Subject: Burst pipes and Shower valve. I called Casteel and advised that our Thermostat was not working. On December 22, 2022, James Rears, (tect.) From Casteel arrived and advised that the problem was the outside battery needed to be replaced. Mr Rears left and the Thermostat still did not work. On December 23rd, (tech.) Chrisian Beckwith said that the Circuit board needed to be replaced however he did not have the part so we had no heat in the master Bed Room, Game Room, Guest Bed Room and Bath Room. We had a Hard Freeze in the Teens and because there was no Heat in the Guest Bath Room pipes burst as well as the main valve for the Shower. We had no Heat or Water December 24 and Christmas Page 2 Day. On December 28, Marvin Deleon from Casteel installed the new Circuit Board and Thermostat. My April Air Humidifier was not working. Mr. Deleon said the solenoid valve was bad. Later I removed the Humidostat and noticed that it also appeared bad. I have installed a new valve and humidastat but it still is not working. On December 26th, I installed two shut off valves going to the bathroom and shower so I could shut off the water going to the bathroom. This restored water to the rest of our house. The next 7-8 days I replaced the three broken pipes only to find that the valve for the shower had burst also. On December 29, a Plumber from Casteel said he located the burst pipe and told me the cost to repair. I advised that Casteel was responsible so he left without any repair. I know now that it was not just one pipe but three pipes and the shower valve. As of January 5th, 2023 all plumbing repairs are complete except for the replacement of the shower valve. The damage to the Shower ceiling still has to be repaired. In conclusion I have worked every day for the past 10 days getting the parts and replacing the pipes. Page 3 I have many photos of the damage and repairs that I have provided to Casteel. All work/repairs are completed: Total cost including parts, labor and ceiling repair: $2,345.00 I have reached out many times to Ms. Caitlyn Powell but have only received emails saying that she spoke with her supervisor and they advised her that Casteel is not responsible for the freeze problems. Used Casteel for a plumbing issue - leaky shower faucet. We were told on the phone that there is an $89 charge to come out and see what the problem is and that they will give us a quote on what it is and how much and we can decide if we want to have them fix it. The guy came out and said it is probably needs a new cartridge but before that he needed to check and make sure the pressure on the house was not too high. He checked the pressure and it was fine he said it was the cartridge and he would write up a quote. When he came back in he said that he applied the $89 and a $50 coupon so he took off a little over $100 and that it would be $600 after that. I almost fell in the floor. I asked how much the cartridge was and how much they charge per hour for labor. He said he didn’t know how much the part cost and that they don’t charge by the hour but by the job. I asked how long it takes to do he said 20 minute tops. Again, shocked. We asked him for a minute to talk about it and I looked to see how much it usually costs. The part is 15-80 and labor is 95-150 an hour. So max price should be 230. We told him thanks but no thanks we would pay the $89 fee to come out. He then said it’s actually $128 because he checked the pressure and that was a diagnostic fee. Mind u he never told us there was a charge to check that. We paid him and will never use them again. Crazy!! If I could give 0 stars I would.

The radio commercials for Casteel are what steered my decision to scheduling my main waterline repair with them. However, after the experience that I had with their team I will be utilizing them for all of my future needs. The dispatch and scheduling office were pleasant and professional as well as never having to be on hold for (not exxaggerating) more than a minute. From then on they maintained communication with me via text and email so that I was never left in the dark. Jonathan was right on time, very thorough and knowledgeable, checking to make sure that everything was back in order before ever mentioning payment. This is the kind of service that you need from an already stressful situation and is my primary reason for recommending these guys. Turns out the house has a blue ploy line which was discontinued a while back for constant leaks. Bad luck for me that I missed the recall window but I know for **** sure what team I trust to replace my mainline. It's a long stretch of yard that they will have to trench to get the line put in with several ways that it could go wrong which affects my estimate but after enough experiences with other companies I know that you get what you pay for and your fresh running water is not something to attempt the cheap way. Even with that, they applied the cost of my mainline repair to the replacement which put my total damage at around 4500 clams. If you have to drop that kindof cheddar on your home maintenance youre gonna need the assurances that come with a company that goes above and beyond to earn your continued business and that is what I felt with Casteel. TLDR; they make at least one thing on your "to do" list simple and as pleasant as possible.

I thought I just needed a furnace check, which would have involved probably simply cleaning the flame sensor. However, the technician discovered a wire that was almost burned through since it was too close to the flames. The wirenut on the wire was almost destroyed. He was observant enough to find it (it was pretty well hidden) and replaced both wirenut and a damaged section of wire. No telling when it would have burned completely through shutting my furnace down completely during mid-winter. Very grateful for his thouroughness.

The gentleman showed up and informed us the current line was illegally installed. He got the correct parts, installed quickly and even fixed an additional leak. AMAZING JOB!

A/C wasn’t turning on

It was excellent, they were very efficient, come out twice a year to check the furnace and every summer to check the air conditioning system.

Better than expected. Ryan Dvorak (Tech) was upfront about cost, time and details of service. I was very, very pleased with the entire crew. They had to dig the ground by hand because of the location and since it is the hard Georgia clay it was hard but made it look effortless. They entire job was done ahead of schedule and below the original cost estimate. I am sold on the company and recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work.

plumbers were great. scheduling was a challenge. pricing was extremely high. i called to speak to a manager and never got a call back. i believe some miscommunication had occurred and i was priced incorrectly.

This was a challenging project because the system was at the far end of long ranch style home in a very tight craw space. They never entered the house without shoe coverings and cleaned up the work area outside every evening before leaving the job. On the final day there were a few vents that, for whatever reason, were not putting out air. Ansou Doumbouya Stayed behind and spent at least two hours correcting the problem. He was professional and was determined to make certain that I was satisfied with the job. I can not say anything bad about Casateel and their service.
