amazing after he was done. He was very flexible with my busy schedule and always let me know when he was done for the day. He is a little more expensive than other painters but you get what you pay for. Glad I went with Ben.

Ben came to do the estimate and his knowledge, expertise and passion were invaluable in helping me understand the process and what needed to be done to achieve the best results. I was not disappointed! Ben and his crew did an amazing job from start to finish. They worked extremely hard to accommodate my needs, including weekends and finished the job much earlier then I expected. The workmanship, quality and attention to detail were exceptional and the interior of the house looks like new! Ben and his crew always went above and beyond when addressing any problems or issues that came up and they certainly exceeded my expectations. The interior of the house looks incredible and has gotten rave reviews from everyone who has seen the work. I am having additional work done in the house and not only has Ben promised to come back to do any touch ups that might be necessary, he has stopped by to check on the progress! I can't stress enough what a positive experience this was and now I have someone I can count on for future projects.

Excellent! Ben had a good sized crew in to tackle this job. All was done in only 2 work days AND done very well. We particularly appreciated the extent that was taken AFTER the painting was done: everything cleaned up, floors swept/vacuumed, multiple walk-through inspections before the crew left, searching for anything missed. PLUS, helping return all the furnishings back to their proper places - what a time saver for us!

AMAZING!! We called them on Friday and told them we had a rush job because we needed an appraisal ASAP! They came Saturday to give an estimate and did all the work on the next Tuesday! It was such a beautiful job too! I will definitely be hiring them again!!

The workmanship was excellent.  The quality of the paint/stain job is excellent.  The owner, Ben, does the estimates and leads the crew that does the work.  He was very knowledgable and conscientious.  Once they started the job, they worked consistently every day until it was done, including weekends, and it was actually done a bit earlier than I expected it would be.   <br /> Was anything not quite perfect?  Cleanup was a bit less thorough than I would have hoped.  But better than other contractors I've used for other work.   <br /> Also, before they began the work, they didn't always get back to me promptly when I left messages.  But once they started, every time I called Ben he got back to me very very quickly.   <br /> All things considered, I highly recommend Casablanca based on the quality of the work and the very fair price. <br />

I removed the wallpaper in my master bathroom myself, then hired Casablanca to finish the job.  They very thoroughly cleaned the paste off of the walls.  The walls were all properly resurfaced, they did not skip any steps or take any shortcuts, the way other contractors recommended.  This process included priming and applying a new coat of plaster to the walls to make an ideal paintable surface.  They then painted the walls with care and precision.  It has been almost 9 months, and there are no signs of wallpaper paste bleeding though the paint color.   The quality of workmanship is excellent.  I also had Casablanca repaint the bathroom vanities, and they turned out beautiful.  After 9 months, no bubbling, rippling, or peeling.  The owner insists on using best practices and high quality products.  His crew were extremely polite and very clean.  To top things off, the pricing was extremely reasonable.  I took quotes from 2 other contractors, and they did not want to do all the wall resurfacing that Casablanca did, yet their prices were significantly higher.   I was so happy with the work and cost that I will be using Casablanca again for my kitchen remodel this summer.   <br />

Ben did a wonderful job repairing the problem areas!  You would never know that there <em> was</em> a problem...the repair blends perfectly.  Ben and his skilled crew were polite and very careful not to drip paint on my wood floor and woodwork.  They did a great job!  However, after a couple of days I noticed a couple of areas that required some additional attention ( a waterstain that was on the ceiling was just barely showing through).  I called Ben to have him return for the problem area.  It took a little longer for him to return than I had hoped due to another job that he was at.   I would use Casablanca painting again for any future needs. <br />

They were the first provider to respond to my inquiry, calling me back to set up an appointment for an estimate immediately. After getting a few estimates, I hired them right away. They were on time and cleaned up every day. They did an excellent job and I would have them back.

I  had some design work in stripes done in my younger boys room that I Absolutely LOVE!! Ben and his team did a FANTASTIC JOB!! They started when we wanted and I was thankful our time frame fit in there schedule. He finished before our deadline and even came back with short notice to fix some repairs that the carpet layers messed up the base boards and some walls. <br /> I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing paint done!!! Very professional and I will be calling them in the future with any of my painting needs!!!!! Thanks Ben and Team!!! <br />

It went very well. The storage shed was prepared by power washing it to get all the peeling paint removed. Gaps were filled in with silicone on the shed and the porch. Then both were painted and look just beautiful. Ben, the owner, was there helping and overseeing his crew. <br />

My husband and I hired Casablanca Painting in June of 2007 to paint our condo.  They were amazing. They completed the work promptly and it looked great.   <br /> In June of 2013 my husband and I were completing our basement and I thought immediately of hiring Casablanca to paint our basement once it was finished.  I have to say that I was very disappointed the second time around.   <br /> When Ben and his assistant Nancy came to give us a quote, Ben mentioned that he could mud/tape our drywall.  I asked Nancy to provide me with a quote for both mud/tape and painting.  Nancy provided me with a quote for both services, which I thought was low.  I asked Ben about the quote and he told me that Nancy made a mistake.  Nancy resent the quote and it was still the incorrect amount.  After finally receiving the correct quote, we agreed to the services.   <br /> I am not sure if Casablanca bit off more than they could chew but Ben continuously told me that his workers would not be coming to perform services if it the weather was nice outside.  I swear I felt like I was constantly checking the weather and praying for rain so that the work would get done.  It took several weeks for them to finish.  There is nothing worse than when work on your home drags on.  I was waiting for the paint to be completed before we could have carpet installed, doors to be put up and trim to be installed.  Casablanca held things up for several weeks. <br /> While the work was being performed I would have my mother stay at our home because I had to work.  When my mother would ask Ben any questions about when they would be coming back he would not answer or even look at her. <br /> There were several times when I would attempt to contact Ben (because he would never let me know when I should expect workers at my home) and he would not answer his phone or respond to the voice mails.  I would have to contact Nancy who was not able to get a hold of Ben either. <br /> Needless to say the mud and tape part was not performed well.  You could see the lines where the mud was not smoothed out or sanded.  I have learned my lesson and next time I will hire a contractor that specifically mud and tapes. <br /> The painting was not horrible.  I saw many mistakes.  They were in a giant rush to finish painting.  I remember Ben telling me that they had to be done with the job "today."  It didn't even look like there were two coats of paint on some walls.  The bathroom ceiling that they painted looked awful.  It looked like they didn't bring proper lamps for lighting.  Ben told me at the beginning of the project that he would come back and perform any touch ups that needed to be done.  Again, after attempting to contact him several times he finally showed up and put plaster or putty on parts of the walls and told me that he would come back to smooth it out and paint.  I didn't even bother having them come back.  My husband sanded down the plaster himself and painted the areas that they missed. <br /> It is such a shame that we had such a poor experience the second time around with Casablanca Painting.  After our first contact with Casablanca in 2007 we referred many of our friends to them.  After our second contact with Casablanca we would not contact them for any work in the future nor would we refer them to any friends or family. <br />

He came as asked and on time. I got a few other quotes and his was very <br /> reasonable. They are local, and when I needed a few things touched up he <br /> came back and took care of it. <br /> All It All it was a great experience. <br />

They contacted me right away after my initial inquiry and came out that night to give us an estimate.  The estimate came in a bit higher than we wanted, considering we were going to have to replace the closet doors as well.  They agreed to do the closet doors for only $20 more dollars.  They were out on a Tuesday, did the work over the course of 2 days, then came back on the 3rd to touch up the parts that were not dry when they left.  Ben also came back to correct a few problems, very quickly and professionally.  I would definitely use them again.  And will be, when we move on to the next room, or basement remodel. <br />

Paint family room including one color over paneling, another on the walls and ceiling white.  They did everything that they said they would and did it much faster.  Prior to painting, they primed and made some minor corrections to the walls.

Long and short is they did our interior painting. Did a FANTASTIC job. Exterior needed to be done but, in my opinion, WAY overpriced. So, we went with another provider.

Communication at the onset was somewhat unclear but after things were clarified things went more smoothly. Any minor issues were immediately corrected. Excellent cleanup occurred.
